When the food was brought out by one of the young runners I commented that it looked as if I had received the full orders and asked to see the server. After five minutes it was clear that he wasn't coming back as he was behind the bar engaged with other patrons. I went ahead and started eating as the food was getting cold and I assumed that he would make it right, Bad assumption as he never came back to check on us, my beer ran dry and there was no opportunity for another round. When he next appeared, it was with the check. I questioned him about the sizes and he stated ,"I rang in the side sizes validating my concern. He then came back and said, " no those were the full sizes, would you like a free cheesecake on me?" No, I want to be charged for what I ordered and what I ate. as you can see by the check, I had to pay for food I did not order and did not eat. It seems as if my used to be go to place in the county is suffering from a lack of customer service and I am sorry but there are too many other choices out there that value me as a customer.

The menu has been cut in half, the service is not as good as it used to be, the prices have increased, and they are no longer willing to make exceptions or modify most of the cocktails; even when asking for something simple like a replaced spirit for an up-charge or to accommodate allergies. It's been getting a little more "club" atmosphere recently. The music is louder, the clientele a little more rowdy. Maybe some prefer that, but we miss the elevated cocktail lounge it used to be.

We had a reservation for 6pm and walked in and got right to our table, with drinks shortly following. I ordered their espresso martini, which was very solid. For an appetizer I ordered their soup of the day (clam chowder) and entree was the orange roughy in a lemon cream sauce, with wild rice and broccoli on the side (and my wife got the prime rib - WOW!). Both were EXCELLENT - wish the portion sizes were bigger honestly on mine! For dessert we all split the lemon mascarpone cake and cheesecakes, which were devoured. Then, because it was one of those rare warmer nights in February, we went outside and sat in front of the fireplace and drank a bottle of wine and hung out for an hour or two. My server was super awesome and she suggested I also get their bread basket because she's heard great things about the truffle butter and sweet butter that come with it and let me tell you all something. The truffle butter was good, but the sweet cream butter I would gladly eat on everything the rest of my life, it was that incredible. For my main course I ordered the prime rib that they're known for and while I liked it, I wish I'd asked for it to have been cooked a little more than medium well, but that's just my personal preference and I knew I should have gone with what I normally do. The sides were fantastic and paired well with it, and I also got a side of their vegetable risotto which I ate for breakfast the next day without shame. I then finished the meal off with the delectable lemon cake you see pictured here and it was so smooth and delish. I basically had to roll out.
