Trying to hard to pretend to be an Irish Pub when they are nothing more than a college drunk place. Bartenders have 0 personality. I was in on 5/22/2026 around 9pm and left after 5 minutes of being watched and made uncomfortable by the staff. Every college town has college bars so why not just advertise as such if that is all you are so others don't waste their time hoping for a truely Dublin experience. I had a really disappointing and honestly upsetting experience at this bar, and I feel like it needs to be said. I completely understand this is a college bar and that staff deal with drunk students causing scenes all the time... but this was not one of those situations. My friend, who was visiting and unfamiliar with the area, was put out on the street without her phone, leaving her with no way to get home safely. That alone was concerning enough. When I calmly asked a bouncer (a Black man with dreadlocks) for his name so I could follow up with management the next day, I was laughed at and told that the managers "do not care." That response was shocking and incredibly unprofessional. When I then respectfully asked if I could just make sure my friend was okay and get her belongings back, I was physically pushed out the door with hands and yelled at with no explanation. Most of the other bouncers (with the exception of one) were equally rude, laughing at us, mocking us, and repeatedly yelling "just leave" from behind the door while completely ignoring any attempt to have a calm conversation or understand what happened. We were not aggressive, we were not causing a scene, and we were simply trying to resolve a situation involving someone's safety. It was honestly disturbing to see that level of disregard and lack of basic human decency. Situations like this require at least a minimum level of communication and professionalism, and that was completely absent here. These staff members seriously need basic life skills and a better understanding of how to treat people. I will absolutely never be spending money here again, and I would strongly caution others about how situations are handled at this establishment. read more

A couple bouncers kicked me out for no reason other than I was "sleeping" at a table. I was sitting down having a drink and they insisted I was sleeping and had to go. I was forcefully removed from the bar without question. This place is a joke. read more

Every staff experience I have had here has been negative. In general, the bouncers are very cold and self-important. We had experienced some hostility from them before but nothing that took action like this. My friends and I paid cover, walked in, three of our friends went to the dance floor in the back, myself and another friend (the only BIPOC person in our group) went to the bathroom and then to the front bar. I got her a water and we sat down at a high top. She finished the water, and as I went up to the bar to get myself a water, two people showed up out of no where and said that my friend and I had to leave. I asked why and if I could just get some water, they shook their heads and ushered us out quickly. We were inside for less than 10 minutes and were very confused. We were both behaving normally while there were multiple women at the bar falling over and spilling. When I came back later (just me) to reconnect with the rest of my friends (who were in the back on the dance floor and had no clue where we were or what was going on because we had no explanation or time to communicate) the bouncer acted like he had never seen me and made me pay cover again. That's at least $60 wasted in covers. Overall the attitude of security is incredibly off putting and rude. I understand if you DO need to kick someone out but do so with empathy and an explanation. Was hoping this was not racially motivated but after reading about other people's experiences it's hard to think of as a coincidence. read more

Honestly loved dubs prior to tonight, and was my go to bar in the area. Unfortunately, this was not my experience tonight. The bouncer at the door took cover for my friend and I, while I waited for her ID to be checked. Once she was all set, he stopped me again and stated that I needed to pay again... I had paid. I believe this bouncer must have been under the influence of something to not remember. If he was not under the influence, he was knowingly taking money from me. He then gave me the option to either leave (and not refund) or to pay again.. literally wth. I will not be coming back after my experience here. Note: The place was closing within the hour. The bartender, Dom, was nice and attentive. He did what he could with the tools and menu items they had to attempt a good visit. They were out of Red Breast, lettuce, pasta, and mushrooms. Possibly more but there were few menu items to choose from. We only knew of one chicken dish and the lettuce when we placed our initial order. After about ten minutes, he returned from the kitchen apologizing because they were out of pasta. While we were looking at other items to order, he went back to the kitchen to inquire about anything else they were out of. He returned to confirm it was only pasta and lettuce. I ordered mushrooms on a burger. After almost 20 minutes (4 other patrons in the restaurant) our food comes out and there are no mushrooms on my burger. I say something. He goes back to ask the kitchen and returns to say they only have breaded mushrooms and are out of regular mushrooms. I ask for a manager to voice concern/frustration because he isn't the person to rectify the situation. Manager (Noah) comes out and I have to ask for his name. He never introduced himself. His arms are also crossed the entire time I'm explaining what happened. I mention his closed off body language. He says that's just him and doesn't reflect his emotions. That's great because you don't need emotions to listen to feedback. He then explains the lack of training he's received and that he is new to management. The main problem with this "pub" is that ownership and management set their people up to fail. Their "chef" does all of their ordering and was out for days with no one covering ordering food/supplies. The GM clearly doesn't care and isn't invested in the business. It's sad because our server/bartender was excellent. The food wasn't that good. The space is incredible. It's huge and is pretty neat looking but dated. Lots of opportunities with the business if ran properly. read more

So I was very disappointed when we got there and most of the "full online menu" didn't actually exist. Like, the actual menu consisted of burgers, some average appetizer choices and 5 entree choices. We enjoyed our dinner here very much. I think it's a great addition to East Lansing. The food is affordable, yet they have very nice entree items, some unique dishes that you won't find at other restaurants/bars in the area. It's huge, so it would be great for a larger group. The building is old and brick, and it definitely has the look and feel of an Irish pub inside. We ordered potato skins to start- they were good, not great, and the portion was a little small- four "spears" fried crispy with cheese, bacon and sour cream. My Mom ordered one of the chicken salads and I got the fish and chips. The salad was huge and fresh, but maybe could have used a little more chicken. The fish and chips was absolutely perfect and delucious. The service was prompt and friendly. We'll be back! read more

