I had a really disappointing and honestly upsetting experience at this bar, and I feel like it…read moreneeds to be said. I completely understand this is a college bar and that staff deal with drunk students causing scenes all the time... but this was not one of those situations. My friend, who was visiting and unfamiliar with the area, was put out on the street without her phone, leaving her with no way to get home safely. That alone was concerning enough. When I calmly asked a bouncer (a Black man with dreadlocks) for his name so I could follow up with management the next day, I was laughed at and told that the managers "do not care." That response was shocking and incredibly unprofessional. When I then respectfully asked if I could just make sure my friend was okay and get her belongings back, I was physically pushed out the door with hands and yelled at with no explanation. Most of the other bouncers (with the exception of one) were equally rude, laughing at us, mocking us, and repeatedly yelling "just leave" from behind the door while completely ignoring any attempt to have a calm conversation or understand what happened. We were not aggressive, we were not causing a scene, and we were simply trying to resolve a situation involving someone's safety. It was honestly disturbing to see that level of disregard and lack of basic human decency. Situations like this require at least a minimum level of communication and professionalism, and that was completely absent here. These staff members seriously need basic life skills and a better understanding of how to treat people. I will absolutely never be spending money here again, and I would strongly caution others about how situations are handled at this establishment.
