Breakfast platter
Benny A.

The place is small and cute and located in a small shopping center. The waitress was very attentive and always made sure our drinks are filled. The portions of this place is huge! I only wished they had their seasonal items placed on a separate menu or you would have to just look at the sign outside or on the chalkboard for it I would recommend this place as a go to breakfast place. They have regulars who go there often for a reason.

Great spot in Escondido for brunch.. decided to try this place out since they have what we were looking for as breakfast food.. this spot is located in the same plaza as big lots.. which is nice to walk off the food right after.. they have nice big size portions unlike some other breakfast place.. service was good

I got the country fried steak and eggs. They have this homemade salsa that's exceptional, it has a little bit of a kick.

They make the mimosas perfectly every time, I think cranberry is the best. I love when places are constantly checking to make sure we have everything we need. It's amazing to me that this place isn't busy all the time.

This is a great, no frills spot for breakfast or lunch! Nothing fancy, just good food and friendly service. I've been coming here since I was a child and have never been disappointed!

Country fried steak and French toast combo

Came for breakfast and food was great! Great customer service and attentive. I ordered the country fries steak and my daughter ordered the French toast combo and it was delish! Listening to oldies while we eat. Very homey feeling.

They offer a HAPPY HOUR from 2-5 pm and their food selection and drink selection is interesting, unique and delicious. The atmosphere of sitting up high on the 3rd floor is very nice. It is somewhat wind and sun protected and plenty big for accommodating large crowds. The manager was nice enough to allow individual checks for each of our 9 guests and we appreciated that. I ordered 2 delicious COCONUT MARGARITAS and chicken speared on wooden sticks with a peanut sauce under an ample bed of thin noodles. The drinks were $10 each and the appetizers ordering off their happy hour menu were also $10 each. Service was very good. Another added plus - parking is conveniently located on the 3rd floor - just drive up the ramp located behind the building and enter on upper floor. Fun to look and dream at all the new LEXUS cars on main floor too.

The plates we ordered were delicious. Most favorite dish was the Brie, mussels, and salad. Least favorite was the sweet noodles on the chicken skewers plate. Would always visit again for happy hour

There is a nice indoor/outdoor vibe as there are some really big glass garage type windows that open (or close). The service has always been very prompt and friendly. I keep going back to their pizza's as they are quite good. I also suggest checking the special of the day as they usually have some pretty cool ones. They also have beer! Quite a few to be honest and if you aren't sure they are great at helping you figure out what works for you. For good food served by nice people in a clean and modern environment, this is the place!

First off, Im 100% sure the owner here uses ChatGPT to answer all negative yelp reviews. Any business owner worth their weight is able to think for themselves and use their brain to answer unless they're completely illiterate or too incompetent to think of a good response. Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. But It is quiet...too quiet. The beer tender would constantly hangout at the handicap table talking to any co-worker with free time on their hands for a long time. Seems like a cushy job honestly. I'm assuming they would hold conversation with customers, but unfortunately There were no customers... its a ghost town, and i left thinking, "This place is creepy." I'll just pick up and eat the pizza at home next time. I'm waiting to see what generic CHATGPT response the owner gives me.

