I just recently discovered this eatery and I can definitely say the biggest sell for me is the prices - the prices here are GREAT! I got a loaded burger, 3 toppings, for under $5 and they had a great special going on the night I went - .99 cent tacos! Decent portions, too. As far as the atmosphere, my friends and I were not that impressed - of course, we came well late into the night, so many of the patrons had gotten their drink on. We were lucky to snag a table outside - they do NOT have outdoor seating available after 10 p.m. per a law in KY we were told. However, we DID grab a table just outside the door that happened to qualify as "on their property", so we were able to escape the noise and enjoy the outdoors. We had a GREAT waitress - she was willing to chat it up with us a bit and was incredibly friendly! She took our orders wonderfully - we got our food exactly as we ordered it. However, the time it took to get the food was a bit lengthy - I'd ordered a taco and a burger, and for some reason my taco came out first and it took 15 more minutes to get the rest of the food (I was one of 3 in the group). Overall, I enjoyed the cafe - the food was delicious, they had a great selection of drinks, and I loved our server. The only thing that would keep me from returning is the bar-like atmosphere of loud people and blaring music that we encountered. It can get crazy noisy and the seating is not too comfortable. I might try this during the daytime at some point to see if there's a difference. read more

I grew up near the Midway and always hated coming here as a kid. Now that I'm older and they're under new ownership, I was willing to give it a try. The place was packed but they were understaffed. Our waitress was extremely rushed and didn't look us in the eye or seem to care about our table. I ordered a margarita and it had salt at the bottom, my mom couldn't even drink hers. I am new to the area. I wanted to have a lunch with a new friend and she said let's go to Midway. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the place. I thought maybe it's just another sports bar with overpriced beer. The front left side was a full old fashioned bar.The right side had seating at a high side tables. I wished that they had booth seating because she had a baby and I was worried baby might not be safe on top of the table. We were greeted by one of the female owners who took our order immediately. I ordered the single cheeseburger which was the juiciest cheeseburger I have ever had. This burger had lettuce, pickles , tomatoes, onions and had my choice of american, cheddar, pepper jack, swiss or provolone. I ordered the provolone on my burger, I also had a order of cheese fries with bacon bits on top. I want to let the world know that this really was the freshest tasting cheeseburger. It was cooked perfect and juicy as all get out delicious. My fries were freshly fried with cheese and the bacon.These were also cooked fresh and even tasted like they just cooked it the bacon too. My friend ordered the chicken wings with the sweet and spicy sauce. The wings were sizzling fresh when they arrived at the table, She couldn't stop telling me that these wings are the best she ever had. She insisted that I give one a try. I will say that I'm not much of a wing girl until Now. I have to say for real these wings were the best I ever put in my mouth. The wings here are not your average frozen pieces you usually get in restaurants. These wings were big and fresh and slow cooked and then flash fried to get the perfect crisp. I helped myself to 4 of her wings because these really are the best wings I have ever tasted. I was so impressed that I ordered a 10 pack of wings to come home with me for my husband to try. BTW he now is a huge fan. Bottom line is if you are looking for good fresh food then stop by Midway it's right across the street from the Ft Thomas Tower park. We had a great experience here last Tuesday! Staff was super attentive and was constantly making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. We had a burger and wings. The burger was juicy without making the bun soggy; however it's the wings that made our visit great! The wings were smoked (which obviously gave them phenomenal flavor) yet not dry at all. And they were slathered (not drowned) in sauce. We washed it all down with a great selection of craft beers that were more rare finds than your average Cincy bar. This place has seriously turned around with the new owners. It's been under new management for a couple years now, but have not had a chance to get in. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is actually nice in comparison to the last time I ate here. And they are finally smoke free, which is a huge deal in KY. Everything is moderately priced and the decor is update and cute for a towny restaurant/bar. It's always hopin during great weather with people sitting on the front patio/sidewalk. Tonight was the 2nd stop here after we had eaten here a while back and the server said wings were a must! So they have a decent pub menu, and room enough for 12-15 taps. So as suggested I tried the wings, I got the Hot buffalo sauce and they had several other options, both sauced and dry rubbed. Now about the actual wings they are delicious, they are meaty and the smoked flavor is on point. They are truly jumbo wings! The service leaves a little to be desired, which is what got them 4 stars instead of five. At any rate this is a neighborhood gem that I hope to get back to regularly. So go try the wings I think they'll stand up to any expectations that you hold them to! read more

