I ordered a bunch of food for a small party, and all of it was great and worth saying a few words about. Onion rings at most places are disappointing. They come out limp and tasteless. But these onion rings are fantastic. They are thick cut, and I knew they were special when one of my friends immediately tried it and I could hear the distinct crunch of breaded food that's been fried perfectly. Their chicken tenders are amazing. A friend of mine once wisely said that you can tell a great chicken tender if it doesn't need any dipping sauce because it can stand on its own. My long-time go-to has been Chik-fil-A, but Gusto's tenders blow Chik out of the water. Who knew that was possible? The breading is perfect and so is the seasoning. And another way you can tell a great chicken tender is the "next day test," which is eating it cold the next day right out of the fridge. These tenders are spectacular. Their steak & cheese bomb sub and roast beef sub have the right ratio of meat-to-bread, and the taste is top-notch. Their pizza is very good. I'm a big lover of Neapolitan-style pizza, and this is more like a Greek-style crust, so I can't say it's the best I've ever had. But it's really good, and their red sauce is savory in a way that most places are lacking. What is also a must-try is their large calzone. I held my breath because I've tried so many of these around this area, and when a place serves a calzone that's enormous and almost the size of a large pizza, usually it's a bit dry. I ordered the chicken parm calzone, and the moment I opened the box's lid, the fluffiness and moistness of the calzone were evident. Also, they cut it in such a convenient way so that each piece is easy to lift up by hand and eat without a mess. And the taste? Superb!!! The stuff shells and meatball are also top-notch. There is something different about the ricotta cheese they use which I can't put my finger on, but it gives the dish an extra dimension that I haven't found at other places. And if the food isn't great enough, the people there are truly wonderful. In so many ways, this is old school at its best. They helped me carry the order to my car. What also deserves some mention is that this is the type of take-out place that we should all spend our money at because not only is the food really delicious and fresh, but the service is also great. You give them your credit card to swipe, and that's it. They don't expect a tip and do things like turn the POS terminal around to guilt you into giving a tip. They focus on putting out great quality food and being kind. It's an example that every restaurant and take-out place should emulate.

They lost a loyal customer. I placed an order for their 3 large cheese pizza special for $24.99 and 3 calzones (buffalo chicken, steak and cheese and meatball) I ordered it through Door Dash and was scheduled for 7pm pick up tonight. My son arrives at 650pm and store has no record of the order and claims their Door Dash has been down for 3 days lol. So, I get no food and store loses out on an $80 order and a customer. Not for nothing but I placed this order as a scheduled order on Sunday evening to have it picked up tonight because I was having a large crowd over and now I have no food to feed anyone thanks to Door Dash and Leonardo's and they can both go F themselves. I'll go back to Sea St and Capones for my takeout from now on ok e anywhere but here. No apologies no nothing they literally looked at my adult son like he was nuts because they had no record of an order placed 4 days ago even though I have the confirmation in my door dash app and an email confirmation. I went back with the wrong order and they made me a new one. The man came across the counter and said there was a difference of $4 plus change but he'll take $4 only. I said I'll just pay difference because I was hungry and just wanted to leave. He did apologize but felt he was a jerk and not a good business man. I will never go back there again. I started going to this restaurant when I was 17. It's been 30 years! I don't go every day but go once in a while. But still that's no excuse! Terrible experience, terrible service and terrible people!

I've seen some other reviews, and when they're not good, the owner jumps back, but he can jump back at me if he wants because I'm not coming back. Final thoughts ... if you thought that the staff didn't understood you, ask the person to repeat it back to you, to make sure they have your order correct? Because they're not gonna take responsibility for any mistakes that they make.
