This was our first time trying runner pizza. Our party had heard good things about it and we decided to try it. Someone referred us to the business. We ordered a cheese pizza, egg and cheese sub and two BLTs. The pizza was very good. It was a good balance between thin and thick. It was slightly greasy. For the BLTs, the bread to filling ratio was very balanced. Everything was on point and the bacon was crisp. The egg and cheese was excellent. there was plenty of cheese, which was delicious and perfectly complementing the egg. overall, we had a great experience and we will be back. I've gotten many orders from Runners; they are typically good but often a few errors in what was ordered. This particular time, I arrived to pickup my on-line order. I was ignored for 10 minutes while the staff answered phone calls and then waited on someone AFTER I arrived; I know they get a lot of call in orders, but how about taking care of your in-person customers?I got home and there was something totally different from what I ordered. I immediately took it back and was treated unbelievably rudely BY THE OWNER! The owner blew off my complaint about how I had been treated when I arrived the first time, telling me I was wrong and EVERYBODY loves their food and their service. I was told that they could not arrange to have the refund put back on my card until Tuesday (hopefully). I agreed to cash refund and was told that the extra for what I had ordered for an additional 50 cents was in the amount being given back to me (It was NOT). Finally, the owner swore at me and dropped the money on the counter and walked away. As much as we have enjoyed the food from Runners (especially their salads), we will no longer be getting take-out food from them or recommending them to other people we know. read more

This place stored my credit card and weeks later charged an order to it. When I called and told them I never placed the order, the owner was incredibly rude telling me I must have given my card to someone and refused to correct their mistake. I told him I would have to report to my credit card company as fraud to which he said "do whatever you want, I don't need your business". Stay away! read more

While I have been going here for many months, I am disappointed to recently hear that the owners steal the employees tips and claim to "donate" them. This is an illegal practice. I almost always leave a tip, and I was never told that tips are being taken from hard working employees. I was later told this happens to their delivery workers as well. It doesn't matter if they are paid min. wage, the tips still belong to them. In many cases, workers rely on tips to make ends meet. This shop not only places a tip jar in front of the register, but they also have a place to tip on cards. I have never intended for my tip to go to anyone other than employees, not the owners, and not a manager. I will not return to this establishment so long as their practice of abusing employees continues. There is both a federal and state law that prevents employers from this practice of stealing tips. I hope an employee files a claim against them. read more

I came especially for the roast beef and was pretty disappointed. It was cooked nice but had a mealy texture that was very unappealing, not at all what I usually look for from roast beef. The sub roll was also way too soft and bready, similar to an oversized hot dog bun, not what I'd expect from a true New England roast beef sandwich. It could've just been a one-off, and maybe their roast beef is normally better, but I haven't wanted to go back and give them another try. First, let me just say, You will get really good food. They're subs are packed and they're pizzas are great. You will definitely not be complaining about not having enough food. What you may complain about is the customer service. Went in yesterday to pick up my online order. Girl at the counter with her back to me on her phone waiting for a pizza to come out of the oven. guy in the back sees me and asks her "is that guy all set" she nods her head without even turning around or at least looking up to see if someone was actually there. Must've been something really good on her phone. When she finally did turn around she was surprised to actually see me standing there. The 4 stars are for all of you cooking and making the food. We get runners a lot and so far everything has been great. The chicken lemon soup is so delicious and hot. When I was sick that's all I wanted with the homemade pita bread. Only complaint is sometimes it's a little too thick from the rice as I like it more broth. Tuna wrap is one my go to it's all white meat and not too much mayo. My husband loved the blt wrap which has plenty of crispy bacon. We got some sheet pizza that was perfect for a crowd. I have had the grilled chicken salad which has plenty of chicken but lacks flavor. All in all it's one of our favorite sub shops. Highly recommend for freshness and good portions read more

I really am sad to write this review. Runner Pizza opened about 2 months ago. In those 2 months, we have ordered delivery from them 4 times with no issues, and the food was delicious. Last night, I called for delivery. The woman who answered the phone read my address to me to confirm it (obviously it was in their computer system from previous deliveries. I confirmed the address, and she told me that they don't deliver to Brockton anymore. We are literally less than a mile from the Stoughton border, and they had delivered to us FOUR TIMES already. When I explained this to her, she put me on hold, came back on the line, and told me that "We'll do it, this time." I wanted to order a super roast beef sandwich. The sandwich alone is $9.45. The minimum amount for delivery is $10, according kto the paper menu that was sent out when they opened 2 months ago. I understand the minimum delivery thing, that's fine. So, she asked me if I wanted to add a drink or a bag of chips to my order. OK, so I added a small bag of chips. THEN, she put me on hold again, and came back on the line, and told me that the minimum order to deliver to Brockton (which she *just said* they don't do), is $20! I don't know what kind of math she was doing, asking me about a drink or chips, to get from under $10 for just the sandwich, to the $20 minimum that she had just told me about? Um, ok...I told her that I was looking at the paper menu, and it says it's a $10 minimum for delivery. She said "Oh, you're looking at the OLD menu." They have only been open for TWO MONTHS, and they have reprinted menus, and doubled the delivery minimum? Seriously? I told her that we had placed multiple orders from them, they obviously had our address, so when did they stop delivering to Brockton? She said, "Oh, it's been a while now." I checked my call log, our last order was placed on July 18th. On their online order site, it now says the minimum delivery amount is $15, and the delivery fee has changed from $2 to $3. And it allows me to order to Brockton. I asked to speak to the manager, and she told me that she *was* the manager, and "There's nothing I can do." It's really too bad, because we really liked the food, and we order delivery for dinner between 4-6 nights a week. They've lost a LOT of business from us, as we won't be calling them again. We just tried this last night. Got ziti and meatballs & a tuna pocket. Everything was DELICIOUS & fresh! The homemade pita was amazing, the tuna was spot on. The homemade ziti meal was flavorful. Wonderful service and food. The roast beef especially is delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Although the food is generally fair to good. Certain things are very good. However now that they have picked up business they lost all sense of customer service. On multiple occasions they were over 40 mins delivering food when they said 10 mins. Twice they forgot it was a delevery and this last time i was told they were busy and it was on its way. Hiwever they just left the food on the porch. No knock no call. When i went out to wait for them i found the food. They had sent me a text showing they left the food on the porch 30 mins before. It was hot food now soggy and gross. When i called to speak to someone i was pretty much told im too busy who cares. The driver doesnt have time to knock on everyones door. So even though i was a frequent customer i got who cares. Well with service and consideration like that they wont or shouldnt be too busy much longer. Customer service has to matter too. read more

This place is incredible!!! I've ordered many times and everything is delicious-except the chicken tenders. There's nothing special about them, but everything else.....DELICIOUS! My personal favorite is the hot Roast Beef sandwich. Finely cut, juicy medium-rare-ish. The pizza is wonderful, the lasagne, eggplant, meatballs.....you can't go wrong! Roast Beef was good - just like Murmacs! Cheeseburger Sub was good- lettuce and tomato were fresh, burger was nice. Steak Fries were good - havnt found a place in Stoughton with decent steak fries Pizza was good a little too much cheese but how could that be bad?
