I can, obviously, only speak about my one brief experience here, but I'm new to Simi Valley from the West Valley area so I've been looking for "a shop." You know, one you can call your shop. I would like a place to be open on Saturday, when normal people can do chores and run errands, but they're not, no I carved out a few hours to at least meet them and get a diagnosis for an issue. I know my car very well, I fix what I can, but I don't mess with some of the trickier things. I've had similar makes in the past and I know the "usual problems" when they arise. I read that these guys were good with American V8, so I thought they'd be a good place. Trump flags, another sign that I was in the right place... So the issue was a slight RPM stutter, very faint, but like I said, I know my car and these cars very well, I drive for a living, I drove 17 hours and 800 miles yesterday(not my car). So when I tell a mechanic that I have an RPM stutter, it's INSULTING to have that mechanic say, "You were probably just feeling your air suspension filling." They told me my #8 cylander was firing 8000x whatever, but then told me their machine couldn't find anything wrong, and, get this, "If it gets worse, come back." I've never had a mechanic tell me that! Imagine a dentist telling you that! So here I am 10 days later at a DIFFERENT MECHANIC with a $1,000 testing lined up and super duty tune-up with all new coils and plugs and wires, etc... I'm fine with the price, I just wanted my precious car fixed. But I guess it doesn't matter, Mike Willard's told me I couldn't even leave my car overnight because they had too many unfixed cars clogging up their lot... that should be a sign right there. Like I said, I wanted a place, but this wasn't it. read more

This place was recommended as doing good work. Ironically, they do good work buuut not always, just sometimes. They are very, very expensive, I assume you can get the same quality work or better somewhere else for much less. It seems that when its time to charge they go hide in a corner and come back with a ridiculous charge for thei work. The staff in the office and the owner, mostly the lady in the office are very rude. Sherrie makes snarky remark after snarky remark but ends every single one with babe. It doesn't take away that she is rude. The place is messy from the minute you get to the parking lot which is cluttered with broken down cars and junk everywhere. The inside of the shop isn't much better and their office is even worse. They have given up on organization. There are also inappropriate pictures everywhere including the office and restroom. Overall, I guess it depends on what you need done but expect to be massively overcharged and don't expect t anything to be clean or organized. The mechanics are king and helpful but seem overworked. Had an issue with my 2007 Lincoln Town Car where rain was leaking in soaking my carpets??? I could not find the source of the leak. I was met by Pat, the owner and explained my dilemma. A++ for classic car owners. Pat was happy to install new parts to my 1964 Mercury Comet, instead of wincing and making excuses like the other shops. This crew has taken very good care of all of my cars since the dawn of time - except for a small period of time when I lived closer to downtown. I even went to them when I moved two counties away at one point. Their repairs last. Their rates are as reasonable as can be. Their work is timely. And I know it's wishful thinking to think my mechanic spends his free time thinking about the wellbeing of *my* car, but their service will feel as if they do. I have never met less competent mechanics. Took my 69 Mustang to have the engine rebuilt. Leaked, stalled, took it back and they still didn't know what to do. Turned out to be some minor adjustments that a local mechanic made and the leak was power steering. We found Pat, the owner, 7 years ago when our VW wagon was on it's last legs. He kept it running until we got our next one. Pat does a wonderful job of diagnosing problems, fixing them in a timely manner and his charges are very reasonable. Our son purchased an old Cadillac as his first car. I found this place from the Lincoln Club, I was told they were wizards with old cars.. I thought about the drive there from Sunland and took a chance. The chance paid off big time. This place is great!! I was worried at first since the place was being sold to Pat Law and did'nt not know much about him except he was Mike's lead Mechanic. Pat is great and his knowledge of old and new cars blows me away. His prices are fair and he will only charge you to fix it once. Not like other places who charge you for a made up problem just to cover their butts on their screw ups. The only thing I wish they would do is take Amex for payment.. They are kind of hard to find in the back of a industrial park on Canoga Ave, but look them up. You will be very happy that you did. read more
