Tom's is a full service auto body shop, that goes above and beyond in customer service. They are cheerful, friendly and willing to help nice folks! Honestly the best example of customer service is that when I call anyone there, I never feel like I am bothering them! They assist you in navigating the maze of towing, accident report, claims, rentals, negotiating the claim, high quality repairs and impressive paint jobs. Tom is proud of his shop and the many workers behind the scene. We have had a tour of work in progress. Another example is their service to assist you filling out the accident report. I now go there with my police report or bring the details, they put the accident report together with drawings, and fax it to my insurance company. They make life simple and easy while you are still shook up! I have even driven in ( in the cab of a AAA tow truck) and left in a rental car with my accident report on the way ! That is customer service! Lastly, they request that your insurance company adjuster review the damage to your vehicle at their facility, with their staff. This eliminates estimates by photo. I have actually witnessed these photos, it is more of a drive-by shooting, the adjuster doesn't even get out of the car! Really, after all the money we pay for insurance, they want to send a check for repair based on a drive by photo? A fair estimate, looking at all underbody damage means full reimbursement and opens the door to getting the appropriate repair work to restore your car to original condition. I really didn't realize how taken advantage of I was by my insurance company. I thought I was in good hands, after all I pay them to take care of my car. WRONG! Tom's staff takes care of you and your car while advocating for you to get what you deserve from your insurance company. My whole family knows, if you are in an accident, have it towed directly to Tom's in Ashland. If police have it towed somewhere else at the scene of an accident, I just arrange for it to be towed to Tom's the next day. Life is complicated enough when you are without your car! I am overwhelmed with the personal attention shown to me at Tom's starting with his receptionist Melanie, his appraisor, legal staff and the owner, Tom McClements. My vehicle is a 2002 Ford Taurus Station Wagon (my vehicle was rear ended at a red light and totaled!) so the attention given had little to do with any anticipated big dollar repairs. I have been through two total losses and one 11,000 accident, all three times Tom and his staff were nothing but amazing. Having my brand new Benz smashed into 3 days after purchasing it was stressful enough. When I went to drop my car off with Tom, tears in my eyes, I was greeted with a warm hug. I found Tom's Auto Body to be very helpful to car owners who are faced with recent auto accidents and impending repairs. Not only, does Tom's put the car owner at ease by addressing the immediate damages and vehicle issues, but they will facilitate the paperwork and multi-step process of accident reports, claims, car repairs, etc., so that it's a one stop shop. The stress brought on by even a minor fender bender can be overwhelming when one considers paperwork involved, the cost of deductibles and surcharges, and the time to do the actual repairs. My car was in an accident the day before Thanksgiving and needed to be towed away. Needless to say, the timing could not have been worse. I knew that I wanted to get it to Tom's, because they had done some major repair on another car of mine years ago and did a great job with it. They assisted me with insuring that the car rental I needed was taken care of by the other insurance company since they assumed 100% responsibility for the damage to my car. Once my car was deemed "totaled", they helped to determine the car's value and created a 16 page report that was issued to my insurance company in order for me to get the best return on my car. Every staff member I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly from the moment I walked in, including the owner, Tom. I meet Tom Sr. a couple days after my wife went there. We had her truck towed to Tom's Auto Body. He took the time to go over all the laws pertaining to the insurance company's. He introduced me to his staff. They were were all very pleasant and knowledgeably in guiding us through the process. One of the first impressions I got from the staff at Tom' auto body was their commitment to do everything possible to help me during this process. My car was declared a total loss by my insurance company, they offered me an amount I was not happy with. Since I had gone away for several months Tom offered to act as my power of attorney and handled all the proceedings from this point on. After much negotiations between my insurance company and the other drivers insuracne company (she was found 100% at fault) her insurance company offered several thousand dollars more to settle my claim. This business is operated by competent, considerate, and caring people, A relatively 'minor' accident resulted in the deployment of three air bags, thus totaling the vehicle. Tom, with his incredibly effective and efficient team, handled ALL of the dealings with our insurance company (2 adjustors and a thorough negotiation of the vehicle's worth), taking much of the 'sting' out of this traumatic occurrence. If you are from Metro West, you know that Tom's is the best and they don't need Yelp to prove it. I have to laugh because I just read a review that says Tom is mean to women... this is hilarious! Tom treats me like a daughter and every second of doing business with this place has been nothing but happy and warm caring people who will literally make sure your insurance agent doesn't get a bonus at the end of the year for ripping you off during your total loss or already dramatic enough experience of an accident. Tom's has always delivered valuable service. I was hit twice with massive damage and each time Tom's made me feel that I had nothing to worry about. I was nervous about a rental and how to get in one fast, they supplied it without giving me a hard time about not having rental coverage and did not demand as large of a deposit as other rental companies, kindly advising that I change my coverage in the future. They are reasonable and very accommodating. When I got my car back it was beautiful inside and out. I even had to rush them as I was going away on a trip for Thanksgiving and they delivered by being done the morning that I requested. Tom's Auto Body is a fantastic business with customer service focused staff. Start to finish my experience with Tom's Auto Body was nothing less than 5 stars. A friend referred me to Tom's Auto Body this summer after getting into a car accident. I am not from the area and was not sure how to handle such a situation or who to trust. Exceptional service. Being involved in an accident can be an unbelievably stressful experience. As a female, it can be very intimidating walking into an auto body shop. But as soon as I walked through the door at Tom's, the receptionist greeted me with a smile and helped me with filling out the insurance forms. Tom assured me that the dent would be repaired good as new. But the biggest surprise came when it was time for them to give me a rental car. I'm so happy with my experience at Tom's auto body. Having an accident is never convenient. This was the second time I visited Tom for auto bodywork after having an accident. And just like the first visit, Tom takes his time to explain every step to you and listen to and answer all your questions regarding your accident.
