I went to get my GMC truck smogged at Mike's today. The technician told me that the K&N air filter system that was on the truck was no longer allowed (gotta love California!!) and I could not pass the inspection. Mike referred me to Darren at Desert Truck and Auto (salvage yard) where I was able to purchase the correct intake box. I parked and replaced it and went back for smog at Mike's, SUCCESS. After been messed around by 5 different shops on a Friday (all of which were 5 big companies) when all I needed was a simple smog check to renew my car registration these guys came to my rescue. I'm disabled and really had no clue what I was doing, but the staff here were kind respectful and got everything sorted within 15 minutes. I suffer from MS so being in the heat is dangerous. They offered me water and I sat in the cool aircon. I want to genuinely thank you guys and in future I will only come back here for smog checks and have told all my family to do tje same. I have nothing but high praise for these guys. Fast efficient honest and reliable. Incredibly hard to find in the automotive industry these days especially if you are female. Come here. Mike is the man! The wife and I both work 6-7 days/week and hardly ever get home before 5:00pm. We needed our car smogged and kept putting it off till the last minute. My wife called Mike after she got home the other day at 5:15 ( closing time is 5:00). Mike answered and my wife asked if she could make an appointment to bring it in first thing in the morning. My BF recommend Mikes Smog and I read the reviews before calling. We called and they said to come on down.
