Then on top of that, the mechanic who serviced his truck stole two of his really, nice metal tire caps. They say didn't couldn't find it. Of course, because your mechanic stole it! This place is a ripe off. They tried it get me to purchase their expensive tires first of all. When I refused to do that and I told no. They broke my sensor on my tire and tried it charge me $60.I told him there was nothing wrong with my sensor when I dropped it off and I'm not paying for another one. And that they are scamming people out of money when they don't purchase the more expensive tires. So long story short I ended up paying $45 for a sensor. After leaving I noticed my truck driver very shaky. So I went to a different discount tire shop. This one told me that they didn't balance my tires. Why in the hell would you not balance new tires when you just put them on. I will never go back. And the sad part of it is I used to go here for all of tires. They will no longer get my business. I arrived at Discount Tires on 9/17/25 after lunch. I had what I thought was a nail in my rear driver side tire. I was approached in the parking lot by a worker that I asked if he could come back to me in 10 minutes or so because I had unfortunately received and emergent call I could not ignore. He proceeded to scan my tires and i explained I realized they were getting to the point where they were needing replaced however, it would be about 2 weeks before I could come back and purchase 4 new tires. Understand, I have bought all of my tires from this location since 2012. I drive all over texas in my car for work and buy tires often. However, I explained to the man discretely (i thought) that I had an unexpected health issue and would not be able to purchase the full set of new tires yet. I stated, I respectfully request you just check this tire and i would get back to them asap to proceed with new tires. He refused, insisting I buy all new tires now! I stated I could not and had stopped at another discount tires earlier in the day during which they checked my tire/air and agreed it would be ok to simply fix the tire and delay the new set for a couple weeks. I finished my call and he did not come back so i went inside. Upon getting to the desk, he to tell me it was the company policy to only repair tires that were safe. I explained again, another location had already deemed my tire repairable. I was again told NO! He then walked away, now a manager comes in with my tire off of my car and he is attempting to tell me my tire was not repairable. I explained the other person told me it was. i then downloaded a diagram for was a tire repairable. Mine was (see pics). He laughed and said not if he says it is not, he pointed to a tread poster in the middle of the room. I explained my tread was close, but was not yet at or below that range. I also explained my tire had not lost any air. He then started raising an argumentative tone in front of aprox 6 other customers. I explained the debate was irrelevant because I simply had a health issue and could not afford 4 new tires right now. I then asked him nicely to put my tire back onto my car. He said he couldnt do that. I then more sturnly stated I didnt consent for him to take it off and he needed to put it back on so I could leave he again said no. I finally said loudly put the tire back on my car you have now lost a loyal customer. He then walked away. After a few minutes another worker came to the door and asked for me, he apologized stating "he is not explaining it right, the issue isn't the nail it is a whole other thing" I left and went to `firestone, on the way there my brake pad light came on stating there was now an issue that did not exist prior to this encounter. I regularly get my car serviced at the dealership and there has not been any issues! Upon arrival to firestone....they graciously pointed out it in FACT WAS NOT A NAIL IN MY TIRE, THERE WAS NO PUNCTURE, IT WAS SIMPLY A BROKEN NAIL TOP THAT HAD WEDGED INTO THE TIRE TREAD (IN BETWEEN) HE FLICKED IT OUT LAUGHING THAT IF THE DISCOUNT TIRE GUY HAD ACTUALLY CHECKED IT THERE WAS NO "SAFETY" ISSUE AND I SIMPLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REASSURED AND SENT ON MY WAY TO RETURN WHEN I WAS READY TO BUY THE TIRES! INTEGRITY TIRES IN RICHMOND WAS PROFESSIONAL, COMPASSIONATE, KIND, AND THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR MY TIRE CHECK! i AM NOW THERE FOREVER CLIENT! DISCOUNT TIRES ...TRAIN YOUR TEAM BETTER! I would buy tire from anywhere but here. Bought four new tires and asked them not to discard the old tires because they had very low miles on them and I would like to keep them. In the process of dismounting the tire the destroyed one of them by ripping the sidewall and they refused to take responsibility for the damage. Why make an appointment and arrive early but still have to wait for nearly 90 minutes. Online shows 1 appointment slot available every 15 min. But when I arrived I have to wait for 2 other appointments that were scheduled at the same time. Pointless to make an appointment. Not friendly or willing to work around schedule. Cinco ranch or Katy freeway location way more efficient and thoughtful. They don't triple book appointment times. read more

