This is my second visit to this location. They made such an impression on me during my very first visit to the area a couple years back. The space exudes luxurious and tranquility. In need of a pedicure, it was a no brainer to visit them again. Upon checking in, I was surprised to realize I had not reviewed them previously. I was able to be serviced immediately upon arrival there. I was given a list of services to peruse as the water was prepared. I selected the Bath Bomb Pedicure from their list of specialty spa treatments. I was offered and accepted a mimosa to drink during the service as done during my prior visit. The service itself was exceptional. The massage with the sugar scrub was AMAZING! The paraffin wax was icing on the cake. I left there completely rejuvenated and relaxed. read more

CLEAN! Which is obviously the most important factor. This was only my second time visiting and the last time I came the experience was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and Helen was so sweet. She did a number on my toes and once I left it felt like I had a brand new set of feet!!! She was patient, attentive and did her job very well. I highly recommend this location. read more

My first appointment one month ago was great. I really liked the way the lady did my nails and pedicure. So I scheduled an appointment the next time with the same women. I booked one week in advance. I get to my appointment and I had to wait 15 minutes before they set me up for my pedicure. Now it's been 1 hour and a half and no one came to do my nails. I asked and they said they are really busy, why even make appointment. Plus I didn't see the woman that did my nails last month there. Why couldn't they let me know she wasn't there any longer. It's frustrating and I don't have 3 to 4 hours. Very disappointed. read more

Couldn't get it with my normal nail shop in a pinch, so tried this one out. I got a basic pedicure only. The environment and aesthetic was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Getting in was easy. Pedicure was awful. while trimming my cuticles she cut me 3 times so badly that I gasped and withdrew my foot. After she was done with my pedi I was about to leave and she pulled out the clippers AGAIN.Ive never had someone do this at this point. Yup, and cut me again. I told her she was killing me and she laughed. I was not smiling. I left with bleeding toes. it's a day later and my toes still hurt. Beware of Judy. read more

The lady that did my nails was so rude. She hit my hand hard with the nail file because I didn't relax my hand and was so rough with me. I have never had a bad experience at a nail salon like this. I will never come here again or recommend it to anybody. read more

They overcharge and are sneaky about it. I have been going there for a couple of years and they had always been good to me until recently. I had felt like the prices were getting higher on a few occasions, but was willing to pay for good service. Today I went in for underarm wax and only that. When I got out, she told me it was $25 (which was higher than usual) but I paid. When she had me sign the receipt, I see it says "back" and I ask her about it and she tells me, that's the same price and takes the receipt from me while smiling. That didn't sit well with me. So I ask my husband to call and inquire. He was quoted $20 for underarms. I know it's $5, but it's the fact that you are sneakily overcharging for what reason? Needless to say, I won't be back. I don't mind paying $25, if that's what it costs, but not because you want to be dishonest. I've recommended several friends there and they are aware of their dishonest business practices. read more

