I called and needed repairs. Alex said they would drive me home if I came in. Alex told me to get there right away otherwise I couldn't get a ride because his drivers were going soon. I got there in 6 minutes. He looked at me and asked if I had a way home or can an uber? I wasn't happy and felt lied to. Then he asked the others about their schedule to drive me home. He had to do it and said it would be a while. I waited a half hour and then called an uber. He also charged me dealer prices for my car part. read more

I've always appreciated the quality work from the team at Bill's Quality Auto, and the technician Donnie who handled my recent oil change did a great job. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by poor customer service. After being quoted $220 for a brake fluid change, I politely called to decline, letting Adam O'Connell know I was happy with the service but had found a more affordable option. To my surprise, when my wife picked up the car, Adam falsely claimed I was "very upset", said their prices were "outrageous" and that "I wouldn't be coming back." None of this was true. I respect the hard work of the team, but Adam's dishonesty has made it hard to trust this shop. I hope the shop addresses this kind of behavior so others don't have a similar experience. read more

I am thoroughly frustrated with Bill's Quality Auto Care. They may be a fine place for auto care, but I will never be taking my RV there again. I left my RV in their care for 24 hours for generator repair and while in their possession they damaged the door to my RV compartment. I sent an email with images and they claim their technician had "no recollection of damaging it" I appreciate they didn't charge me for the hours they spent trying to fix my generator (and they weren't even able to resolve the issue) but would have been more appreciative if they fessed up to damaging my property. Their lot is small and not equipped for RV maintenance. I will never be taking any of my vehicles there again. read more

I took my Jeep to Bill's to get an alignment done after purchasing new tires. My employer, Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing uses them for our entire fleet and Bill's Quality Auto Care came highly recommended. I spoke to Alex and I mentioned that I was also having some popping and clunky noises on my suspension that another shop was unsuccessfully able to diagnose. Alex then asked me a few questions about the vehicles history and what I had done to it. I'm happy to report that Bill's Quality Auto Care was successfully able to properly diagnose the issue and informed me of exactly what was going on with my vehicle. Sorry Adam but Alex and Bills deserves this review, it's earned by their head service advisor Alex. This guy can't own up to any of his mistakes, and a good business should want to make it right when they've done a customer wrong. They've damaged my property, lied to me, taken advantage of me. They don't care about keeping your business, mainly because they are just going to overcharge the next 55 year old and+ I had this shop pull a wire out of my fender wall and plug it into the headlamp. And they thought that they would try to "water proof it?" I never asked for any of this but they put black bonding glue all over the back of my headlight connectors and now that it has rain water in it, I literally can't unplug it? And pull the bulb. They did this ON PURPOSE, I took it to them and they were too scared to unplug it because something was probably going to break, even tho I said that's okay. They wouldn't own up to it and admit they glued the headlight connectors in hoping they would never fall out again. I didn't do it and the person who made the headlights didn't do it haha. That's right Bills did it, Alex was trying to blame it on someone else xD I'm sorry ya'll have to work w this guy. I don't understand why they are gluing peoples headlights in, if pulling it out will damage customers property/wire harnesses. Shop around this place charges twice the national average. Alex will call you up and give you a higher quote 30min after you leave your car with them. The more they know about you, the more they will charge you and take advantage of you. Also did my steering rack and pinion with them, 2 years later it's already leaking and they told me I need to replace it again, I'm not doing it with them because before bills "fixed it" it hadn't needed fixing for 10 yrs. I made an appointment a week earlier to have my oil changed on my 2019 SEL Premium Jetta. I told the young lady that my car's oil took a 0 - 20 508 Spec oil when I made my appointment. I arrived on Tuesday, 10/15 @10AM for my appointment. The young lady greeted me and said she got the 508 spec oil for my car and brought it out to show me. I thanked her and told her that I had been given a "CUSTOMER APPRECIATION CARD" from Bill Garcia, the owner, for a free oil change. She asked to see the card when right away Alex who works there and was helping another customer said "give me that card" The customer who Alex was helping was surprised at Alex's abruptness and I was embarrassed by Alex's actions. Alex was very curt to me when he said I couldn't use this card. I told him that I realize I might have to pay a little more for the synthetic oil. He told me it doesn't cover my car AT ALL even though on the back of the card it states Free Oil Change Service & Inspection for most cars, light trucks and SUV's. I said it's just a VW and I'm willing to pay extra for the oil. I said they should at least cover the basic oil and labor. He abruptly told me that the card wouldn't work for my car. I was shocked by his behavior and embarrassed by the way in which I was treated. I said thanks and left right away. I was very upset and have never been treated so badly! I went home and told my wife what happened. She suggested that I call Bill Garcia, the owner. I waited for a few days and called Bill's Quality Auto Care and asked for Bill Garcia. The young lady said he was gone to a conference and asked if she could take a message. I asked her to have Bill call me once he got back. She then asked what the message was and I told her it was personal. She took my name and phone number while assuring me that Bill would call once he got back. I never received a call from Bill Garcia which was disappointing, to say the least! Alex completely lacked professionalism and social skills. It's was a horrible and embarrassing experience for me. 2 days after spending $878.20 on a new fuel pump and fuel filter my car stopped dead in the street. I had it towed back to "Bill's" where they told me the line had come off and suggested that I was buying the wrong gas. 7 months later gas started pouring out from under the car, at the gas tank. This time I took it to another mechanic who fixed it and suggested I put a new filter in because the one that was in there was "ancient". Before I get into it, let me say that if you need a repair done quickly this is a good place to go. Now, I've had a couple repairs done at this shop and have had an alright experience. I had one $2000 job done on my engine and something went wrong with the thermostat they installed and they replaced it under warranty for free. A second time my engine had issues I wanted them to check to see if it's under warranty or if it needed a different repair, and they have to diagnose it for a ridiculous price of $140. If it's a warranty repair the diag is free otherwise you have to pay the fee, even if you decided to go ahead and do the new repair. A lot of places will do free diags or at least cheaper diagnoses. It pretty much voids the point of their warranty because you might be forced to pay $140 just to see if you can use it. Alright business, hope they do free diags in the future. read more

