I have to give a shout out to Mike's Smog Check on Indio Blvd!!! I got there just as they were opening for my appointment. The woman at the front was amazing. I was worried as to how long it would take. I had to be somewhere as at 9:30a and was afraid I would be late. The test took 10 minutes. I was in and out in approximately 20 minutes total from checking in and checking out. She was extremely friendly and I feel bad that I do not remember her name, but great service!!! I went to Mike's for a smog test on my truck. If the vehicle does not pass they don't charge. Can't get any better than that and their price is very fair. I got the test done without delay and it passed! I went to Mike's due to the other high ratings. It is the best Station and the owners are very kind. I've been to a number of smog shops over the years here in the valley... This one is by far the best and fastest experience I have had I am always offered a cold water and a cool place to sit and watch TV while they smog my vehicle. Not that it is needed, as Mike gets the job done in minutes. When I did have a car that needed attention he made it clear what my car likely needed. When I returned after making his suggested repairs the car passed, no problem. I won't go anywhere else. And his destruction derby vehicles are fun to check out as well in the parking lot! When I first arrived the technician gave me couple of suggestions since I had just fixed my service engine light and the computer was not done with running the diagnostics on the van. I took my mother's car in to Mike's to be smogged for DMV without an appointment. I found his shop easy to find with ample parking. I sat down in the waiting room while the car was seen. I met Mike and his staff and had a thoroughly wonderful conversation. After no more than ten minutes, I was told that the car was done - I was sorry that I had to leave! Great Service in the past times I've been there. Going again tomorrow for a smog check

I was looking for a Smog Check station and ran across Mike's, I read the reviews and saw it was a independent business so I gave it a try. Mike came out to greet me with a big smile when I pulled in. And right off he asked some very important questions, he was looking at my Jaguar XK and asked if the battery had been replaced lately and had the car been driven much afterwards. The battery had been replaced recently and had not been driven too much since. Mike said I may need to put on some miles before we should smog it but would check the computer and see how it looked. After he pugged in to the the computer he said we were good to go. My XK-beast passed with no problems. What I really liked was Mike was apparently knowledgeable as to the nuances of the computing system(s) of these high end cars and before immediately just testing the vehicle he wanted to make sure it had the best chance of passing and gave it the once-over before wasting my time and money. As far as price; I have paid less and I have paid more, Mike charges a fair price and I will be back. As far as the $20.00 no-pass fee that is mentioned in some reviews; it's less than half of the pass-price and after all he is putting in the time & work and in my opinion a guy that performs a service deserves to make a living. read more

I think i waited 5 minutes, maybe 10 and done! and they had a few other people in there too. this place is fast, cheaper than my last place in bermuda dunes. $55 bucks for my Camry, in and out in less than 10 minutes, cant beat that! read more

5 Stars for Mike's. Found through Google, called, spoke with the owner (Mike :o) who said he would beat any other pricing and could take me right away. On the way there my son and I must have passed 5-6 other smog places but much to his chagrin, we kept driving because Mike was so accommodating and nice to me on the phone. We were surprised, as we were on Indio Blvd. which is by and large NOT a beautiful part of town but walked into Mike's to see a very clean, tidy and new looking space. His wife was warm and welcoming, even offered us bottled water. We so were perfectly content watching a Bob Marley concert on their screen that when Mike popped his head in and said "You're all set", we had almost forgotten why we were there. I called on a Friday afternoon, made an appt for the next morning. We had the worst phone connection - and it dropped a few times - as I was calling again - Mike called me back - AMAZING!!! We dropped in at 3:45pm on Friday afternoon - pulled right up to the bay, handed my keys over to the technician - greeted & invited to go into the air conditioned office, asked if we wanted a bottle of water - talked with Mike about his family, summer weather - his Mom (who is the front desk lady?) came in with the paperwork, brought it to me to fill out.