I was pleased with Rumors Nails & Spa until Vivian my nail tech was taking advantage of my GENEROSITY! Upon until recently when I took a stand about being a better steward of my money and watching where and who I give my money to. A few weeks ago, I went to see Vivian about a nail I broke, I only needed 1 nail fixed because I was attending an event and I must look my put together. 1 $8 nail including tip ended up costing me $25, I didn't question it because I TRUSTED her and I just said to myself I'm going to start watch her. I want to say each time I walked out of there I was spending about $200 with tips (nails & pedicures). That's pricey I know but I'm picky and I value GOOD WORK, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and in the tipping industries TIPS show your servicer you really value them. I was working the upcoming weekend and my nails must look on point, I didn't need a refill because I was just there 2 weeks prior. Strangely 1 nail broke $8 and I walk outta there spending $20, I was distracted on the phone paid and left. Truth be told, I didn't tip her this time. I handled some business up the street and noticed my nail looked jacked up to the point I went back to the shop at 4pm in the afternoon. I'm pointing out 4 pm because the traffic would be horrible going home and I was very much irritated because there was NO denying what I previously suspected...THAT GIRL WAS GOUGING ME and taking advantage of my kindness. I bypass MS. Tina and nicely, pleasantly with a smile spoke to Vivian about it. RED FLAGS RED FLAGS started waving, Vivian had an attitude...feeling some type of way by my complaint! That girl wanted to fix my crooked, out of shape botched up nail with the emery board (my apologies I didn't snap a picture). I said "Noooo, replace it". She proceeded to want to grind it down, I snatch my finger and instructed her to soak it off,...girl quit playing with me! I then ask her, how did I come in here intending to spend under $10 and Jezzus take the wheel....she says " I only made $6 off yours nails" I replied "I didn't ask YOU what YOU made, this is about ME the customer". Little Miss. Thang, go run and tattle tale on me, I ear hustle and SHES upset at ME?! Girl STOP! I explain MYSELF because first off, IM THE CUSTOMER, IM ARTICULATE ENOUGH TO USE MY THROAT CHAKRA and NOT the one who just walks out and NEVER come back. NO you wronged me and I HELPED with the expansion of the shop! I requested someone else and upon talking to Ms.Tina, the $6 Vivian made off of me now goes to Ms. Anna who is my 2nd choice. Less that 24hrs later, 1 of the 3 nails she fixed split in the same exact spot Vivian was supposed to fix the last I complained. The ONLY reason I returned after that day was because I should not have to go somewhere else and pay again! I returned and Christ a 3rd nail she was supposed to have fix was breaking. Nope don't bandage my nail, replace it. Tit for tat, to replace that nail would come out of Vivian's pocket. Upon checking out, I informed Ms. Tina I would NOT be returning because the shop should be compensating me and appreciating me as a valued customer. Businesses need to stop with the foolishness and we as customers need to speak up and not just turn the other cheek. My thoughts are this when it comes to business, EVERY business owner will have to takes a loss at some point. To keep one's business doors open and prosperous CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is the key. Yeah, I get you can't please every customer, ITS the GUUUD customers that are keys to your success. When you loose business due to an employee, dock that employee to keep that loyal customer. Loyal customers bring other customers (as I have) if business don't keep the loyal customers they do have, your taking steps backwards. It's MUCH cost effective to get rid of a bad employe/hit them in their pockets than to loose guaranteed money from repeat customers. Just like there's signs posted in a business establishment "We reserve the right to refuse service CUSTOMERS HAVE THE RIGHT NOT TO DUE BUSINESS WITH YOU ANYMORE. We got to hit these GREEDY BUSINESS OWNERS in the pockets! read more

My mom and I went to Rumors and were able to get in without an appointment and no wait. I was getting my acrylic nails removed and getting a gel manicure, my mom got a gel pedicure. My service was quick and easy and she did a good job. My mom said the pedicure was a little rough, and she was not exactly comfortable throughout. But overall she said it was okay. The prices are a little higher than I would expect for a smaller salon. I would go back for a simple service, but if you're going to splurge you may consider a different salon. read more

Update: my polish is lifting and chipping after only 8 days :)))))))))) yay. I got my manicure done, and while I was choosing my color they kept pressuring me telling me that shellac would be better color and last longer. I obliged. During the mani I told them I didn't like how transparent it looked, I don't know if there was a language barrier. But I was kind of shrugged off. Whatever. When I was done with my service the lady at the front desk was asking me how everything was, I gave her my gripe to which she replied "you picked it" and I told her how I usually go with regular polish and she told me "well they're different so", she couldn't give me the decency of even talking to me with her undivided attention--why would you ask if you don't actually want to help find a resolution? I typed in the wrong tip and you bet she was willing to fix that!!! I left and they didn't give me my receipt, had to come back. Only then did they offer to fix my nails but I have to go to work, and the offer only stood today. Lol. There's many ways this could've been resolved but y'know, now I know better. I'm pretty sure I officially found my new nail spot. Everything was perfect. The staff was amazing. Alex did my full jelly set and he took his time making sure even the placement of the tip was perfect. He is also very friendly, but respects if you prefer staying quiet. They also have several pedicure chair and lots of colors and designs to choose from. Oh and let's not forget the full bar! I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

AMAZING IS AN ABSOLUTE UNDERSTATEMENT! Ky and bee were amazing. They took care of my wife and even stayed over time to do everything exactly how she wanted! Place closed at 7:30 and we stayed till 10 and they made sure we were taken careful! We just moved to the area and I would recommend this place to any one and everyone!! My wife got a full set and her feet done and she loved it. The vibe in the place was great. Felt extremely homey. She is extremely pleased with the outcome ! They do offer a coupon for new customers which is a plus. The shop is very nice located in a strip mall area so the parking can be a little hectic. They do charge by the length price wise they are a little higher than other place I have been. Nice bar area and the offer you a drink when you come in. Lots of pedicures stations. Front desk was nice, if you are one that like designs make sure you ask for the cost. read more

