I was escorted out to my table, and my drink order was taken. Going through the menu, I opted for a burger with fries. It was quite pleasant out, and waiting for my food was not a problem. The burger was quite good, and the fries were decent as well. The price point is a bit more than most of the sports bars out there, but the Tioga area tends to boost the cost of things a bit. It should really be in the other room off to the side. It takes up too much space and it's obnoxiously loud. 3. The menu: Again. It's a bar menu. Large selection of handhelds. Few limited mains. Some salads. There are appetizers but this is the weakest link on the menu. 4. I usually love their off menu drinks. But they were both lacking tonight. I even asked for more purée to boost the flavor. The problem was I couldn't taste the gin. Just seltzer. The issue I have when I go out to dinner I'm looking for a meal I won't make at home and although there is a huge chunk of the population that doesn't really care what they eat as long as they don't have to make it , I don't fall in that category. The menu is pretty standard for a diner style restaurant, with heavy emphasis in the morning for omelettes, then your usual burgers and other homestyle goodies in the afternoon and evening. I went for the Texas burger, asking for it to be cooked medium. What I got was more rare, bordering on blue. Not a good start. The fries that came with it were predictably SysCo style fries. No proof that they were actually provided by such, but they definitely had the style. Staff were friendly, and the seating at the bar was comfortable. Realistically, I don't see myself going back any time soon, unless a group of people invite me to go. It is a bit of a trek from Gainesville, so going specifically to eat there is not in the cards.
