Have been here several times since they opened, but first time adding a review…read more Came on Friday late night (around 8:30pm) and got seated right away. Initially looked busy and thought there may be a wait, but the line was actually for the dessert place that shares the same entrance. I usually switch up my order between the Clam Ramens (shio and shoyu). Can definitely say that these are always made consistent (at least on every visit I've had), so there's no surprise. My friend ordered the Avocado Vegetarian Ramen as part of a set. We were both intrigued by the taste of the broth. It was creamy, but not super thick, and had a fresh, vegetal taste. One miss this time was that my friend ordered a drink, but unfortunately it did not come out at all while we ate. We mentioned it when asking for our bill and asked that it just be cancelled, which the server was apologetic about. Interior is kept clean, which some table seating along both walls and also a long high-top bar (communal) in the middle. There's isn't any parking designated to the restaurant, but there's options for paid street parking a short walk away.

I've…read morebeen disappointed by countless bowls over the years, from Michelin-recommended shops in New York to overhyped social media darlings that make you wonder whether the people promoting them have ever had truly great tonkotsu ramen. Konjiki is good, far from great, but very solid. The broth has the right consistency with a satisfying richness, falling just a touch short of the deep, creamy intensity I personally look for. The noodles were cooked perfectly, maintaining just the right amount of bite. Nothing ruins a bowl of ramen faster than overcooked noodles. The soft-boiled egg was equally well executed, with a perfectly jammy center, and the chashu had excellent flavor and texture. My biggest criticism isn't what's missing....it's what's added. Like many ramen shops outside Japan, Konjiki includes pickled ginger, pickled takana, and braised bamboo shoots. For me, none of them improve the bowl. In fact, I think they distract from what should be the star of the show: the broth. In hindsight, I could have easily asked for them to be left out, but I've never really understood why they're included in the first place. Even so, this is a very respectable bowl of tonkotsu ramen and one I'd happily order again.

I've honestly been avoiding ramen because Toronto has still been way too warm for a hot bowl of noodles, so cold ramen packed with seafood and bright, refreshing ceviche flavours immediately got my attention. We also tried the gyudon ramen, karaage, takoyaki and Ramune. Side note, the karaage was v v good, and the gyudon ramen is worth ordering if someone in your group wants something warmer and more comforting. Ambiance: The restaurant had a casual, modern atmosphere that felt comfortable for a relaxed meal. It was lively without being overwhelmingly, and the space felt clean and welcoming. Service: Everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive. They were helpful when we had questions about the Ramenlicious menu and the kale noodle option, and our food came out at a good pace without us feeling rushed. I think the ceviche ramen is only available until September 6, and i like that they switch it up every 2 weeks for ramenlicious!

Was tasty and the chicken was so crispy that being in the ramen didn't make it soggy. Service was quick and very professional. The ambience was very modern and well laid out. Good spacing between seating areas to make it enjoyable and give you a private setting.

I'm sad to say I walked away from my Kinton experience a bit disappointed and sad…read more FOOD (2/5) We ordered the Pork Original Ramen and a Pork Donburi appetizer. 1.5/5 - The Pork Original Ramen was so so underseasoned to the point I had to ask for a side of sea salt so I could add to the bowl. The blandness and wateriness of the broth overshadowed the good elements of the bowl. Ramen was cooked nicely with good QQ and the pork was tasty, but man that soup was so bad. 4/5 - The Pork Donburi was the opposite - super punchy and flavourful. Albeit the bowl was smaller since it's an appetizer/side but the flavour makes you feel full. SERVICE (4/5) Staff was friendly and very willing to get a side of salt without taking offense. Although it was a bit hard to flag down a server despite being half capacity at 9pm. VALUE (2.5/5) Similar portion size and pricepoints to other chain ramen shops but the lack of flavour knocks this down for me. LOCATION (5/5) Right outside North York Center station it is easily transitable and driveable with paid parking lot and street parking right beside. OVERALL (2.5/5) The bland ramen was a huge turn off for me and the rest of the meal and experience didn't make up for it. I'd recommend Konjiki or even Ajisen as better ramen options nearby.