I came here tonight to try out a salon since it had been awhile since I've been to one. first impressions were horrible as soon as I walked in to talk to the lady sitting up front she had an attitude then completely ignored me to greet her friend who had just walked through the door. the lady doing my nails was in no better mood and kept trying to give me a service I didn't want and completely disregarding my requests, there were several times I had to tell her to stay on track with the service I asked. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a nail salon and certainly wouldn't recommend this one at all. ridiculous. read more

After months of looking for "my salon" in Katy, I FINALLY found it! My dip wasn't too thick and - I was too busy to come in for a while, but my nails lasted for FOUR WEEKS! No breaks, and this is a huge thing, let's see if I can explain it correctly- the dip didn't "lift", after a couple weeks- at other salons my nails either broke or "lifted", where when I ran my hands through my hair the hair gets caught- this doesn't happen when you go to Rumors, even 4 weeks later!! Cute bar when you walk in, they have a cute private pedi room if the occasion arises, great hours (stay open late enough that I can go in after work and not be "that person" coming in moments before close. Very disappointing in their pricing practices. Nail techs basically make up a price in their head. I went on April 22 and got a full set ($45) plus designs ($20) and short almond shape ($5) for a total of $70. 19 DAYS LATER, i needed a refill and was charged $50. I wanted a completely different cute style like the one I had prior and was told 3 different prices ranging from $55-$65 in a span of 5 minutes from the male nail tech. FOR A REFILL! I ended up telling him to just give me a refill and paint my nails white. $50. Unacceptable. Then, waited about 15 minutes at the end because their card machine was down and they wanted me to Zelle the money. Smh. I will NEVER be back. read more

Very hit or miss. First time I came I enjoyed it. I've yet to get what I've asked for since. Either the nail techs aren't capable or they don't offer it. The host is nice nasty. The pedicures aren't as relaxing as I'm used to as they use these weak bubble making hoses. Leg/foot massages are sub par. They tend to be stingy with the color selection which is average. All in all I'm not super impressed by it so I'm still dating nail salons. read more

The owner asked the nail tech if my price was good for my full set hands and feet she said yes that's fine it was $124 I was about to leave a 20$ til but the owner than tells me it's $154 now and I left a cheaper tip but I won't go here again the owner is greedy and that's not okay the nail tech on the other hand lovely lady the taking advantage of ppl she kindly asked me to bring ppl in and I have in the past but I won't be a return customer was going here for 2 yrs to be treated like that so I'll be getting my services else where I left mad so yes I have the right to share my experience and opinion read more

Nicole is the esthetician who runs her business inside of the Reserve Salon & Spa, which is what you will find when you pull up the address in google maps. This business is within the Towne Lake Shopping center square and Cypress Wax Spa is located on the second floor in Room # 4. There is a very friendly receptionist when you enter from the 2nd floor, and numbers are posted outside of the Rooms/Suites. I was 10 minutes late because it was a bit unclear where the actual spa was located , but it was not a stressful experience because everyone was so friendly and helpful. Anyway, the entire experience was better than I actually anticipated. Nicole's station is immaculate, organized, and clean, and she is clearly well educated in her field, utilizing first class products. It was the most painless experience I've ever had, and she employs a plethora of organic and natural oils throughout the entire process. For my wax she did a quick refresh over my bikini area using jasmine cleansers and lavender oils, and then she communicated ingredients in what she was using when as she applied the product. She used both soft and hard wax, and walked me through her process every step of the way. What I really appreciated was her telling me when I would expect a more intense sensation during the waxing and when to breathe out since it had been a while due to being traumatized a few months back. She was consistently gentle in her approach and skill. Her communication skills were excellent. She did upsell me during my wax, but her pricing is extremely reasonable and the results are amazing. I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes when your esthetician is well versed in her craft and takes true pleasure in educating her clientele during the process. I was in the hands of a true professional, and I even went in for letting her use a high-frequency tool post waxing to reduce the breakout in a few spots caused by an ingrown hairs. Bottom line: Nicole knows what she's doing. She is a highly emotionally intelligent professional, she reads her customers body language ,and is not there to herd people in and out. She is fully focused on you from start to finish, and I will be returning soon.

Girl let's be so for real! What do you mean I didn't like that! Why would you even mention anyways body weight?? Or let alone tell a woman about her own body? I just find it outrageous that Nadia mentioned body weight or my body in general! That is super weird behavior!! Unprofessional and inappropriate behavior for older women! Honestly guys do what you want but I will never ever be coming back to this place at all. Nadia please learn when to speak and how to talk to people because your social skills are horrible. And she is super MID at doing eyebrows like she may do them once or twice pretty good but she is bound to mess your eyebrows up. Anyways guys take my words with a grain of salt!
