I decided to book an appointment at Sumi Lash in Pasadena due to its close proximity to my house. To be honest, I was a bit nervous after reading all the negative reviews. Everything from how the lashes were not long lasting to how their eyes burned during the application process made me wanted to cancel my appointment, but I really needed to get my lashes done for the weekend so the desperate side of me decided to stick to it. I had initially made my appointment with a tech by the name of Cindy for 9:30am, but then I received a text notification that my appointment was updated to 10:00am with Tina. The day before the appointment, I received another text from Sumi asking if I would be able to come in at 10:15am instead, which I was okay with. I am very familiar with the area so I found the place and parking without any issues. I arrived on time and only waited about 5 minutes for Tina. The check in process is all the same for all Sumi locations - check in on an ipad with your phone number. Tina was very friendly, and went over styles with me. There was some burning from the glue but it wasn't too unbearable. I was done in about an hour for a full set of Volume Wispy lashes. The total including tips cost me about $160+. The verdict: I was VERY happy with how my lashes came out. It's been two weeks and I still have the full set of lashes. I am glad I did not back out of my appointment after reading some of the negative reviews, and I do plan on scheduling my next appointment soon for a fill.

I specifically asked for a natural look and she absolutely nailed it! They're soft, pretty, and not overdone at all. Easily the best lash extensions I've gotten. A friendly host, we chatted a bit, but honestly her vibe was so peaceful you didn't even want to ruin the moment, her silence was peaceful enough. I sat in the middle row so I had views of outside just taking in the city and the scenery, amazing vibes. I would highly recommend trying this place out. Book with "yuki" if you can , to be quite frank everyone in there salon looks they do amazing work. Like any nail technician you get paired with with get the job done. Give it a 5 star . I went on Tuesday, March 25th, to get eyelashes applied. Honestly, I had a bad experience with them. It's not my first time, but I've had this experience twice before. I arrived, and they didn't offer me any services. They just told me it would be $80. The first time they offered me too many services, so I decided to go again. The first time I got them, I didn't have any problems with the lashes, they even lasted too long. The second time, on the third day, I already had half of my eyelashes because almost all of them had disappeared. I called so they could give me a solution and they told me that due to their policy they can only help you until the third day. I told them that I was only on the third day. They told me that I had to pay again and I told them no because paying again knowing that I was within the days that they could fix it seemed a little unfair to me, to be honest, but I still came back because I gave them hope again, but I regret it so much, to be honest. read more

Wanted to try a new lash place so gave Mini Beauty Eyelash a try. There were also a few other things I didn't like about how the tech did my lashes so at first, I was just going to decide to not go back here and not write a review, but when the lashes started falling out, I felt so bad for my natural lashes that I can't help but write this review, so here's what happened. The appointment was reserved for an hour and a half, but she told me she was done within 45 minutes. This is strange to me because other lash techs have told me I have more lashes than a regular person so it normally takes the whole time and even then, they don't usually cover each lash. It also hurt more than usual. She was pulling on my lashes quite a bit, but again I didn't complain. After a few days, the lashes started falling off taking a bunch of my natural lashes along with it. Attached is a picture of the lash CLUMPS that fell off my eyes. If you can tell, there's about ten of my natural lashes that fell off with a bunch of fake lashes and they were all glued together. I have never had this issue anywhere else. Please don't go here. They rush their appointments and don't care about your natural lashes. At the end of the day, you'd be lucky to have any lashes left.

Be prepared to wait about 15-30 minutes past your appointment time, as the lash tech (Elaine) is usually finishing up with another client. She was sweet, and the overall vibe was calming. I even fell asleep during sessions thanks to the soft instrumental music. However, the lashes themselves were just okay. At all three appointments, my eyes burned during and after the application, and I had to use a fan every time to relieve the discomfort. The classic sets I got during the first two visits had poor retention. Maybe it's because they're classics. I experienced daily fallout, which was annoying as stray lashes would poke my eyes. The third time, I tried a volume set and they were gone by day 25, which I'm not complaining. The style looked bulky, black, and unnatural, but slowly started looking like classic with fallout (which was also itchy/poking me). I made sure to clean and fan-dry my lashes every other day. Also, keep in mind that switching styles doesn't come with any kind of pricing adjustment. She did check how many weeks had passed since my last visit, so I thought there might be a slight discount but nope. Overall, the lashes are cute, but I wouldn't return.