I came here a few weeks ago to buy a new tire. Customer service was excellent so I thought i was in a safe space where professionalism was important. However, i was very disappointed at what my daughter found when i went right next door to Walmart to pick up some stuff. She said "Dad, look at your license plate" So i did and what i found pissed me all the way tf off which is why I didn't come back and address it. We came here to buy one tire because of a roadside emergency but were told the wait would be 3 hours. I'm glad for them that they are doing so well but really believe that taking five minutes to pop a tire on a rim for a customer with a car stranded and on a jack should be doable. I booked my appointment online yesterday for 8:30 this morning - after booking I called to confirm How long it would take and they said about 30 min.... well we all know it usually takes forever for all things vehicles so I arrived at 8am, there was a cute sign with my name on it welcoming me... they came to my car with mask on and instructed me to the right bay... guided me in. Review is 2 fold. Got new tires for my truck with the help from Joe at Discount Tire Customer service. Unknowingly was directed to this location even though there were multiple DT closer to me. Had to wait a bit to get seen but all good as they were busy. Store did work quickly and had the tires on in a mater or an hour or two. The bad part is that Sam whom I am assuming is the manager would not offer price match against Mopar tire offer I had received even though I was advised they would. Tried talking to him about it and he would not even hear of it and just rambled on and on about certificates, etc which were not part of the discussion. So don't trust them to honor any price matching even if you are told they will and don't think speaking to the manager about it is going to do you any good. Work was great, management poor. Hard to say if I could recommend this store just because of management running it. But they are crazy busy so doubt they could care less. Where to start. DO NOT GO THERE. Terrible customer service from the store manager in Katy and corporate. On this day, I left my car for a general rotation. When returning, I walked out to my car with the technician to find severe damage to my car. When I went to speak with the store manager, he denied anything happened while the car was in their possession. He immediately went on the defense and didn't want to discuss any further. The jacks in the service bags are red and there was red paint all over the door. If you have ever been to a discount tire, almost everything there is red. I couldn't believe how unprofessional the manager acted and didn't want to resolve the issue. After realizing I wasn't going to leave, he filed a claim with the company. What a joke this became. After describing the situation to their insurance company and getting multiple estimates to fix the damage, they offered me a $500 check for being a loyal customer. I will NEVER buy tires from this company again and after this experience, none of my family and friends will be purchasing tires from them again. P!ss on them for handling the situation in this manner. I am not unreasonable and understand accidents happen but never would I think such a large reputable company would handle things this way. I bought these tires from them. 50K miles guarantee, while I only use them on 25K miles and they said can't fix the nail. Want to sell me tires. First, Brian, tried telling me that didn't have the cheaper tire. Until I made him turn his screen toward me. Then all of a sudden he says. My bad there it is. I had already confirmed with two prior stores they had this tire. He tied me he could not fix the nail hole in my back tire. Do to it previously being worked on and plugged. There were at least ten employees on duty, two vehicles being serviced, about four bays open and only about three of those employees actually doing anything. Had to come in here to get a tire replaced from a screw I ran over. It was on the sidewall so they couldn't patch and had to replace the whole tire. Glad I got the warranty on them. Of course it always seems to take 127 hours here, but in their defence, they work their butts off in the heat. They were only about 30 minutes shy of their ready time. Guess that's not too horrible. I only have 3 stars because they need more employees. This would get people in and out much quicker. read more

Horrendous service I have been a long time customer of discount but received the worst service ever at this Katy location. Dropped a tire with a screw in it for repair at 8:30a. Had the spare on car left to get repaired. Told service advisor I will pick up later I show up at 4:30p I car in bay and manager tells me he cannot put tire on a 45 minute wait. He can't put me in front of everybody mind you I was there at 8:30a well before any of these people. Worst part is it took us longer to discuss this than it would have to take the spare off and put repaired tire on. 5 lug nuts with an air gun 1 tire. But he insisted can't do it for 45 minutes. Had I gone to get air check they would have stopped and done that and taken longer. My family has spent thousands on tires at discount but I am done. I believe this was a manager. I went home put tire on with car jack and car lug wrench then put spare abs all tools back in the trunk in less than 8 minutes Service is gone. Especially if this is indeed the manager.
