I then made a flurry of calls and Yelp requests. Gary responded timely and came by within a day or two for the estimate. He was professional and on time- two things that I've unfortunately learned you often have to pray and beg for in the drywall contractor world. AAA Integrity is also properly licensed and bonded so they are covered there. Regarding the actual job- he showed early, before 7 a.m. as I requested and actually worked till the end of the day when I came home from work around 5. Most arrive well after 8 (sometimes 10!) and like to leave around 3 pm or earlier and you wonder why it takes more days then scheduled. Regarding the work - all I can say is it was top notch! I had some pretty custom requests that were done accurately and without complaint. Many other guys would hem and haw about how they don't want to or can't. Gary was "can do" all the way. One of biggest problems with any drywall work is of course the usual mess. AAA used plastic screens and taped off all the areas not in the immediate work zone. I can say that I never once had a single footprint or sight of drywall dust anywhere else in my house or even at the work site area after they left for the day. After 4 days of work that is pretty impressive! Regarding the lack of quantity of reviews- Gary has been doing this work in the South Orange County area for decades. As homeowners often have projects from time to time he mostly keeps busy with many years older clients and subsequent referrals. Those type of people probably don't even know he has a Yelp page. You might think that any one would say that but the proof was in the pudding (or mud) after a great job by this guy and his team!

Throughout the entire process, he was very responsive. He texted me to call him, so I did, but didn't reach him. The next day I didn't hear from him until much later, and by then, I'd booked someone else. When he texted me, I let him know that I'd chosen someone else. He apologized for being slow to respond and being abrupt in his texts (they were testy) and asked if we could start over. I told him it wasn't an issue, but I'd truly booked someone else. Then he started complaining that he was getting attacked by AI and it was a crime, and it was hard to know if potential clients were real. I said I was real, and he must not have have put my voicemail and my email together. Then he asked me again for my name and city so that he could put it together. At this point, it was getting ridiculous, but I complied, I was trying to help the guy out, and get off his list. Then he starts cussing at me. I blocked him. What a jerk. I'm telling you, I was never anything but kind and helpful to him, the only thing I did "wrong" was ask him for a custom quote (which he never gave me, because he clearly still had no idea what work I'd asked him to do - he only gave me his 3 hour minimum shtick) and later had the courtesy to tell him that I'd hired someone else. Instead of blowing him off. I was nice, and he is throwing four letter words at me. I would find someone else who is more trustworthy, reliable, knows the difference between a computer and a real person, and knows how to treat potential clients.
