So instead of giving up and moving to the jungle I decided to try hard wax. Enter European Wax Center, now to be honest I was out off by my first call, as the lady who answered the phone was.... Just short of ride and didn't seem to want to understand what I was asking for. I did find out that she was at a "central" booking location. So I just walked into the location I wanted and asked for a full body wax, the young lady at the counter, sorry forgot your name lovely lady, was so sweet and helpful and worked very hard to get me the services I would "settle" for. Which was full back and full Brazilian. And although I did have to wait a couple of hours I was very happy they could accommodate me on a Sunday! So while I waited I booked the rest of what I needed done. My Esthetician was Jasmin (sp?) and she was a pro from start to finish! I'm not sure how long she been waxing, but her level of skill says eons! She went over every section THREE times to make sure no hair was left behind and I left out of there silky smooth. The next day was exactly the same! From the moment you walk in you feel relaxed with good music playing, receptionists that great you with real smiles and cool A/C going, and in 100+degree temps that's heaven sent! The salon and waxing rooms are so clean I almost couldn't believe they actually waxed in them! I whole heartedly recommend you give them a try if you're looking to getting silky smooth for the first time or if you're looking for a new salon.

Nicole is the esthetician who runs her business inside of the Reserve Salon & Spa, which is what you will find when you pull up the address in google maps. This business is within the Towne Lake Shopping center square and Cypress Wax Spa is located on the second floor in Room # 4. There is a very friendly receptionist when you enter from the 2nd floor, and numbers are posted outside of the Rooms/Suites. I was 10 minutes late because it was a bit unclear where the actual spa was located , but it was not a stressful experience because everyone was so friendly and helpful. Anyway, the entire experience was better than I actually anticipated. Nicole's station is immaculate, organized, and clean, and she is clearly well educated in her field, utilizing first class products. It was the most painless experience I've ever had, and she employs a plethora of organic and natural oils throughout the entire process. For my wax she did a quick refresh over my bikini area using jasmine cleansers and lavender oils, and then she communicated ingredients in what she was using when as she applied the product. She used both soft and hard wax, and walked me through her process every step of the way. What I really appreciated was her telling me when I would expect a more intense sensation during the waxing and when to breathe out since it had been a while due to being traumatized a few months back. She was consistently gentle in her approach and skill. Her communication skills were excellent. She did upsell me during my wax, but her pricing is extremely reasonable and the results are amazing. I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes when your esthetician is well versed in her craft and takes true pleasure in educating her clientele during the process. I was in the hands of a true professional, and I even went in for letting her use a high-frequency tool post waxing to reduce the breakout in a few spots caused by an ingrown hairs. Bottom line: Nicole knows what she's doing. She is a highly emotionally intelligent professional, she reads her customers body language ,and is not there to herd people in and out. She is fully focused on you from start to finish, and I will be returning soon.

Then, the owner came to me confused because she said she "did not use ClassPass anymore" and she has tried to cancel it since February but has not heard from the rep since then and has had others book through ClassPass as well. As an owner you are responsible for making sure your business is represented correctly. If this is an issue since February, I'm not sure how I was able to book in December. She did not apologize for the inconvenience and also did not care to provide some sort of discount as I took the time to drive up there. Also, she was not even able to help me with getting my refund through ClassPass because she had a customer and said she would call me back today. I have yet to receive a phone call...

I had such an amazing experience with Hillary today!…read more I got a Brazilian sugar wax, and from the moment I met her, she made me feel SO comfortable. I hadn't gotten a Brazilian since moving to Houston from Boston, so it had definitely been a while, but Hillary immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly light-handed, communicative throughout the entire process, and genuinely so good at what she does. I also really appreciated how educational and informative she was. She walked me through proper aftercare and made sure I understood how to care for my skin after sugaring, which made the entire experience even better. But honestly, what stood out most was how comfortable I felt around her. It genuinely felt like I was hanging out with a friend I'd known forever just girl talking and laughing while she did her thing. There was never an awkward or uncomfortable moment. The facility is also very clean and everyone was very nice and friendly. If I could give Hillary 10 stars, I absolutely would! She's professional, knowledgeable, gentle, and just has such a welcoming energy. Hands down recommend her, especially if you're nervous, haven't had a Brazilian in a while, or simply want someone who makes the experience feel easy and comfortable. I will definitely be back and rebooking with Hillary.

My 9:00 a.m. appointment was confirmed, but when I arrived, the salon was closed. I called and waited in my car, but no one ever showed up or reached out. While I understand scheduling issues can occur, a simple call, text, or email would have been greatly appreciated--especially since I drove from the Galleria area. It's unprofessional for a business to not be open during their advertised hours, regardless of whether clients have appointments. At 9:17 a.m., I was finally able to reach someone who informed me that the manager had been trying to contact me for two days because there were no trainees available for the time slots they themselves posted on the booking site. I checked my account just last night, and the appointment was still confirmed. No one ever attempted to contact me or cancel the booking. This experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing coming from Sugaring NYC. I had recently canceled my membership with Hello Sugar and was considering returning as a client, but this experience only confirms I made the right decision to leave in the first place.