I called to ask if I could bring in my car because I was having trouble starting it, the person I spoke to on the phone said I could bring it in today but it would be 160$ to diagnose it, I told her that was fine. I went inside and spoke to her to get all the paperwork filled out. Everything was fine until a guy named Adam came out and asked me what car was mine, he saw my car and said something to the women at the desk and told me it was going to be 354$ to diagnose not 160$. I asked him why it was 354$ when they had just told me it was going to be 160$ just to look at the car and he couldn't give me a legitimate answer. I ended up just going through with it since I had towed my car in, it took them a whole month just to reset my computer system in my car. My husband and I had a Saturday almost nightmare when our car died around 2pm in a local parking lot. My best friends wedding was at 4pm and we are from the Bay Area... being pretty clueless to where to take the car to. Currently praising and thanking God for yelp, AAA, and Bill's Auto Care. Initially I had called another car repair place right before Bill's and the man on the phone in comparison was very short with me and emphasized how we needed to get the car there now to have it out by their closing time of 4:30p. Sounding rushed and unsympathetic I called the next place on yelps list which was Bill's... From the initial phone call - Alex's voice was immediately calming and comforting- they weren't closing until 5pm and... if it was the issue I thought it was (the engine starter) it would be a quick and easy fix and our vacation plans wouldn't be ruined. (Had to check out Sunday to head to Disneyland) At this point we had both calmed down and the husbands AAA had an eta of 3p and I left to go get ready for the wedding. (Thankful for uber now too) Husbands experience: Alex was friendly, understanding, and he ordered the part immediately pretty positive it was the starter after an initial diagnosis. So as the car went to get a full diagnosis the part was there in less than 15 minutes. After arriving at 3:10pm he was out by 4:10... with a complimentary check of our fluids and tire pressure included. Free water, coffee, candy... clean restroom and comfortable waiting area. My husband could tell there were a lot of repeating customers due to the first name basis that Alex addressed some people that came in. Alex also updated my husband which was comforting. Thank u for making our Thanksgiving weekend a memorable one! My husband and I have been going to Bill's Auto Quality Care for the past 8 years. We felt Bill's is a quality full-service auto repair shop that we can trust, which is a characteristic that is very hard to find nowadays. Bill and his crew have always been very professional and knowledgeable until recently. Last December, we purchased a new 2018 Range Rover Velar. We knew the service for this vehicle could be pricey and the dealerships tend to overcharge you. However, our concern dissipated as we knew we can take the Range Rover to our trustworthy Bill. Last week, my husband spoke to Alex about setting up an appointment for the first 15,000 miles maintenance schedule. Alex explained to my husband that this maintenance schedule consisted of an oil change, filter replacement and a cabin air filter replacement. My husband clearly indicated to Alex that all we needed was an oil change and a filter replacement as he did not feel the added services were necessary at this time. The appointment was scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving. As usual, we dropped off the vehicle and the person at the front desk provided a copy of the service that included the cost. When you trust a business the way we trusted Bill's Automobile, we felt we did not need to review the invoice very carefully before we signed it, particularly when you think you can TRUST someone after 8 years. We picked up the vehicle a few hours later, paid for the services and went home. When we arrived home, since this was the first time that we had the Range Rover serviced, we were curious about the labor charges so my husband checked the invoice and he noticed that they added $40.00 for tire rotation -- which we just did a few months ago at American Tires. While the $40.00 is not a significant amount, we were surprised to see this charge since this is something that we did not ask them to do. We went back to Bill's and spoke to Alex. We shared with him our disappointment about the tire rotation. He told us that the tire rotation was included as part of the 15,000 miles service and that he had explained this to my husband before. He ironically told us that my husband knew about the tire rotation and I signed the invoice that included the tire rotation service. I signed the invoice because we trusted you and it was not until yesterday that we realized that we cannot trust you. After 8 years of being loyal customers, we were expecting a more professional and respectful treatment. Again, the $40.00 is not the issue here. The issue here is the principle that we trusted this shop will not add a service that we did not request. If this was not bad enough, as Alex was walking away, he added, I can give you a chocolate bar. Considering the circumstances, we thought that was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Alex seemed to find the experience amusing, we did not. While we do not disagree that Bill's Quality Auto Care is one of Simi Valley's top auto repair shops, the dilemma that we are now dealing with is whether we should continue going to Bill's and make sure that we always review the invoice -- line by line, to assure we are not being overcharged for a service that we did not request or find another shop. Wherever we decide, we trust Bill Garcia is a man of principles and he will appreciate to know how two of his most loyal clients were treated over the Thanksgiving weekend. read more

