Jerry (the owner/mechsnic) was very friendly, personable, and knowledgable. He was able to replace the pan underneath my car while I waited. He informed me that the Dealership did not replace hardware (a botched job) which resulted in the pan coming loose while I was driving on the highway. He replaced the hardware and secured the pan to the underbody of the car to make it more secure and his rates were more than resonable. I would highly recommend him. read more

So my 2006 minivan got sandwiched on Rte 9 and I'm happy to say everyone walked away from a 5 car mess! Witnesses reported that there were 2 other vehicles that caused the accident and left the scene. The police, tower and finally the insurance - said my van would be totaled out but these days it's hard to know so I wanted to do my fact finding and not have any 2nd thoughts or regrets. Many locals are members of the Frambor email list so based on high recommendations I called and brought it over for a 2nd opinion. Eric greeted me and was welcoming and friendly. He gave me wonderful advice within 5 mins and agreed that it should be totaled out and I should invest in a new van. Although he'd love my business he was honest. Based on his experience he warned that even if he were to fix the "look" there could be many hidden things that may not have been broken before that may be broken from the impact of the crash. Coming from someone who actually does the work on a daily basis vs. an adjuster behind a desk made me feel more comfortable in the decision to total it out. Eric also recommended Amica for auto and home coverage. He deals w many insurance companies and Amica is the fastest and has the best service, in his opinion. I'm going to check it out. The best, most affordable auto body place around. They are honest and reasonable, and if you're fixing something out-of-pocket, they will give some options for saving money. For instance, I was mere months away from a zero insurance step-point (for the first time in my 19 years of driving), so I didn't want to file a claim, when I hit a post with my new car. Instead of replacing the whole front bumper fascia, they were able to refinish the old one and find a way around using the broken clips, saving me a few hundred dollars. It's secure, and you can't tell unless it's pointed out, and both sides are compared. They are also quick, almost always in and out in under two days because they all work together on the same car. read more

The team at Decollibus worked with me to reduce the amount of money I would pay for repairs that weren't covered by insurance. Yes, you read that right! They advised me how to contact my insurance company to get money back that I needed to repair my car. They told me how the insurance company was weaseling out of paying me what it cost to repair my car because I had some pre-existing damage, that wasn't even on the area of the car that was damaged by the claim I had filed. And since, I had the good fortune (not so much) recently to have both my cars struck by other vehicles and damaged, they repaired, not one, but both of my vehicles. A defective grate, caused part of the undercarriage of my car to hang down. I took my Car to Mercedes Collision in Ashland. The "adjuster" who analyzed the outside of my car said that it would be a minimum of $1100, but " probably more" because they would have to put it on a lift when the insurance adjuster arrived. I took my car for a second opinion at DeCollibus Collision on 135 in Framingham, Mass. The total price for the "damage" was $47!!! Yes, I said forty seven dollars. The repair was done in 5 minutes. The Tow box ( plastic) was hanging down, and nothing else! The gentleman who performed the work was wonderful! read more

I took my car to Decollibus after I was in an accident that smushed the front end of my car. My car is at least 10 years old, it was my first (and only) car, and it's been with me through high school, college, and 3 jobs--so I have a lot of sentimental attachment to it! :) They were very proactive and helped us sort out some miscommunication with my insurance company (that had delayed the whole process) and when we finally got everything approved and the car to them, they turned it around in a matter of a couple days (instead of weeks like my insurance company estimated). I was so happy and relieved to drive my car again after having to drive a rental for almost 4 weeks. My son was rear ended while I was out of the country. My van was towed away by Ted's and locked in their lot for $35 a day until I came home and was able to retrieve it. I had it towed off to DeCollibus after speaking with them on the phone ( I had heard good reviews). They checked it over and told me honestly that they could fix the collision damage, but the undercarriage of my 16 year old van was in rough shape and not worth the repairs. They stored the van for me for FREE for several days until the insurance was sorted and the van could be hauled off.
