YOU MUST EAT HERE! Georgio's came highly recommended to me from some locals, and WOW, it did not disappoint! The place is packed for lunch, and their expansive menu is almost overwhelming with all of the different options to choose from. The service here was relatively quick, especially for how busy it was, but the real highlight is of course the food itself. I ordered the pastrami with grilled onions and peppers. This sandwich was absolutely fantastic and hands down the best sandwich I've had in the area. It was piled high with pastrami, and the toasted bun was incredible. The only downside was the much needed post-lunch nap because I was so full! Between the terrible service and them treating you like they are being bothered by you the slow delivery time and the expensive prices just to get something you did not order it. It's a shame because it used to be a great place but now it is terrible. I don't know if it has new owners or what and I don't care. We get takeout here once a week. Solid pizza, great subs and spectacular roast beef. However the girls that work the phones do not listen. ONCE AGAIN my order was wrong. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with pickles onions and extra mayo. What I got was a plain sandwich with light mayo. These sandwiches are not cheap I'd like it made properly. I'm certainly not driving back on a Friday night for pickles and mayo. I don't know what the answer is. I guess open all the sandwiches at the restaurant and check? Georgio's has 30 people working there at any time. 30. Yet, they can't follow simple order directions. Simple. I even had them repeat the order back to me. It was not complicated. Two items, one request. Fail. For the 2nd time in a row (1st time they forgot to make an item and recently forgot to notify me the food was ready while I sat on my hands seeing countless customers come in and out with their orders), I waited and waited. While some of their food items are solid, they make it convincing to never return. It's the service (not the food) that rates a 1-star (I give them a .5 Star) and without service in the food business, it doesn't work. Always a favorite. Delicious food reasonable prices Had the steak tip sub with mushrooms and extra American cheese. Cooked perfectly. Steak tips were tender and not at all chewy this was my first time getting this and I was not disappointed I usually get the jr roast beef which is still too much for me to eat at one sitting but sooo good or I get the tuna, white tuna with just mayo, no celery. Third and last time I'll be disappointed with their sandwich's . We ordered takeout , a large italian and a large steak bomb. Steak bomb had no bomb! No mushrooms , no peppers just a few scattered onions. Not even cheese. The bread was wet and wife refused to eat it. Obviously not what we ordered (it was plain steak)but the girl on the phone seemed to be doing 4 things at once, and the place was loud, so no surprise she screwed up the order. My wife was very patient , I would of hung up after 5 minutes. 2 lousy subs ,not a hard order. The Italian sub was not any better. Incredibly plain and loaded with lettuce. I've been a loyal customer for about 12 years. Best roast beef and chicken kabobs south of Boston. John and his staff do a great job as well with catering orders. I've placed catering orders several times and each time the orders are generous and supplied with plenty of serving utensils and salad dressing. Pizza are well prepared with the right amount of sauce and cheese. Salads are a big hit and the onion rings are fantastic. I'm not even a BBQ chicken pizza kind of girl - only from Georgios! The BBQ sauce under the cheese is like no other. Good cheese, good meat, and great crust. It's worth the wait and the price. Just make sure to order ahead and give yourself time. Can't say I've ever had bad food from Georgios. I'd imagine the complaints over customer service have to be from the nightmare customers. I don't care where you live, if you like buffalo chicken calzones, you need to drive here and get this one. The dough is thick and tasty yet soft and overstuffed with deliciously fried buffalo chicken. It tastes and feels like an actual calzone rather than a large oversized pizza which I feel like a lot of calzones taste like. A size small is enormous and easily feeds 2, possibly 3 people.
