Really liked the work that Joey and his partner did replacing the wood fascia that was damaged by termites. He took the time to patch up other areas damaged, and also came back to patch the stucco where he did work. Great to work with and appreciated the attention to detail, communication, and professionalism. Hope to work again on a future project! read more

We had Joey do several projects in our home. He reinstalled vents, mounted a new lighting fixture and built a beautiful redwood gate on the side of the house. Joey is communicative, thorough and thoughtful in his work ethic. He discussed every aspect of each project with us and problem solved to come up with the best solution for each project. He came prepared with appropriate tools and materials. He talked through each project and explained everything which was much appreciated because as a new homeowners this is all new to us. His pricing was also competitive. The work done was a good value and has enhanced our home. We are very happy with the work Joey has done in our home and will definitely hire him again for future projects. Thank you Joey! read more

Joey the Handyman - This is the beautiful redwood gate Joey built for us. - Handyman Near Me

Never responded to the call - I get that even if you are busy you could at least text back and set a call time later

Joey built exactly what I wanted to enclose our raised garden to deter raccoons. He took my vision then designed and built it in just a few days. He graciously returned to make a slight modification to the lock. He's very pleasant and a hard worker. We'll definitely contact him again for our next project. Five stars to Joey! read more

I reached out to Joey originally for the installation of a sliding shower door. Joey responded quickly, was professional, and was able to work with my very tight turn-around schedule. He brought Mike, a plumber, with him after I told him all of the items we needed repaired or installed. They were on-time, polite, and got to work. Above all, they were both extremely honest and didn't try to sell me unnecessary repairs. They will be my go-to for repairs and plumbing in the future! I worked with Joey to close out a couple long overdue home improvement projects: replacing old interior doors, and installing the tile backsplash in my kitchen. Working with Joey was a breeze: timely, communicative, respectful and honest. And he had amazing attention to detail in completing the work. Overall very satisfied with the experience, and will definitely reach out again when the need arises. read more

Excellent work on helping to renovate one of our rental homes. Will definitely use him again and highly recommend him. Excellent at communicating as well! read more

Glad he worked out for others, I will never know since he won't respond. Sent text for 'quicker response' as instructed, not heard back. Text included work to be done and start date, offered to send pictures, however wanted to know if he services my area before doing so. Followed up with one more text, still no response. Don't understand why people today just don't get back to you! read more

Joey was absolutely fantastic! I needed help with a long list of projects to get our home ready as a rental property, and Joey tackled it all seamlessly and in a timely manner. He handled 4.5" baseboard installation, grout cleaning and restoration, door hinge replacements, blinds and screens, patching holes, stair railing replacement, stucco and balcony restoration (as per HOA requirements), wood rot beam repairs, lighting fixture and air vent cover replacements, and door trimming--basically everything I could ask for and more! Although we couldn't do some front yard work due to HOA restrictions, Joey's flexibility and helpful suggestions on other projects made a big difference. As a remote landlord, it's invaluable to have someone reliable like Joey nearby. His communication was spot-on, both verbally and in writing, which is essential. The email estimate was clear and transparent, and texting made it super convenient to stay in the loop with day end updates and photos of the work. He gave thoughtful advice on tradeoffs between materials, especially with rental-friendly options versus homeowner-grade solutions. His work quality is outstanding, and it was cost-effective to book him for about a week for this large project. I couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend Joey The Handyman to anyone in need of quality work and a true professional! read more

I needed a small wood siding repair job done. Other service providers wouldn't bother to quote me for the work because it was a small job. Joey came onsite, provided a very reasonable fixed-price quote and showed up to do the job when scheduled. He did a quality job and has a great demeanor. I have him scheduled to do additional work after that experience. read more

Joey does fantastic work. He is knowledgeable and highly organized. He comes to my house prepared with everything he will need for the projects I have planned. He helped me with all my big and little jobs. And he is very fixed and efficient in his work. read more

I had a list of small repairs, wood rot and exterior painting and called Joey. Even though he was booked for couple of days he opened up the next day for me and he was right on the job in less than 24 hrs. The replacement of the eaves and wood shakes are so nicely done and painted matching so well it looks better than the first day. He finished the job in less than 4 hours with a good price. If I had to go with any other company it would have taken much longer and cost double or more. Very pleased with Joey's work. read more

I was looking for a handyman to help add a media hole in my cabinet to help make my cords and wires more discreet and baby safe. After talking to a few people, I was so happy I came across Joey! After I gave him an idea of what I wanted, he offered his professional opinions and Im so happy with the way it turned out. He was punctual, professional, and efficient making the entire process quick and painless. I also really appreciate that he didn't try to overcharge me as others I felt were. I would highly recommend Joey to anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy handyman! read more

