Don't you dare contact RL & ask a question like, why do some bartenders give free soda refills, & others charge.. This happened when we attended the Hairball show in 2023. I didn't realize until recently that they BLOCKED me on their FB page because I contacted them on messenger regarding the soda refill question. We attended the Strutter show this past weekend & I was trying to 'check in' there, but couldn't get the location or thier FB page to come up, yet my husband & friends had no problems with it. I'm going to be super nice here as most of my somewhat harsh feelings are based on the band that was running two hours behind. Yep, we stood in line for 2hrs waiting for the doors to open. Riverfront Live folks were doing their best and the one fella(I'll refer to him as Captain Chaos) kept having to come out and let everybody know what was going on. If you needed to use the restroom or needed a drink, "go to the bar or UDF" which aren't that far away but it was so hot and muggy it was unbearable. Again, temps aren't RL's issues but later they had a walking drink offering at a price. The concert was supposed to be out back in open air area but changed to indoors. Which was kind of nice but they had the back doors wide open so it wasn't conditioned inside unless you were standing right under a vent or by a fan. All the tables inside were marked Reserved? So we stood for hours so if you're unable to stand for 3-4hrs straight, I'd guess plan ahead and reserve a table or lean over a iron fence? The indoor area was pretty dark so no real opinion. Audio was actually pretty good. Highs, mids and bass were all clear and concise conserving how low and mumbled the leads voice was. My husband and I recently went to Cincinnati for the Psychedelic Furs concert. We were scared because the event was very rainy and we weren't sure how the indoor event was going to pan out. I have to be honest. I was a little skeptical walking into the indoor event space. But within a few minutes, it felt like I had taken a page out of the 90s, when bars were great and people were fun and nobody was trying to kill each other. I felt the same well-being here. They cancelled the Voyage concert and I ended up losing $25 in fees. It sucks to lose money, so yeah, one star.

My Mr. and I attended to two concerts recently. The first one was Ted Nugent (outdoor) in August and Trombone Shorty (indoor) in September. I really like this venue. It's not dingy or dirty. Renovated and new management. It's just the right size for an intimate show. The set up inside is pretty spacious with lounge chairs and tables. The floor near the stage is a decent size. The stage is small yet the sound is not distorted. They have two huge bars which the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. The outdoor does has some seating (picnic tables). There is plenty of parking. They do have a good beer selection. None on tap, just cans from domestics to craft (16 oz) The pricing is not high at all much cheaper than Riverbend. If you are not interested in beer, they do carry wine and make cocktails (limited selection). My only con is the bathrooms. No mirrors, you have to hold the handle for a long time for the toilet to flush, and the water pressure to wash your hands is weak. Other than that, I have no complaints. Security is tight, pricing for tickets are reasonable and had great experiences with both shows. I know my Mr and I will return. read more

I've been going to shows here since it was Annies. Lord I miss Sunday Night Fever disco nights. The new owners have classed this place up, as much as you can when you're in a yearly flood zone. The outside stage area is lovely on a summer night. Inside is the same as ever, but the sound and lights are top notch. Don't be intimidated by the metal detectors and doormen, the staff is friendly. A wide variety of shows are offered here, I'm sure you can find a reason to visit. read more

I attended two back to back Dark Star shows at Riverfront Live last weekend and all I have to saw is wow. My boyfriend and I planned the trip last minute just for the hell of it (having never been to Ohio) and Cincinnati did not disappoint. We tailgated with Zinger for several hours before the show and it was so much fun. We met some incredible people had had an all around blast. Our bartender for the night, Kevin, turned out to be a really awesome guy and joined us for the festivities during the night of the second show. We drank with Tim, the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and kind. Kevin was so much fun to hang with. We ended up partying together the next night and I can't wait to go back and visit! Kevin is a gem, and is always welcome to visit us back in Dallas. read more

An iconic Cincinnati music venue brought back to life with new ownership. It feels like a 1970s roller rink but with a brilliant sound and light system. Inside can hold 1200 and outside is 3500. Cans only. $6 for 12oz Truth or 16oz Budweiser. The standing room only pit in front of the stage inside is unique. It can hold around 400 and is separated from the rest of the seating. There are leather seats and booths along the outside. I think this has the potential to be a top venue. It's similar in size to Bogart's, but the outdoor option will bring larger acts. I'm excited to see. read more

A great outdoor venue to finally see a live band... Blackberry Smoke! The venue was clean. Women's bathroom clean and well stocked. Bar had easy access from outside and inside. Staff very friendly and enforced mask wearing. Met one of the owners Tim Jordan and he was very friendly and welcoming. Over all a great time. Will definitely return!! read more

Owned by Thieves Went to show in Oct. 2019. Doors open at 8, get there at 7:15 or so, and go to buy a tickets. Guy is just setting up and opens window. We tell him we want two tickets. He says: 25 each. We say: Your Ads say tickets were 20. He says: 25 day of show. We pay him 25 each, since we can't really dispute it. The next day, look back at the website, etc. Never ever anywhere is there any indication that tickets were more the day of show. Guy made it up and ripped us off for 10 bucks. Theif and a liar. Show was sadly empty and the guy deserves to fail. May his business go under and he can go back to being a line cook. read more

Buyer beware!!!! This place should be shutdown. The way they are operating a "business" is criminal. We showed up for the Granger Smith concert. It was moved inside the morning of the concert due to bad weather that was moving in. When we originally bought tickets, we bought a table. We were informed things may look a little different due to it being indoors, but we were assured we would still have reserved table seats. We arrived and the tables had chicken scratch in chalk on them, so we asked the staff where to sit. They instructed us to sit at a table, and said if anyone shows up, to come get them. We were sitting there enjoying ourselves when a very rude lady walks up and says that was her table. We went and got the staff like they said to do and he came over. There were two men sitting at another table without the orange wristbands, but they said they weren't moving, so the bouncer went to go talk to someone. This other VERY rude, sexist, I'm assuming bouncer comes back and tells us that's not our table and we had to move. We simply asked, then where is our table??? To that, he replied, "out in the rain". How did our table get left out in the rain??? He said the rude lady paid a premium, which was a lie, because all tables cost the same-AND WHO CARES, we paid for a table. He then called over other bouncers and proceeded to kick four moms out because they didn't have a table for us. He threw cash in my moms face and said we had to leave. We never saw a minute of the concert. Just beware, if you buy a table, they don't have it. This is 100% false advertisement and this establishment should be sued for the negligence they show. We were paid patrons, sitting at our table, and were removed from the establishment. The very rude bouncer 100% assaulted us because we were women. Save your money and go somewhere else, this is not a concert venue. Granger Smith's wife messaged me on Instagram and said this was ridiculous and was contacting the tour manager, unfortunately we were already gone. Attended outdoor concert. Very limited seating. When offered the opportunity to sit in VIP covered area for $50 that included seating and open bar we jumped on it. After we paid and ordered our first round of drinks we were told there were no free drinks, and they refused to give us our money back. We checked with other patrons to make sure we hadn't heard wrong but they were also under the impression drinks were included. What a scam! Will never go back. read more

Terrible organization and lines. No personnel or staff to organize long waits for will call or getting into venue. Parking extremely disorganized. Lines at bar extremely long, insufficient servers. Bought vip tickets and there was no organization or communication of vip seating or entry. Overall a very bad experience I would not come here again.
