I have given a preliminary review on Google so I'll make sure to update that. Easily five stars. I must've called 10 body shops or more willing to take out of pocket (surprisingly some don't?). Did googling and found Mike's. I had 3 quotes... all pretty steep for the work I needed done. Rock decided to skid across the hood and into my windshield. Now the windshield was elsewhere as I went to a specialist, but the painting and bodywork... the photos should speak for themselves. Looks factory new. I'm impressed. What drew me here is the service and craftsmanship. I was a customer and a person, not a number (seriously felt that way from competitors), but Mike introduced himself personally. He guaranteed his work. And the price was VERY competitive to the competition. The catch? There was none. Service, quality, customer service were amazing. Better than the service I get at my dealer (it's a lease) and they're very good to me for the business I rate on a number of factors, but above all was I treated well? Yes. Was the work quality? Definitely yes. Would I come back here for service (although I hope I don't have to)... absolutely yes. I will also say this review is not solicited nor do I get any compensation for posting this. Wow! First it started with the phone call. Great, peppy woman answered the phone and invited me down. The location is kind of tricky to get to, but just Google Map the address and you'll be fine. There are signs all over the place directing you. When I got there, I was greeted by the most friendly car mechanic type people that I've encountered in my life. The woman did my insurance inspection in less than 20 minutes and was prompt and professional. Mike - the owner - came by and was so friendly and sweet. My car was hit and I did not have much experience dealing with an auto body shop before. I was apprehensive on which auto body shop I could trust. I was lucky I found Mike's because immediately I felt my lack of trust go away. From the moment I went to Mike's I was taken care of and treated with the upmost respect. The customer service was top notch all the way. It was not just Mike, but the office manager, Melanie, was amazing as well. She took care of all of my paperwork and worked extremely hard to make sure I got what my car was worth since it was totaled. She went above and beyond by making sure the process was as hassle free as it could have been. She even made sure that the rental car provided was there at Mike's waiting for me when my car was dropped off. She even worked to make sure I could use the rental for a couple of more days than the insurance company initially agreed to. I was waiting for a dealership to get my new car ready since I had to purchase one in a short period of time and Melanie really came through. My family and I have been using Mike's Collision to fix our cars for years. Unfortunately in the past 6 months I was rear ended twice and the first time pretty bad. I was upset as you can imagine but Mike and his staff made this hard time easy for me! Everyone there is so knowadglable, helpful, professional and caring. The only thing I had to do was to inform my insurance company of the accidentb and drop off my car. Mike had my rent a car waiting and it was even personally cleaned by him! I received updates on the status of vehicle would and a date when it would be ready for pickup so I could plan ahead. They were right on the money! I couldn't believe how amazing my car looked; It was cleaner and shinier than the day I bought it! Every scratch that was on my car before was gone. The repairs to my car were fixed with perfection. Mike put on a new expection sticker for free and even gave me a car charger as a Thank you gift. The positive reviews are spot on. From the moment you walk into the office you feel welcomed and when you leave you feel informed. The work is stellar and they go the extra mile every time....I say "every time" because I've had to use them 3 times in 2 years. My cars were rear ended twice and hit while parked once. When I went to Mike's I had to do nothing but sign a form for the insurance company...and I'm super lazy so that's a good thing. The rental company picked me up and I dropped the rental back at Mike's when the car was ready. (side note to Enterprise...they were stellar too. In and out and they called to check on me to see if I was still happy with the rental.) The staff at Mike's is great too. Mike is very professional and clearly knows what he is doing.....the ladies in the office are courteous, knowledgeable and dare I say...easy on the eyes. Hey, you want an honest review or not?? Brought my car in, Mike estimated $3500-4500 to repair. I was told it was probably totaled, but they could negotiate with the appraiser to repair most of the damage and it would take about a month. After an hour of talking about their process, I started filling out their paperwork. Here is where I got concerned... they have this legal fee of $300 plus 20% off the top of the insurance appraisal. They explained that this pays for all the paperwork, negotiations with the appraisers, and the lawyer's fees, but this did not seem right to me - I have had work done at another shop in the past and I did not remember these fees. I put the process on hold at that point and shopped around to see how competing shops compared. What I found was upsetting. No other shop (besides Tom's, which is owned by the same family) thought the car was even close to being totaled, and the car could be fully repaired without any concerns of it being a total loss. I ended up having the work done at the Maaco in Framingham. They were friendly, did a great job, charged no special fee to negotiate with the appraiser (Mike's was going to charge ~$1000), repaired all of the damage for ~$2800 (Mike estimated $3500-$4500 and said some damage would remain!), and had it done in less than 2 weeks (Mike's told me it would take twice as long!). Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

I had a dent on a car door, one auto body place told me it was not a candidate for PDR and quoted me $1600 and a week and a half. Mike quoted me $200-$250 and said it would be done in 2 days. It looks perfect and he ended up charging me $225. I highly recommend him, he and his staff are friendly and he did an amazing job for the price. He knew I needed to get it done ASAP because it was a car I was borrowing and he did not use that to his advantage to charge me extra. Good business ethics and I would highly recommend. read more

During the last few years my family and I got our cars repaired and painted at Mike's Collision in Ashland MA and had no problems. However, this year I got my car repaired and painted and I must say that I was not satisfied with the painting at all. Seems to me that the painter got lazy or is lazy and did not bent down to cover some areas underneath the car. But that's not all! My family and I keep the car smoke free because we have kids and the car had cigarette odor! We used to trust this place but it seems to me that we should not do it anymore! read more

I made the mistake of bringing my car to Mike's Collision after reading some positive reviews. The girl who work in the office is very sweet and genuine which is what made me comfortable signing my insurance rights over to them. She also promised all my repairs would be taken care of when we both went over all the damage. When I went to pick up my car she wanted nothing to do with explaining why only half the damage was fixed. Mike held my car for over 8 weeks to haggle with my insurance company. When my insurance company gave in to all his demands he still didn't do the work. I had repairs that were left untouched and paint repair that he fixed with touch up paint! Scratches, dents, broken glass and emblems all left damaged and untouched but paid for. He removed the bumper to paint a door then damaged the connecting hooks so now my bumper sticks out. Thousands of dollars paid to them for specific repairs that were either hacked or not done at all. When I complained he told me he wasn't paid enough by my insurance company. Seriously? This shop is owned and operated by Tom's Auto Body in Ashland. Mike doesn't own it. When I went to talk to Tom he went from this nice little old man to real defensive and angry. I immediately called my insurance company and they were taken back by all the money they overpaid them for this work they didn't do. Then I was told by the appraiser that it doesn't surprise him. I told him I wish he would have warned me about this shop. He explained by law the insurance company can't steer you away from any particular shop, only suggest one of their guaranteed one's. I found out no insurance company will verify or guarantee the repair work of Mike's or Tom's because of constant problems and sleazy scams they pull including car rental claims from cars you never rented. If you get scammed by Tom and Mike you're on your own. read more

I can't tell the bumper was replaced - paint matches perfectly. My family has (unfortunately) needed his services 5 or 6 times in the last few years. We keep going back.
