Went to Midtown brewing Company last night, never going back that's for sure! I'd be giving one star anyways, if it wasn't the lowest I could go aready. The one star itself is for the only nice thing I experienced while there, we were greeted and sat much faster then I would have imagined. Our server Emily was as amazing as she could be given the unfortunate situation that had befallen her to work for this resturant.
Upon receiving our food, everyone of my company of friends who I came with was either served a bowl (in one case freezing cold) what could only be discribed as an bold attempt to use there fryer trap waste in new creative ways! Or an beef anus tartar that was masquerading as a burger of some sort! Needless to say the food looked terrible, and it tasted far worse. But I must admit, the blazing hot metal plates (seriously metal plates under a heat lamp, are you ran by an idiot?) stale bun, and pool of waste grease garnishment on each plate was a great accent!
Although I'd have to say, for me the kicker to this horrible experience was, one of my friends ordered her burger with a over medium egg. Our server Emily said she'd ask, and that it should be ok but... what followed was an absolute fiasco. Emily went up to the serving window, and after what I'm sure was just asking the chef if he could do that (it was only about 1 second from her getting to the window). The chef proceeded to yell and curse at Emily for 5 minutes through the window, right to the ears of the entire resturant and bar to hear, ABOUT AN EGG FOR A CUSTOMER! And apperently this was a common thing, because not one manager (was there even a manager there?) came to the aid of Emily, or to step in and calm that beligerent chef.
After that was done, again commending Emily on her composure, she came back to inform us calmly I must add, that the resturant doesn't do changes... what kind of arrogant ass hats thought that up? Can a head chef really be that egotistical to think that there food will be changed so much do to the temp of an egg?!?! Or maybe your chefs can't handle opening anything more then a sysco box and pushing a couple buttons on a microwave? Whatever the reason I highly recommend you go somewhere else, this place doesn't want your buisness, and it's obvious. read more
