Called this morning to make an appointment to get my little red car smogged. Friendly voice on the other side of the phone, said they weren't busy at the moment, so I scooted over to their place. Easy to find, lots a parking. Greeted at my car by the tech, handed him my reg. and off to the office I went. Good service, nice atmosphere. The tech even aired my tires. In and out in 20 minutes. Needed to find a smog test station close to Indio DMV. Checked yelp.. saw that Mikes had the highest amount of great reviews in this area. Put the address in my cellphone- mapquest looked for the sign with "Mikes Smog" on it. Family ran and owned. My 2009 Kia sportage passed with a 55 dollar fee and no added cost of well up! Very nice people. Thank you! read more

I went to get my GMC truck smogged at Mike's today. The technician told me that the K&N air filter system that was on the truck was no longer allowed (gotta love California!!) and I could not pass the inspection. Mike referred me to Darren at Desert Truck and Auto (salvage yard) where I was able to purchase the correct intake box. I parked and replaced it and went back for smog at Mike's, SUCCESS. Thank you to everyone at Mike's for your great customer service. read more

Mike's Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Indio, California

After been messed around by 5 different shops on a Friday (all of which were 5 big companies) when all I needed was a simple smog check to renew my car registration these guys came to my rescue. I'm disabled and really had no clue what I was doing, but the staff here were kind respectful and got everything sorted within 15 minutes. I suffer from MS so being in the heat is dangerous. They offered me water and I sat in the cool aircon. I want to genuinely thank you guys and in future I will only come back here for smog checks and have told all my family to do tje same. I have nothing but high praise for these guys. Fast efficient honest and reliable. Incredibly hard to find in the automotive industry these days especially if you are female. Come here. You won't regret it. I definitely didn't. Thank you again, my praise honestly doesn't do you guys justice. read more

After realizing that my registration was due in a few days and my husband was unable to take, I was clueless about where to go. My daughter recommended Mike's Smog Shop #2. I only have great things to say about them. I was greeted and helped right away. It was quick, reasonably priced, and close to home. Actual smog check was about 15 minutes, but stayed an extra 15 minutes chit chatting with the owners. Definitely recommend and will continue to go there. read more

Mike is the man! The wife and I both work 6-7 days/week and hardly ever get home before 5:00pm. We needed our car smogged and kept putting it off till the last minute. My wife called Mike after she got home the other day at 5:15 ( closing time is 5:00). Mike answered and my wife asked if she could make an appointment to bring it in first thing in the morning. Mike asked how far away we were from him and when she said 10 mins he told her to bring it over and took care of it all in no time at all. We are both very grateful for the great service with a smile, and wouldn't think of using anyone else for that service for now on. Thanks Mike! read more
