Came here after eating Burmese food. Found this place on yelp. It had interesting flavors. Came in about an hour before closing, there was only a 1 worker there. He was friendly and let us sample the flavors. I decided on the green thai tea and dark chocolate in a split single scoop. The texture of the icecream was smooth. The flavors were on point. I could taste the green thai tea flavor which wasnt overpowering. The dark chocolate was also good, had a good chocolate flavor. I wouldn't mine coming back to try other flavors.

This is a very popular place to go get nice wholesome real cream ice cream. The flavors are unique to the business as well. They combine herbs and spices to ice cream flavors that Mary perfectly. I had some lemon lavender scented ice cream. Wow it was delicious. I was with a group of six. We all tried something different and it was just perfect to eat. I would come back again and again like I have in the past.

    Coco wants funfetti ice cream!

Miharu is a new ice cream shop in the Elmwood neighborhood with a variety of common and unique flavors. The employee (maybe the owner?) was very nice about letting us sample different flavors. I sampled funfetti and ube - ended up getting the former. The reason my rating is 4 rather than 5 stars was that I couldn't really taste the ube flavor as it had an overwhelming taste of coconut. Ube is one of my absolute favorite flavors so I was bummed that the coconut seemed to overpower the ube. I don't mind a little coconut paired with ube but not to the point where I can't taste the ube. On the other hand, I'd absolutely recommend the funfetti. My mom got the breakfast flavor with chocolate and cornflakes (forgetting the actual name), which she liked. I'd come back if in the area to try some other flavors.

Absolutely soooo good!! Omg I loved the energy of the cashier - they were so enthusiastic about the birthday cake ice cream that I was so impressed by! They were able to get just the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor of bday cake. I personally feel bday cake flavor is always too sweet to get a full scoop of it so I was thrilled about this recipe. Will be back!!

I'm surprise to find an ice cream store with so many unique flavors. Server was very patient as I don't know which flavors to choose. I got to try a few flavors before deciding to get a split cup of lavender tea and banana w/dulce de Leche. These two flavors go well together as well. Very strong flavors. Will be back for other flavors.

Most of their flavors are unique and seem to be Asian-inspired. There's indoor seating (2-3 small tables) and it doesn't seem to get very busy. They are on the pricier end ($6.50 for one scoop), but I assume it's because of their uniqueness. They let you sample the different flavors. I tried their Banana Dolce de Leche and liked that it didn't have that nasty banana artificial taste.

Fabulous flavors! Creamy texture, and interesting ingredients that delightfully satisfied our craving for ice cream. This is my new favorite local ice cream.

    Shrikhand is a winner!

Rainy October Sunday and that's my favorite time for ice cream. I saw that Miharu just opened in Elmwood and it was on my errands route so stopped in. They were super friendly and helpful and I ended up with two flavors...one I forgot already! but tasted good and the other I can't ever forget - the Shrikhand. It is saffron, cardamom and spiced coconut milk yogurt mixed with almonds and pistachios. The first time I ever tried Shrikhand was from the market section of Vik's Chaat and I loved it. I've bought it there a few times. But THIS was 100,000 times better. So, so delicious. I will continue to go in looking for new flavors to me, or flavors I know but that are done spectacularly. I understand they sometimes have a take on rose flavored ice cream so I'm keeping my eyes peeled!

Love this location. I recently went and I have no regrets! There's a few tables and chairs to sit but somewhat small as it can get crowded when busy. The staff is so friendly and I love that they let you try as many flavors as you want which is very kind as there are many unique flavors to choose from. The salted butter flavor is 10/10!!! Trust

Love this location! Noah & Noelle were so attentive and helpful! Personally really loved the red velvet cake and mugicha!! All the other flavors are also so so good, it can be hard to choose! I always have to stop by when I'm in Elmwood!

    Menu of deliciousness!

The only issue is there's no clear menu posted online, so we walked in completely blind. Their website shows a long list of flavors but not what they actually have that day, so it felt like a guessing game. The line moved really slow because there was only one employee handling everything. She was taking orders, giving samples, answering questions, and ringing people up all at once. She was super friendly and doing her best, but it felt like a lot for one person during a rush and the shop could definitely use more help. The space is really small and tight so it was hard to even see the flavors until we got close to the front. When we finally got up there, a lot of the tubs were already empty which was confusing since most ice cream shops restock. Some flavors I wanted weren't available anymore, and if they're out it would make more sense to just remove them from display. The dirty containers didn't make sense to display. I sampled the jasmine green tea and knew right away I wanted it. It was creamy with a smooth tea flavor that wasn't overpowering. I got a small with half jasmine green tea and half avocado. The avocado was surprisingly really good, super creamy and tasted like a fresh avocado smoothie. Both flavors weren't overly sweet which I liked. My husband wanted cookies and cream but it was sold out so he got chocolate chip instead, which was solid and creamy with good texture. Overall the ice cream itself was good, not the best I've had but definitely not bad. I like that the flavors lean more natural and not overly sweet. I could see myself coming back if I'm in the area, but the experience would be a lot better with faster service and more consistency with what's actually available.

We have been extremely loyal customers ever since. They rotate flavors, but through many months and many visits I don't think I've ever tried a bad one. The flavors are also very fun, not your typical cookies and cream, cookie dough, etc. Although they do have a plain version sometimes. The employees are very helpful and kind letting you sample the flavors. Our absolute favorite is tinky winky- ube flavored ice cream with honey comb pieces. They also sell points to the side- take advantage. You'll want more when you're done! The ambiance and vibe of bad Walter's is perfect. Bright colors, disco ball dripping, fun sayings on the cups, the whole 9 yards. The take home pint we got has Reddit "hate" comments and their responses, it's hilarious. Poor, old, formerly great Fenton's. I grew up in Piedmont, I've been going there all of my life…read more Nowadays, I avoid going in, because the service was so rude so many times, I gave up. But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this. Sad.
