Miharu Ice Cream has been on my must-try list forever! I had never made the trek to the original spot, but I happily suggested coming here to their Berkeley location. It's so worth it, and now a favorite of mine! I came with my friend, family, and pup on a weekday evening. The shop was quiet, but depending on the time or days, lines can form. Inside, there are a few tables for pairs plus counter seating. They also have a bench outside. The decor is quite minimal. It's colorful, and you'll find cute ice cream signs plus their menu. They're dog-friendly, and the service has been nothing short of friendly, patient, and warm. I love sampling, and I love how many vegan and Asian-inspired flavors they have! Being dairy-free, this was perfect. I ended up getting the Lemon with Berry Lavender and Vegan Chocolate in a cup. A single scoop allows you to choose two flavors, which is great! They also offer sundaes and different cones. I loved how refreshingly tart the lemon was. There were lots of hints of berry as well. The chocolate was phenomenal--so rich and creamy! I'd get these again. If you're craving ice cream and are interested in fun yet tasty flavors, Miharu Ice Cream is the place to go! I can't wait to come back again and again. Find their small shop off College Ave. with street parking around.
Came here after eating Burmese food. Found this place on yelp. It had interesting flavors. Came in about an hour before closing, there was only a 1 worker there. He was friendly and let us sample the flavors. I decided on the green thai tea and dark chocolate in a split single scoop. The texture of the icecream was smooth. The flavors were on point. I could taste the green thai tea flavor which wasnt overpowering. The dark chocolate was also good, had a good chocolate flavor. I wouldn't mine coming back to try other flavors.
This is a very popular place to go get nice wholesome real cream ice cream. The flavors are unique to the business as well. They combine herbs and spices to ice cream flavors that Mary perfectly. I had some lemon lavender scented ice cream. Wow it was delicious. I was with a group of six. We all tried something different and it was just perfect to eat. I would come back again and again like I have in the past.
Miharu is a new ice cream shop in the Elmwood neighborhood with a variety of common and unique flavors. The employee (maybe the owner?) was very nice about letting us sample different flavors. I sampled funfetti and ube - ended up getting the former. The reason my rating is 4 rather than 5 stars was that I couldn't really taste the ube flavor as it had an overwhelming taste of coconut. Ube is one of my absolute favorite flavors so I was bummed that the coconut seemed to overpower the ube. I don't mind a little coconut paired with ube but not to the point where I can't taste the ube. On the other hand, I'd absolutely recommend the funfetti. My mom got the breakfast flavor with chocolate and cornflakes (forgetting the actual name), which she liked. I'd come back if in the area to try some other flavors.
Absolutely soooo good!! Omg I loved the energy of the cashier - they were so enthusiastic about the birthday cake ice cream that I was so impressed by! They were able to get just the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor of bday cake. I personally feel bday cake flavor is always too sweet to get a full scoop of it so I was thrilled about this recipe. Will be back!!

I'm surprise to find an ice cream store with so many unique flavors. Server was very patient as I don't know which flavors to choose. I got to try a few flavors before deciding to get a split cup of lavender tea and banana w/dulce de Leche. These two flavors go well together as well. Very strong flavors. Will be back for other flavors.
Most of their flavors are unique and seem to be Asian-inspired. There's indoor seating (2-3 small tables) and it doesn't seem to get very busy. They are on the pricier end ($6.50 for one scoop), but I assume it's because of their uniqueness. They let you sample the different flavors. I tried their Banana Dolce de Leche and liked that it didn't have that nasty banana artificial taste.
Fabulous flavors! Creamy texture, and interesting ingredients that delightfully satisfied our craving for ice cream. This is my new favorite local ice cream.
Rainy October Sunday and that's my favorite time for ice cream. I saw that Miharu just opened in Elmwood and it was on my errands route so stopped in. They were super friendly and helpful and I ended up with two flavors...one I forgot already! but tasted good and the other I can't ever forget - the Shrikhand. It is saffron, cardamom and spiced coconut milk yogurt mixed with almonds and pistachios. The first time I ever tried Shrikhand was from the market section of Vik's Chaat and I loved it. I've bought it there a few times. But THIS was 100,000 times better. So, so delicious. I will continue to go in looking for new flavors to me, or flavors I know but that are done spectacularly. I understand they sometimes have a take on rose flavored ice cream so I'm keeping my eyes peeled!
Love this location. I recently went and I have no regrets! There's a few tables and chairs to sit but somewhat small as it can get crowded when busy. The staff is so friendly and I love that they let you try as many flavors as you want which is very kind as there are many unique flavors to choose from. The salted butter flavor is 10/10!!! Trust

Solid ice creamery with fun flavor combos The texture isn't super creamy but I like the flavors!! They also had a nice coffee one and lychee flavor was grounding in the lychee raspberry one yum Would recommend as a solid option if you're nearby and need an ice cream fix read more

This is my favorite ice cream shop! Their popular flavors sell out, but there are so many good ones to choose from. You'll find that you will have more than a few favorites before walking out. My favorite way to enjoy ice cream there is to bring a friend and share a banana split. Ask for the banana brûlée'd. You're welcome. I also like to add the toffee nut, whip & some kind of sauce (usually chocolate) on top. NOM! If you wish they were open later. Just grab a pint on the way out and enjoy it any time of day until you run out. The staff is great! read more

Could be the best chocolate ice cream that I've ever had. Dark milk chocolate was rich and creamy but not overwhelming. The banana with dulce de leche and Shrikhand (non dairy but seriously delicious) were also great. Drop what you're doing and get here for some ice cream! This experience was superb. read more

Love this location! Noah & Noelle were so attentive and helpful! Personally really loved the red velvet cake and mugicha!! All the other flavors are also so so good, it can be hard to choose! I always have to stop by when I'm in Elmwood! read more

Loved the selection of flavors here as they were not your typical. Ordered a banana split with banana dulce de leche & breakfast brownie. FIRE. The banana was blow torched with sugar and made a world of difference. Server was patient as he gave us samples and very accommodating. Highly rec! read more
