My son and I were on a cross country trip and halted for a night in Conway. The lady at the front desk in our hotel recommended Mike's. We had a great dinner - very tasty food, good ambiance and excellent service. They have good fish preparations. The portions were decent. Our favorite was the coconut shrimp read more

I came into town on business and found a gem. Had a salad with fresh greens, chicken, strawberries, blueberries, craisins, and candied pecans with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Was here at lunch, but I got a dinner sized salad. Great salad, friendly staff, and fast service! read more

Our meal started out good with two delicious appetizers: broiled shrimp and spinach dip. The entrees were a huge disappointment. I had the "pick 2" entree with pecan encrusted grouper and beef kabobs. Since I'd heard this place was known for having good seafood, I was shocked when my meal was served. The grouper was a flat piece of what looked to be prefab, frozen filet...not fresh at all....terrible. Never saw a piece of grouper that looked like this. It was unedible. The beef Kabobs were not very good either. The sweet potato and broccoli were good and that's all I ate. My dinner companion ordered a beef filet entree and took a few bites and left the rest. It speaks volumes when you order a steak and don't finish it and leave the leftovers. Super disappointed in this meal. read more

Lunch for two--$40, and that's without dessert.. The food wasn't very good. Brown 'n Serve rolls, meatloaf from who knows where, soup--small cup with murky broth and chicken squares, "Caesar salad"--romaine and cheese. The booth was way too dark--you couln't possibly read the menu. I was disappointed after researching restaurants in Conway at length; Mike's Placed appeared to be the most popular. Service was OK. read more

Always look forward to going here for lunch/dinner. The atmosphere is the best and a great local place in downtown Conway!

Food was good. However, appetizers, soup, & salad all arrived at the same time followed closely by the entrée. Not good. Made us feel hurried. A little too efficient for comfortable dining. read more

Will eat here everytime we are in town! Food delish from the spinach dip to the crabcakes to the shrimp pasta and the primerib. Yummy! Way too much food! Go hungry. Had to take half home. Prime rib was perfectly cooked. Us Texas folks are picky about our beef and this exceeded the mark on tender and perfectly cooked! Service super speedy and super sweet. Great quaint atmosphere. Loved the old building. Cheesecake desserts a little dry but no deal breaker here. read more

My favorite place in Conway, hands down! I havent ever had anything bad here. A bit of a splurge because it can be expensive, but worth every penny! read more

Quiet, comfortable, great service, delicious and reasonably priced! We had the Grouper and the Chicken le Tresor accompanied by glasses of wine and completed with Turtle Cheese cake and Bread pudding. The small loaves of bread were hot and tasty. One dessert was gratis for my companion's birthday. The portions were well matched to our appetites and the food was served hot. Our second time there as a couple and we look forward to our third visit in the near future. read more

Lunch sandwiches are fine, but overall the food here is mediocre. If you consider yourself much of a "foodie," this is not the place for you. read more

Best Fried Green Tomatoes, even better than my sisters'. Plenty of seating and parking. The atmosphere...all that beautiful wood and the service was excellent! We had the pasta and the sauce was sooooo delicious!! read more

I love Mike's. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing is amazing and I've loved everything I've tried. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's one of our favorite date night restaurants. read more

My husband and I visited Mike's Place for the first time on our 45th anniversary. The food, atmosphere and service were exceptional! We would definately go back next time we travel through the area. The seafood crepes were delicious and the key lime pie was the best I've tasted! read more

Mike's Place is a wonderful restaurant for a casual lunch or a special dinner, with kids or not. I've only had one dish not to my satisfaction which they comped right away and brought me another meal of my choice. And their Key Lime Pie and the Bread Pudding are both to die for!! read more

No restaurant is perfect but this one got 5 stars because it genuinely tries to be! The food is really yummy...we live in Conway and there are so many generic places to eat this is a nice change of pace. The shrimp and cheese fritters are awesome as an appetizer and we always do the create your own for the entree. We try and go here at least once every couple of weeks. Can be a little pricey but you are paying for a great atmosphere as well as a well-trained wait staff and really good food! read more

Awesome restaurant! Super friendly staff, wonderful owners. You will usually see Mike himself greeting guests and working in his classy and well run restaurant. And of course, the food is the best!!! We would not know what to do with out Mike's Place! read more

The food is decent but overpriced. DO NOT host a rehearsal dinner, party, or other event there, you will be sorry you did. I recently hosted an afternoon bridal shower at Mike's Place and absolutely would not recommend it to anyone after the experience I went through. After I had a horrible experience with one of his employee's who barked at my guests (including the bride), I called the next business day to explain what happened to the manager, expecting a sincere apology. The manager, Mike, was VERY rude to me as a customer, interrupted me several times, and told me that I should have just been grateful that they didn't charge me their standard $600 room fee (since it was a 2:30pm shower and the room wasn't going to be used anyway, we just ordered food and they waived the rental fee - but NO excuse to be rude to my guests!) I've told several friends who are looking for places in central Arkansas for rehearsal dinners to stay away from Mike's Place and will continue to do so. read more

I went with one other person about 12:30 pm on a Sunday. When we walked in we were ignored. After waiting for 5 minutes for someone to offer to seat us, another couple walked in the door. The host who came out of nowhere immediately rushed to greet them saying "party of two?" When I stepped forward with a puzzled look and said that we had been waiting a while, the guy said "oh, it doesn't matter. We can seat them or you". Strange statement and no apology or explanation for the wait. Once we were seated I found they only serve Pepsi products- yuck! We placed our order (appetizer, soup, salad). After a while the waiter brought us some rolls and butter, probably because he knew it was going to take a loooong time to get our order to us. We had no napkins or utensils to spread the butter on the rolls. Waiter never came by to ask or check on us. Finally after our order arrived (about 30 minutes) he realized we had no utensils. He brought our check later and disappeared again. We waited so long for him to come back we decided to walk up to the register and pay directly. Food was OK. Nothing special. Lack of organization and poor service will keep me from going back. read more