Joey and his crew were very nice and professional. They not only repaired and painted the wooden trimming on the roof but also fixed the gutters, brick planter and installed new porch lights. We've had a horrible contractor before Joey. If only we went with him before meeting the scammer of a contractor. Very reasonable when it came to Joey's work. read more

I have been waiting awhile to offer some feedback on Joey. The reason I've waited is because I wanted to make sure the work he did for my apartments and my home was done correctly and to perfection because I am a very meticulous person. Before I get into detail as to what all Joey helped me with, I would like to say that it is SO HARD to find someone in this profession who is polite, does the work to what you want (a little mind reading (lol)), and do it well. Joey embodies all of those qualities!!! I called several handymen on YELP in February. I felt comfortable in hiring Joey after speaking to others who called or didn't even return my call. The first job was at my apartments. I wanted to see how he worked before I would consider asking him to come to my house for other repairs. After the initial call, I cannot say I was that happy because he didn't really solve my problem and he billed me for an hour. His first hour is high. To make a long story short, after several other bids, I ended up consulting with Joey again and he was able to come back and do an amazing job and repaired my decks! I even received unsolicited comments from my tenants on how polite and professional and how hard he was working on the decks. I would ask my tenants to help me keep track of his time (like Ronald Reagan says, "trust but verify") and sure enough, Joey does not pad his time. He is very honest. When I felt comfortable with him, I asked him to come to my house. OMG, if I could afford him, I would literally have Joey here to help me with this and that all the time. He is THAT GOOD. He is also really polite. Really clean. And really doesn't mind (maybe he does and doesn't say anything) my need for very detailed work. At my home, I told him to go slow just make it perfect! (I know right-but it's my home and I want it to be perfect.) Joey follows through. I also hesitate writing such an amazing review for him because I am afraid I will never be able to get him on the calendar again. Actually, selfishly, I've waited until he finished everything to my satisfaction before I rave about Joey. He is that amazing!!! Things he helped me with...deck repair, water proofing, painting and paint touch ups (he is an artist), repair and paint stucco cracks around my house, repair my shower door, replace weather stripping on doors, repair cabinet hinges, remove rust and so much more. My apartment repairs are done. My husband and I are so happy with everything Joey did at our home. I am sure you will be happy too if you hire Joey. read more

I HAVE FOUND MY HANDYMAN FOR LIFE!!!! My HOA recently notified me that I needed to make repairs to the wood siding on my condo, and that's when I found Joey the Handyman on Yelp. After reading all the positive reviews, I sent him a message and quickly got a response. I was hoping to just sand and patch, but it quickly became apparent that the almost 50-year-old wood and underlayment was deteriorated beyond repair. THANK GOODNESS I had called Joey the Handyman and not somebody else, because this job turned out to be a task that would have been outside the skill set of a run-of-the-mill handyman. Joey and his helper Mike did masterful work, just absolutely perfect! And if you've ever done a project where each successive addition needs to be absolutely precise, otherwise the whole thing is off, you can appreciate what meticulous attention to detail this job required... and Joey and Mike delivered!!! Communication was great, and Joey and Mike were hard working, respectful, and very honest. I would highly recommend Joey the Handyman to anyone in need of handyman services. I will definitely be using Joey and Mike in the future to help me tackle my honey-do list!! (Because my honey don't!!) read more

We live in a corporate rental and hired Joey to help with some things that have needed to get done before moving out. Drywall, Drains, cabinet door off hinges and stuff along those lines. When reaching out he was VERY responsive and came by the next day to check out what we needed. Then scheduled that Sunday around mine and my Wife's schedule to get started. He's a complete professional and is really great at his work! I personally think he deserves more than his rates so we plan on giving him a nice tip when all is complete. All around I'd DEFINITELY recommend Joey to anyone in the area looking to have any work done around the house! He's professional, trustworthy and knows his stuff! We actually booked him to come help in one of our businesses as well....I'll update this review when complete, but so far so good! read more

Joey is our "go-to" guy for all handyman projects! He is a creative problem-solver with broad and deep knowledge, and super pleasant! He has real integrity and consistently demonstrates sensitivity to our needs as homeowners. Absolutely a great hire! read more