So, coming here for my wife's birthday for her favorite fare of rare steak seemed like a slam dunk. And yet, I'm left wondering if I either came on a bad day or this place has really fallen off in quality in the last few years. Let me start by saying that our server was fantastic. Sadly, I can't remember his name, but his attentiveness, demeanor, and knowledge base were truly the highlight of our time here. The restaurant itself is okay, a bit of a 60's to 70's vibe that just straddles that fine line between kitsch and tacky. It's small, cozy, with a good amount of lighting and comfortable seating. We were quickly seated and ordered without much issue. Our dinner started with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts w/Smoked Bacon. They were well cooked, nice and tender, while still having a decent chew to the char on the outside. The flavors are very sweet, with the honey and balsamic vinegar coming very forward, without the parmesan cheese adding some much needed saltiness. It was pretty good, though I believe it would have been better with added feta for more sour and salty notes instead. I had the Seared Scallops, a special for the day. The scallops themselves were small, probably each about a $0.50 coin in size, as opposed to something a bit bigger than a silver dollar you'd normally see served; but, there were a good four on the plate instead of a typical three to make up for it. They were a bit over cooked, making them dry and cracked in most places instead of having a smooth crusted sear. Still, they were seasoned well, with a nice white wine sauce that gave them a good overall flavor and a small spoonful of crab roe on each for some added texture. The real star on my plate, however, was the vegetable puree that had notes of chickpea and red pepper ... quite delicious. My lovely wife had the 12oz Prime Rib, an apparent Monday night staple at Bellamy's. She was initially worried that it would be too much, as she generally can only eat a small amount before getting full. But, when her plate hit the table, those worries evaporated as what she received was much closer to an 8oz portion. It looked nice and rare, a good amount of pink; however, there was no crust on the edges. No real seasoning on the outside, no salt or pepper, no Italian herb mix, nothing to give any real flavor other than that basic beef. We brought this up with our server who noted that a few other patrons had complained that the prime rib was too salty and the chef's solution was just to eliminate seasoning altogether. Chef's, don't do this, keep making Prime Rib properly. People, learn how Prime Rib is prepared and how to eat it. The bite I took of it was terrible, making me think of how boiled beef might taste in England. The Horseradish on the side was alright in taste, but had very little of the bite that you would normally expect to it. The carrots were undercooked, with no caramelizing to them. And the potato was pretty basic. All in all, a terrible birthday dinner. For dessert, we were given a slice of White Chocolate Cheesecake. It wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't bad. It could have been served better by being closer to room temperature. I will say that whoever is in charge of selecting or ordering their fruit needs a raise, because the blueberries and strawberries on the plate were utterly fantastic. In the end, a very subpar dinner from a place that I was very much expecting more from. It's especially difficult since there's not that many places in and around the area where you can get a really good steak. Apparently, Bellamy's can't be trusted with that either. And to be fair, it's not a bad place to have dinner. The food was okay in most ways, pretty good in others. It's just not anywhere near what a good restaurant should be considering the cost. Looking at the older reviews, it's apparent Bellamy's is not what it once was. Hopefully, it can find its way back there in the future.

It was busy during lunch but we were lucky and snagged a booth. The menu offers classic diner fare - all day breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. I can proudly say I have tried quite a few things on the menu already and have not been disappointed. I'd say at this point my brother and I have been here over 5 times. We even brought our parents here twice already. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. My brother and I have done breakfast, lunch and dinner at this point. The first item I tried was the Sun-Dried Tomato Rigatoni. This was so creamy and delicious (later found out you cam add another meat). Which my mom tried her first time around with Salmon. She said it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. From that first pasta, I tried the March Month Special, I got the chopped cheese with no cheese (lactose intolerant) but man did I devour it so fast!! There tater tots never miss btw ALWAYS crispy. The Grilled Chicken Sando, mannn was thay superr good too. Chicken was juicy and always love me some avocado. I told my brother I am going to make it a priority to try everything I cam here. Also, the presentation on the plates ESPECIALLY the Fresno 1/2 Chicken *chefs kiss* The service is NEVER misses. Soo attentive no matter the time of day. Tony's drinks are UH-MAY-ZING. We had Mckellen as our server and he was great. The biggest shoutout to James (the owner) seems like he knows how to create a phenomenal work environment and keeps his people happy. We've seen him walk around often and checking in. You can definitely see thay he cares. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you have the chance. Feliks and her family came in and were seated by the side door, next to the coffee and orange juice machines. Feliks said she was in a hurry and wanted to order at that moment, basically cutting in front of two other customers. First off.... Francine is one of the best servers in the place. Always greets with a smile and if you're a regular, you may be lucky enough for a little playful banter from her. Feliks didn't wait 20 minutes for coffee. She waited about 5 or 6 minutes tops. You asked about eggs. She asked how you'd like them and you never answered her. So, when she asked again, you got crabby and condescendingly said, "Scrambled" then asked for another server. There was nothing calm about your offensive behavior, wanting the entire check to be comped. You were the bully!! In fact, YOUR behavior made MY dining experience not so pleasurable, so, thanks for that. It's rare that Nima, the owner isn't there on a Sunday, but even restaurant owners have lives outside of work. Next time you're in a total hurry, try not going out to eat at a popular eatablishment on a Sunday beforehand.
