Don't waste your time going here for a simple inspection. Head over to Katy quick lube. I stopped here and told him I just need a simple inspection. I agreed to wait and had no problem doing so. The guy at the desk said they had multiple things going on and it would be a minute. He got with another guy and told him when he was caught he had an inspection to do. 20 minutes later I decided I need to go to a different location because I eventually had to go to work. I understood they were backed up, so no big deal, UNTIL I had to get my keys from the guy who I was waiting on to do my inspection. The guy blowing his leaf blower and sweeping inside was the guy who had more important things to do than tend to a customer. Once I got my keys and told him I was leaving, he was walking around talking to the other guys and apparently had nothing else to do. This is not just on him. You all need to step up and remember how important it is to prioritize when you have a customer waiting. I had my car serviced in my driveway for an oil change and windshield wiper blades replacement. The mobile mechanics cleared my dash to display the correct oil message when they had finished the job. When I got into car the next time, my speedometer was clearly off. As I got onto the Katy Freeway my speedometer was displaying 120mph although I was not passing a soul. I called Westside auto and Daniel answered the phone. He told me that when they changed the display they probably accidentally changed the speedometer from miles per hour to kilometers per hour. Voila-easy fix. I looked at my car's manual, figured out how to change it back and problem solved. I cannot thank him enough for helping me solve this problem, over the phone, with time and dollars signs that I thought I would incur evaporating. Thank you Daniel. read more

Well how to start, never really had big car issues in the last 10 years. But this time... my car completely shut down while driving. Got my car towed to Mikes due to the recommendation of my neighborhood Facebook page. There were a few but I listened to my gut and took it to a family owned instead of the dealer ship or a franchise shop. Brad helped me step by step - he called me with everything thing that he could or couldn't not find our and gave me options and pricing on the phone.... and then I got the bad news, timing belt went out.... and he told me it could possibly damage the engine and the cost would be A lot more for a new engine with a 10-15% that is DIDNT have any engine damage. He called me within 24 hours and let me know that no Damage to engine!!!! Got it fixed in 24 hrs. And they didn't charge me an arm and a leg. They are very honest and I will continue to take my car there for everything!!!! They will tell you want you need to fix and what you can wait on of you can't afford to get it all done at once. I went in to Mike's after going somewhere else in Katy that just didn't do the job right. The workers at mike's and mike himself are very friendly and will keep you updated on your car. They are not the kind of shop that sees a girl, clueless about cars walking in and think to up-charge, do the job half way, or add things to the list to make money. They were very reasonably priced and let me know exactly what needed to be done in a way I could understand before moving ahead with anything. Honest and reliable shop, who will try and save you money. Took my 2008 Honda in as AC was not working. This was my first time visiting the shop. I had already been to 2 other shops where I had been quoted close to $2,500 for the compressor and another minor part. The compressor was the most expensive item. Daniel attended to me, he suggested he replace the minor part first and see if that was what was affecting the compressor which would only cost $300. After replacing the part, AC was working fine and there was no need to replace compressor. it has been a week and I have had no issues with the car, thank you for saving me money and also doing a great job! read more