The best Handyman in the business! His quality of work is unmatched. I had to remove an old wall AC/Heater unit for which he had to repair, patch, and paint the walls both inside & out. He was meticulous in ensuring that the framing matched the original. Joey patched the outside, re-stuccoed & painted to match. You cannot tell there was a 2X3 foot hole on the wall! Then against the same wall, inside, he did the same; patched the inside, dry wall, textured, & painted to match. Lastly, Joey installed 3 shelves into an existing wall unit I had built 5 years ago. He made it look like it was built with the original unit, extending out to the same inside wall he patched. Beautiful work and great attention to detail. He keeps you involved/informed daily & every step of the process; such a great communicator... The best testament to his outstanding work is that we will be engaging Joey again to do some other work for us in the future. read more

Joey has been very responsive and helpful during the three visits to our rental property. We had countless repairs that we needed and there wasn't anything that he could not take care of for us. Our communication with Joey was very easy. We were able to talk to him over the phone and email about all of the items that we needed to be fixed from our previous renters. Joey kept us in the loop about what time he arrived at the house, how long he anticipated each visit to take, and when he left. He sent us pictures of before and after as well, which was really nice since we weren't able to be on site. Thank you Joey for your help! We will continue to call you for future repairs. read more

I'm so glad I found Joey and Mike on Yelp. I've had them over twice now and I have no regrets. They are kind, knowledgeable, fair, great communicators, and worth every penny. Joey is great about telling you what he is going to do, doing it and then showing you what he did. Mike and Joey are a great team, tag teaming when needed and at other times working together like a well oiled machine. I have never worried about them leaving a mess, they are always on time or early and I plan on having them over in January to do some indoor maintenance. Here are few things they have accomplished: After a $500 water bill, they inspected, adjusted, repaired or replaced every sprinkler in my lawn, and made a diagram of the system related to my yard. They put gutters and downspouts on portions of my home, tying them into the drainage system. They laid pavers on the side of my home so it's no longer a muddy mess. They replaced a garage door, painted and replaced rotting spindles on the porch, plus rebuilt an entire wooden banister section of another porch. As they went along with my punch list, if they found things that needed addressing, they would let me know, and we would decided how to approach the problem together. No need to look elsewhere--HIRE THEM! read more

We recently hired Joey to help us with various repair and painting jobs. I reached out to Joey via his website; he replied immediately and we scheduled three days of his help for the following week. Joey is prompt, responsive to texts and extremely pleasant and polite! He is a HARD worker, immediately tackling the tasks at hand--and in a meticulous and tidy manner. Joey spent three hours power washing our worn and dirty red brick in both our front and back yards--they look like new! Joey hung four, large pieces of artwork, working closely with us to ensure everything was placed exactly to our liking. He hung two, large and heavy shelves to perfection. Joey finished off our newly installed stove vent enclosure; he carefully constructed some wooden pieces, installed them and painted it--we are thrilled with the results! Joey installed our new camera security cameras and doorbell, which included wiring the doorbell, filled the wall with stucco and painted it--again, to perfection! Joey also helped us with a variety of smaller jobs; a new gate latch, caulking and water sealing our doors and bathroom floors, and he painted our old, built-in bedroom bureau and TV cabinet with drawers--we love how clean and refreshed it now looks! We found a goldmine when we found Joey! We are already compiling a new list of "Joey" jobs for the near future. He is a pleasure to work with and is work is impeccable--thank you so much, Joey! Your hard work is MUCH appreciated! read more

I have gone through more handymen than I care to remember until I met Joey. I had installed a drainage up on my flat roof that was leaking due to the heavy rain we had just experienced. Joey came , diagnosed the problem and went to work. Unfortunately the sealer we used didn't not have time to dry out - due to rain- and the pipe leaked again. He came back as soon as we found out there is no rain in the horizon and went to work. He explained the faulty craftsmanship of the previous guy and took care of it. If you are looking for a pro with integrity and honesty look no further. He is the man. I highly recommend Joey and I have finally found my guy. read more

Joey is amazing. He was able to get out a 30 year 100 lb trash compactor. It was tightly packed where it could not be moved to the front, back, side or top. He showed perseverance and intelligence to get that darn thing out. And he was able to do it without damaging anything. He was on time and friendly. He is on my permanent go to list. read more

Prompt returning calls, keeps you posted on arrival time better than any worker I've used, capable. Would recommend.

Recently, I needed to have some work done on my deck. I noticed that there was water damage to some of the wood. I wanted the damaged wood removed and replaced with new wood. I contacted Joey to ask if he would do that for me. He texted me right away and asked me to text him a picture. After seeing the picture he said he would love to do the job. Working with him was so easy! I gave him some information that he needed and he put me on his schedule. A few days later he showed up exactly on time and did a fantastic job on my deck. He is a very friendly guy and has some real skills. I highly recommend him if you ever need a good handyman. I will definitely call him when I have another project. read more

Joey fixed four different things at our house efficiently, effectively, and at a good price in one visit.
