Everything went amazing, per usual!…read more I have been seeing Marina for a decade! She deserves the 5 star rating she has on Yelp! I was in yelp elite for a while (six years, I believe), but then got lazy on writing reviews. Sorry Yelp! However, my personal Yelp laziness aside, Marina is an extremely qualified nurse practitioner and knowledgeable on every procedure she offers. Her hobby literally is going to trainings. She LOVES what she does and this (working on faces) is her modality of art. She is truly GIFTED! Marina is an adept professional. She is completely transparent regarding what a procedure can and cannot do for you. As well as what she charges (it's all listed on her website: https://www.marinasoasis.com). I'm turning 52 next month and have included a couple recent pics taken 5/26/26 because I look better now than a decade ago. The selfie was taken in Vegas during BTS's "Arirang: The City Las Vegas" event. If you are interested in perfect aesthetics execution while talking about BTS, k-dramas and the best Chinese restaurant in the area, go to Marina...oh, she also knows which bakeries sell mooncakes year round, Marina should be your "go-to" provider. I absolutely trust Marina. I've tried to push her to turn up the ResurFX laser and she said "no, because i don't want to burn you or bring out any hyperpigmentation". She cares about her patients and is conservative when it comes to treatments. Like for botox and filler, you can always get more later. Dissolving filler hurts WAY more than getting it. I know this from first hand experience when my filler migrated a little above my upper lip line - very common since we move our mouths a lot every day. Her injection technique (usually by cannula, so I never get bruising) is flawless. Ive never had bumps in my lips like I've heard other people complaining about from other providers, i generally look great leaving her office and basically never get bruising, even though I hear it's very common. She also will warn me of anything that may cause hyperpigmentation since I'm Asian and have an olive skin tone. I love that she is completely aware of what will cause hyperpigmentation in skin of all ethnicities. This reminds me, I need to book a botox and ResurFX laser appointment with her...lol Truly amazing woman, tons of knowledge about everything, She is the best Master Injector and Aesthetics Provider that i have ever met and had the pleasure of her work done on me. Thank you so much for all your hard work, Marina. Im never going to go anywhere else. I would be stupid if I did.. lol I look better now than 10 years ago, all thanks to you!

As a lesbian interracial couple (I am white, my partner is Asian), the exclusionary behavior felt deeply biased and unacceptable. My partner did not feel safe, respected, or welcomed here. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this business to people of color. Or anyone for that matter.

She has truly transformed my skin! I've had facials, and a couple of different types of chemical peels and my fav MIRAPEELS. Paulette is not only highly skilled but also incredibly knowledgeable about skincare. She took the time to assess my skin's specific needs and customize the treatment accordingly. She started me with gentle peels and worked me up to advanced peels which have TRANSFORMED my skin. I consistently get compliments on the texture of my skin and I tell everyone it's because of the peels! Every time I come in to get a treatment I feel relaxed and at ease. Paulette is so welcoming and kind. She also recommends products but I never feel pressured to buy anything or like I'm being upsold. Getting all the treatments has been the best "skinvestment" I've made thus far. Tranquility spa is located in La cañada right off foothill, it's on the corner of Commonwealth. The parking lot is actually off of Commonwealth. Easy and free parking makes visiting super convenient and stress-free. Also scheduling with her is super easy. I either pre-schedule after an appointment or text her. What sets Paulette apart is her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring her clients' comfort and satisfaction. I highly recommend Paulette to anyone seeking a top-notch aesthetician for facials and chemical peels. Her expertise and personalized approach make her a true gem in the world of skincare. I originally came in looking for a HydraFacial, but what I received was a next-level spa treatment that was absolutely worth it. Kathy was amazing. She made me feel comfortable immediately, answered all my questions, and had such a calm and friendly demeanor. The session began with a detailed skin analysis to identify pigmentation, sensitivity, and other areas of concern. From there, she took me through several stages of cleansing, steam, treatments, and extractions. I had a stubborn clogged spot under my skin that had been there for almost three months, and Kathy was finally able to extract it. Four days later, the area is completely healed and the mark is barely visible. She followed the extraction with a tea tree gel to help cleanse and soothe the area, along with other products that left my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. The entire hour was incredibly relaxing. Between the music, the rainy Pasadena weather, and Kathy's technique, I even warned her that I might start snoring because I was beginning to fall asleep. I enjoyed the experience so much that I purchased a five-session package before leaving. Their promotion also included two products used during the facial--a pumpkin mask and tea tree gel--which was a great bonus. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I'm already looking forward to my next session in three weeks.

It even smelled amazing. Even the bathroom felt luxe and thoughtful, which says a lot about the care they put into the space. My esthetician was wonderful. The whole experience felt pampering and soothing, even the extractions (yes, you read that right!). My one teeny tiny wish is that I would have loved more explanation as she went along about the products and steps being used. I would have happily splurged on skincare to take home if I had known what was on my face. That said, my skin was absolutely glowing when I left. It felt refreshed, hydrated, and just happy. Dehydration is usually my main issue, and this facial hit the reset button. Other little details I appreciated were the super convenient parking structure across the street. That's always a plus especially in Old Town Pasadena. Bottom line: if you are into self-care and skincare, this is your spot. I will definitely be back for another facial, maybe even to try a different treatment next time.

I felt so self-conscious... all I wanted to do was hide my face with a baseball cap and cover it up with makeup. She was my last hope cause I felt like I had done everything from trying different products to seeing a previous esthetician before her (she wasn't as helpful). So I had just about had it with my skin and I was starting to believe that I was just going to have to deal with my skin as is... Until I saw Fatima, she gave me advice on what products would best benefit my skin type and was helpful every step of the way! She texted me products that were within my price range and even gave me some health and diet tips to help balance out my skin. I immediately made a trip to Sephora to buy the products that she recommended me and I'm not even lying guys... within a WEEK my skin was looking and feeling so much better. It just made me realize I was using all the wrong products for myself and not being as conscious as to what I was putting into my body through food. To this day she constantly checks up on me and asks how my skin is doing and if I need any new products. She's the best and cares about ever single one of clients. If you have a chance definitely check her out! She made me feel comfortable about being in my own skin again, and if you guys have dealt with acne then you know there's no better feeling than gaining that confidence back Pictures are about a week apart!