My 2011 BMW 550 has been in there shop for 3 items that caused me concern to the point where I was considering a new car. After considerable thought I decided to fix the problems areas. Bill's automotive conducted the repairs at a reasonable price compared to Rusnak BMW. My car now runs fantastic just like new. Waited two days, then called them back to be told oh ya bring it in so we can see what you need. I asked why they couldn't call me back to tell me this he said we are busy. I understand that they are a business and they need to make a profit, but these guys have crazy mark-up on parts. I had an O2 sensor, spark plugs and cables replaced here a couple weeks ago. I was charged $900. When I looked at the invoice, they were charging $365 for the O2 sensor and $100 for the spark plug cables. I looked online and saw the O2 sensor for $100 and the cables for $30. However, I know they don't buy online, so I called the nearest Part Shop and they had them for $120 and $40, respectively. Again, I don't know who supplies them so I called the nearest Hyudai dealer. (the dealerships usually have the highest part prices around). The dealer had the parts for $231 and $56. So based on the worst case scenario, they marked up their parts around 60% and 95%. I called Joe to just verify that they charged me correctly. I told him the prices that I found. He said he would look into it and call me back. He never did. I called back 3 days later. He had no clue what I was talking about at first. Then, he said he had looked into it and those are just the prices. Then he says, let me call around and look into it further. He called me back later and told me that he was surprised that the dealership had the parts for so cheap and that they must have some deal going on. He refused to tell me what he paid or where he got the parts from but assured me that he was going to have a long talk with them about their prices. I would never go back here or recommend anyone else to. I don't trust Joe at all. The work that they did was satisfactory, but they take advantage of you when it comes to pricing. read more
