This place is a good one to get food at for the most part if you ask me! They have so msny different choices when jt comes to the big menu. But speaking of big, I also mean big prices. The food itself is so delicious, but its just insanely overpriced. Another thing i dont like about it, is thst their quesadilla was DRIPPING with oil. me and my friends ordered out amd i got the quesadilla thinking it was gonna be quite yummy but it was so greasy and almost made me throw up. Sorry for the delay! I was able to get the baked stuffed haddock. Big mistake! It was massive. The stuffing was seafood and it was topped with a lobster bisque! The next meal was the lasagna. I asked and got a corner piece. It was so big I imagine a special oven just to bake the entire pan! On my last day I got the steak tip meal. Medium rare. Food is consistently good here. Pizza and chicken/broccoli/ziti being our go-tos. The cinnamon twists with icing are so good! Inside has nice decor and is clean. Spacious with lots of seating and a few TVs. Parking can be a bit tough if the spots out front are taken. Friendly & helpful staff. read more

$42 for 2 large pizza's is highway robbery. 3.49 a topping? My husband got pepperoni and the pepperoni were the size of a dime and were few and far between. What an insult to your patrons!! I wrote a not so flattering review awhile back on Mike's and had not ordered food from them in a few years but I saw that they had North Shore Roast Beef sandwiches on their menu so I figured I'd give them another chance ... what a HUGE mistake! I grew up on the North Shore so I am very familiar with NS RB sandwiches ... rare roast beef sliced thin piled high on an onion roll or bulky with American cheese and BBQ sauce. First, giving the order over the phone was a challenge as it was almost like they had no idea they had this on their menu but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped for the best! I picked up my order and took it home. Much to my surprise one of the sandwiches was not prepared the way I had requested and to make matters worse, the beef on all 3 sandwiches was well done and looked like shoe leather! Amazing environment! I had the steak and cheese and it's one of the best I've also had the fried haddock with a side of sweet potato fries. First bite of the haddock and I've had a lot between quality, quantity and presentation, I would say it was one of the best plates I've had in a while. they did not allow me and my friends to sit at the booths, we had to sit at the small uncomfortable table only because kids have behaved badly on that side so they won't let any kids sit there. we have sat there many upon many times and they just let a group of girl sit there because they "promised to be good" and then preceded to be loud and obnoxious and they did nothing. And also refused to allow anyone else to sit there for some reason. if you are a teenager, I would not recommend this facility. read more

I like Mike's. I will start by saying that. The food is good, and relatively consistent. Sometimes it's a miss. A few weeks ago, I placed a last minute catering order (11 AM for pickup at 4pm). We had a family emergency and I had to feed a lot of people. Ordered a tray of pasta, some cole slaw, and a salad. The food was really good - everyone loved it. But they sort of....gas lit me into thinking I never ordered the salad? When I spoke to them they confirmed everything, said they could definitely work with the time frame, and helped me adjust my order to something they could achieve in the short time span. They read back my order. A salad, a tray of pasta, and cole slaw. I got there at four, and they seem irritated with me. "Oh, the catering order". They give me the slaw and pasta. They say they are giving me a discount because they gave me a half size slaw because I didn't need the full size for the amount of people I was feeding. Suspiciously enough, I was refunded the price of the salad. I ask about the salad, and they get quietly awkward and defensive and say "you never ordered a salad tray". Like listen, I know it was a tall order, but it was pretty shady that they were trying to Salad Gaslight me. Also, don't appear pissed at my catering order, I just paid $150 for slaw and pasta. Just don't agree to accept the catering order if you can't fulfill it, and especially don't lie about it. That being said, the pasta and slaw was SOLID, a total hit. Would definitely order again, but felt pretty shady that they were rude and tried to lie about my order. read more