KASK: The wings here are AMAZEBALLS! The only issue I have is not being easily able to bring my favorite toddler-dates, since the place doesn't offer its more discerning clients highchairs. Ain't that a kick in the dingding? I got a little weepy about it. Halfway thru the meal, looking at those giggly twins, worrying when I'd be ever able to have them bouncing them on my knee again. Despite the chaos of chasing them over salad and wings, with their sweet mama and yaya needlessly apologizing for the harmless spilt water, I could have spent all day there. I was home. For a bit. This is possibly the best wings in greater Cincinnati! I try to get up there for the wings about every week or two. The wings are amazing! The wings are very large. They smoke them before flash frying and the flavor comes through. I've had just about every sauce they offer and they were all good. I really like the Carolina gold for a mild and they have a Chiplotle sauce which is just the right heat in my opinion. I really like the Cajun dry rub too though, hell I like them naked! I prefer to get them with Cajun dry rub and pay extra to get a couple sauces on the side for dipping. I haven't tried the Nutella sauce yet, though I've heard that's best on the wings so that it's the right consistency. I'll post again when I try them. The wings come in groups of ten which is a pretty filling meal for a full size guy. But there always seems to be room for more wings, because myself and and 2 friends ate 50 in one sitting. I have done the Midway Mayhem Wing Challenge. I was so enticed by my love of their wings that I thought "what the hell". They were HOT!! You can't drink while you eat them or for 5 minutes after (I forget the actual time). Eating them before time is up isn't too bad, in fact the faster you get them down: the better. The hard part is the slow wait for that glass of water in front of you after you're done. Then the next day, the challenge begins anew when nature calls!! It's enough to make me hesitant to do it again. Besides, the heat the sauce had great flavor, but there was too much heat for me to enjoy it. I prefer to eat wings a bit less hot, a bit more slowly, and enjoy the whole experience. I'd like to tell you about the staff. They are incredible. They are very friendly folks and always seem happy to help. The owners are also very nice and I see them there all the time. One day me and a group of buddies were sitting outside in the front. When two of my friends got bird crap dropped on them from above about ten minutes apart; Erika, one of the owners, brought us bird poop shots as a joke and consolation. If I lived in Ft Thomas, this would be my hangout, for sure. I've also heard wonderful things about their burger, but I can't bring myself to order one when I'm there because I love the wings so much! If ever I try it, I'll post about that too. read more

I went here with my wife on a Friday night. Their wings were unique and phenomal. I believe they dry rubbed and then smoked them, but whatever it was gave them a great texture and kept them extremely moist and flavorful. Their burgers and fries were pretty good as well. I think the cafe shifts into more of a bar atmosphere around 7-8pm, so I recommend going early if you just want to sit down and enjoy dinner. When we went there was a band playing, which limited the seating and was a bit loud for eating dinner. read more

Previous ten years we loved Thursday night is our family taco night. $1 delicious generous tacos and beef sliders makes a great value meal for the parents and kids. Nice social spot to meet the neighbors and the kids get to see their friends. Now we went once after the remodelling and new ownership which we know nothing about so have no bias. We ordered us and our teenage kids some gourmet burgers meals that were delicious. The service was very good. The beer selection was nice for the adults and the server suggested we get a bacon fried bacon appetizer which tasted good. The three of our party that ate this appetizer all were horribly sick in the time it took to leave and get home a few blocks. It was a pretty horrible result and we haven't returned since which is sad as we were formerly regular patrons. We assume the bacon appetizer was bad but with the dramatic increase in menu cost and suspected tainted food we have chosen to patronize the other local establishments. We suspect our experience was a fluke as we see the Midway seems as or more busy than it had been in the past. Perhaps we shall become brave enough to try again someday? read more

Both times I came it was kind of early, so it was quiet - which was nice. The food was good, we played some darts and pool and sampled some of their in-house beers. Friendly staff.