This was THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. First of all, the online menu did not match what was actually on the available physical menu in the restaurant. The actual menu is a shell of its online version and is pared down to a few items you could get in almost any dive bar. Even that food was terrible, and frankly inedible. We left without even eating it. For example the fish and chips was comprised of two extremely small rectangular "Van de Kampf" frozen fish sticks (about the size of cheese sticks) that were so overcooked, they exploded all over the room when I tried to cut them with a fork. The other food was equally bad, in terms of prep, quality and serving size. Literally, I could have done much much better at a Coney Island for half the price. Save yourself and don't even think of going to this place. I would LOVE to see Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue go apoplectic over this place... then again, it is so bad, he just might die from a brain aneurysm... read more

We had just come from the MSU game and as we were walking back to the car we came across this really nice Irish pub. We got seated next to the fire which was super excellent since we were frozen to the bone! Our waitress immediately took our drink order and their black velvet was prepared perfectly. We ended up getting the deep fried mushrooms (some of the best I've had and good qty), scott egg (prepared kind of oddly and came out cut in half, not crispy), fried pickle spears (really crunchy), peasant bread (more like an awesome cheese and garlic pizza with a super dense dill dip), and cheese sticks (really weird batter which made them super crunchy and really tasty). Everyone got something different for dinner but I ended up getting the French dip and their dipping sauce was pretty amazing. It was pretty packed in there but I was a little disappointed to see that they didn't serve Irish stew, which is how I judge all Irish pubs! read more

Stopped in for lunch at homecoming. It was busy but we were sat fairly quickly and the place was awesome. Had corned beef and cabbage and I wish I would have ordered triple meat. It was some of the best I have had and I wish I ordered more to take home. Atmosphere was fun and festive. Cannot wait to return next year!! Go green!! read more

Hey guess what, I hate this place. I'm not even inside yet the lines don't move. Some reggies keep hopping the fence and cutting which I don't think is fair to me or anyone else. Also they claim they are an Irish pub but I have yet to see a leprechaun and/or a pot of gold. This place needs to be compared to the other bars at Michigan state, and they need to come in last place. I thought Rick's was bad but I dare you to stand in line at Dublin and try not to kill yourself. There are only so many rounds of chopsticks I can play with my friends. On the flip side, if you enjoy pregaming and then sobering up in line, come to Dublin. This place actually sucks and I haven't even seen the inside yet. I thought they were supposed to shut down last year, they should have. Very upset this place is still standing and even more upset I'm still in line. wow this place is the worst. Blonde host takes down his mask when talking to guests and tables. i even asked him why he was doing that and he responded "so people could hear him. " you are a grown man you can project your voice sir... Put my name on the waitlist and wasnt called for close to 2 hours, i went in finally to check and was given a table right away. don't think they had any intention of calling me when there was an open table. should do better training with toast. I got charged $45 for one double moscow mule because i stupidly trusted that she knew what she was doing. Wasnt given a voided receipt and the manager did not even come over to handle the situation. Social distancing and masks not enforced at all, people were getting up and talking to whatever table they wanted on the patio.. it was kind of a free for all. ordered a double vodka soda and my friend ordered a double whiskey sour. they both tasted completely watered down with no booze! Dublins Square East lansing! Got this burger as an appetizer. Waited 2 1/2 hours to get our food (we didn't even get ours because we left after waiting 2 hours!!) The burger & fries were dry! The hottest thing that came out was the plate. it either came out of the dish washer or they had microwaved our food. We went for a birthday dinner gathering, there was only four tables in the whole restaurant. The food was coming out in moderations, not in order as ordered. We ordered two alcoholic beverages and they were watered down. Definitely understaffed in the kitchen, which i understand, but for us waiting 2 1/2 hours is ridiculous!! Tried to take my WATER away from me and threatened to call the cops because I was leaving with their glass when I wasn't planing on leaving. I went there with my friends on a night out trying to have a good time and my friend had ordered two tequila shots for 12.00 plus a 2.00 tip for it and we were standing by the bar the whole time and never got them. So we asked the lady we payed that we never got our drinks and she claimed she set them in front of us but she never did . we said we didn't even have the empty drink cups in front of us to prove we didn't get them and she knew she never handed them to her so we tried asking for a refund or just for her to give us our drinks and we were being kind and saying sorry because we knew there was a lot of people there and she kept calling us annoying and the security guard said we had to leave. They were gripping my friends arm so hard and calling her a bitch and being very disrespectful. It is a very nice place but it needs new staff there! We went here on a Friday night of a home game weekend and only had to wait 15 minutes (it was just 2 of us) and had a wonderful experience! I got the Caesar salad with chicken and it was one of the better salads I've ever had in my life. They have a wide variety of local beer and a fully stalked bar. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich and said it was great as well. They have a lot of tables in there too so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a table. Our server was super polite and very attentive to our table the entire time. I recommend going to this restaurant if you're in East Lansing. read more

Dublin is an interesting place. During the day, it's your typical irish pub, other than the music that doesn't really fit. It looks nice from the outside, and has an old pub look on the inside. The food is your typical irish pub grub, and it's pretty good. They have a nice patio you can sit/eat on. To get to it you go through a GIGANTIC door. At night, this place turns into just another crazy East Lansing bar. They have a back room that they open up and there's a DJ and dancing. The rest of the place is a bit calmer. I think it's unique because it's a pretty good restaurant during the day and a crazy bar at night. Most other bars in EL are not known for good food during the day unless it's a burger. read more

This is a pretty typical Irish pub. It's got a plethora of things I would typically expect at a pub like this and all at decent prices. The food is good. We had a couple of appetizers- the cheese and crab dip, artichoke dip and nachos. They were all tasty and not too fried and heavy. I also had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was really good!