I was always a fan of Mike's pizza but the last couple of times I ordered I have been very disappointed. Things have gone down hill. The staff doesn't seem to be trained very well. When asked if the Chicken Salad was all white meat, they said "um well, It's chicken?" like they don't even know Chicken as white and dark meat. After asking if I could have Chicken Salad on a Ceasar Salad, I was told they don't have that?? I do understand staffing has been difficult to find these past couple of years, but it's ruining your business. Tonight I ordered delivery that took nearly an hour to get one Chicken Parm sub and a bag of chips. I was asked to spell my address. SOUTH DOUGLAS. I speak clearly and was a bit shocked they needed me to spell it, 2x even. I order and asked if it came with Provolone cheese and was told that's how it's made. When I got the sub, the bag was wet (which happens) but whomever put this sub together, opened the sub roll, laid the round chicken cutlet across both pieces of bread so it doesn't even fold. dumped some sauce on it, NO cheese was on it and wrapped it like an open faced sandwich. Hence the wet bag!!! AND I must say it didn't taste very well either. I've been a customer for almost 20 years and I'm not too confident to order from Mike's again. I wouldn't order pizza from anywhere in Rockland for a good while. When my former go-to joint in Weymouth randomly went out of business, I started ordering from the place across the street from Mike's. They were closed on a holiday (New Year's Eve I think) but Mike's was open, so I gave them a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Mike's isn't making that generic Greek house of pizza style that's so popular on the south shore. I'll only order from establishments that let you order online, Mike's checks that mark. They use foodtecsolutions.com for their online ordering, which is great. It's easy and convenient to use, and you get points for every dollar you spend. Whenever I go to pick up my order, it's always been ready and the staff seems to be friendly. I've never had any sass or attitude from the girls at the counter. Also, the interior design is pretty interesting and non-typical for a pizza joint. Going in there high as hell puts me in a good mood because of the decor and knowing that I'm about to crush a bomb pizza pie. The pizza. I really like the crust, it almost has a brick oven thing going on. I've never gotten anything here that I would consider to be greasy or gross. They're really killing it with their un-sauced pizzas. The Greek and the White Pizza, so excellent. Like most pizza joints, the bigger you go, the better...in my experience anyway. So I always order jumbo. They aren't kidding either. The jumbo is 1 dollar more than the XL across the street and it's significantly bigger. I actually held the boxes up to each other today. I ordered from both places over the same weekend. Mike's demolished the pizza I got from the other guys. Quality and bang for my buck, I'm probably gonna make this my go-to joint. Keep up the great work guys! read more

I recently ordered a steak and cheese with a side of Buffalo tenders. The tenders had zero seasoning and they didn't deliver my blue cheese I requested. I rarely write reviews due to a hectic life but Mike's deserves a quick time out to share our pleasant surprise - totally awesome pizza...more like North End style vs. tough tasteless sub-shop style. My parents have been ordering from Mike's for many years and often get the seafood platter so we ordered that recently and it was EXCELLENT. When they suggested Mike's for pizza I was skeptical (I am super critical when it comes to pizza - my first food love). When we opened the box, I thought the pizza might be under-baked but rather it was BAKED TO PERFECTION! The crust was crispy and delicate and tasty. We ordered a pepperoni and a Greek pizza. I am vegetarian so can only speak to the Greek pizza. It was OUTSTANDING - excellent cheese and Greek toppings. My carb-count was out the window as I consumed my third large slice :) Mike's deserves a full five stars on food quality and reviewers seem to agree. The less than 5-star comments seem to pertain to service. I understand the disappointment when the right food does not arrive when expected but let's remember the pressure restaurants are under to staff & train employees while also trying to keep up with rising food costs and safety protocols. I follow a Metrowest food Facebook group and the reports of staff turn-over/shortages are constant. Restaurants need feedback to address issues but they need empathy, too. Mike's will be one of my few go-to places when I visit my parents and I hope they are here for the many years to come! read more

I've had a few things off the menu at lunch time, mostly hot or cold sandwiches and pretty much everything I've had is (see above). The location itself is your typical pizza joint with plastic tables and not much else (although there are TVs to keep you entertained). So bonus points for consistency but I have to take points off for being (see above). All-in-all, if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, don't pass this place up. We ordered Mike's as we are trying to do our part in keeping our local businesses opened in these trying times. The driver called me when he got here and I told him that my son will come out and he could leave our order on the porch. My son went out and there were two rolls of toilet paper with our order. The driver was there so my son thanked him for the toilet paper, but told him that we didn't need any at this time and to give it to a family who does. It was alright. It was 9:30 at night the first day after we bought our new house that I stumbled in here, looking for hot sandwiches after we moved the first batch of things into our new home. This place looked popular, clean, and had a variety of things to try. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and the Italian. The pastrami was heated but for some reason the Italian was not, though I'd asked for both to be toasted. We were both ravenous, so they didn't last. They were alright. The new garlic knots they sold were pretty darn good. I could taste the garlic salt but they were greasy/buttery, and chewy (though just a smidge under cooked). I had to wait longer than normal because they thought there was more food coming than there was. Nope, had I ordered wings, my husband would've been a truly happy man. We'll be back to try other things on the menu, and to see if they can get those garlic knots done perfectly. read more
