This is my go-to ramen spot in North York. I've been their loyal customer long time ago since they opened their location downtown. I came for their ramen combo promotion. There are two promotion combos, one for 2 people and one for 4 people. The 2 people combo is $40 which includes 2 ramen of 3 choices (tonkatsu, tonkatsu black and spicy tan tan) a side dish of fried chicken, one cheesecake (mango or yuzu flavour) and two teas/pop The 4 people combo is $69 which is a steal, it includes 4 ramen of three choices, 2 gyoza, 1 fried chicken, 2 cheese cake, 4 teas/pop. The promotion ends on Dec 31st, please check with the restaurant before you come. I had the tonkatsu black, with thick noodles, the broth is rich and the portion is generous, I am so full and think I can skip dinner after this. And my favourite side dish from sansotei is gyudon. I didn't order it this time because of the amount of food the combo came with but I always ordered it when I came here. I've tried many gyudon places and somehow this side dish ( not even a main, cause it is small) is my favourite of all.

I had the TONKOTSU+ bowl, which is a combination of smoked pork pastrami, meatballs, chashu, daikon, shiitake, green onion, and truffle oil. This medley created a symphony of flavors that made each bite truly memorable. The rich and savory broth was the star of the show, perfectly complemented by the well-cooked noodles and the variety of toppings.

My husband and I recently tried take out at this place for the first time. We were a bit skeptical at first about whether the ramen noodles would taste as good as in restaurant. Luckily, we live super close to the North York location, so the noodles were piping hot. The soup was packaged separately from the noodles, which prevented them from going soggy. They also gave very generous portions. I would say the taste and portions are about the same as what you would get in restaurant. *** Helpful tip: The North York location sometimes has an Uber Eats Buy one get One free deal. You can get 2 ramens for just $18.99!

My first time at this location but have been to the downtown one a few times. Very solid and good choice for ramen in the area. Service was average. We went early for lunch on a Tuesday and it was already a decently busy. We were a little disappointed that the chicken wings were already sold out by then. I had the black garlic oil ramen which was really good and at a reasonable price.

Ramen just taste so much better dining in! Maybe it's this location or we're hungry...the lunch here today was amazing! The soup and meats were so flavourful...and perfectly done soft boiled eggs! I got the Miso Black which is a bit spicy with garlic oil...so good! They only had the patio section opened with a few tables so you might need to wait a bit. The staff mentioned that they are hoping to open up inside soon but still trying to hire and train new staffs. It's really nice to see restaurants opened again!

Partner and I were in the area and decided last minute to come here for a nice bowl of ramen. Luckily at the time we went, there was no one inside and so we got a table right away. The ramen we both ordered were very strong in flavour, so strong to the point that I coughed a number of times haha (I don't think we can handle strong flavour). Service was minimal and there we did not wait too long for the ramen to come out. It was cold during the time we went and so the ramen did keep us warm.

Every time I have ramen, I always feel hungry afterwards. This time wasn't different, maybe I just need to lower my expectations for ramen. I tried the Tonkotsu and the Tonkotsu Black. The only difference between the black version is the garlic oil. There was also chashu pork, black fungus, egg and green onion. Maybe a bit too salty. It was decent and fresh, but again not super full. The menu is concise. They know what they're good at and they focus on it. I like that. Service is very quick. They get you in and out. The space is clean but a bit tight.

A Sansotei location in north York? I was really happy to see that as it's close to where I was staying. What's even better was the lack of lines! I used to go to the downtown location when I lived here and the line was always insane. But this place had several empty tables on a Friday dinner around 9. As for ramen quality, it's comparable to the downtown location. I particularly like the black version, as it is really flavorful. The meat portion is on the small side, so I typically get an extra portion to add.

A bowl of ramen just really hits the spot on a cold rainy day. Sansotei is my favourite place for ramen. The broth is rich and creamy. Take out ramen is not as good as dine in but I like that they separated the noodles from the broth to prevent sogginess. The egg is always a perfection of soft boiled goodness and pork is grilled to perfect. I will def be back!

My girlfriend and I were originally supposed to stop by for chung chun rice dogs, but decided to settle with sansoutei ramen instead. We went around 4:00 on a Saturday, and it was not crowded at all; only one other dine in customer, and some uber eats deliveries here and there. Dining in does require a vaccine passport, but a QR updated vaccine passport is not required. The only con there is to this ramen store is the narrow and hard-to-navigate restrooms. It was uncomfortable for me to go to the washroom because of the lack of space and the dim lighting. Aside from that, I don't see anything else to criticize. Good food, good service, good experience:)

We ordered Tonkotsu Black and Spicy Tantan at first, and after we finished them, we decided to order a GyuDon. We wanna give it a try, but it disappoint us because the meat kinda dry, not too tasty, and we hope there's more sauce for the Gyudon. The Black Tonkotsu is so good! I got the thin noodle - it perfectly cooked. It comes with pork belly, egg, and black fungus Spicy Tantan also our favorite! Comes with pork belly, ground pork, bamboo shoot and egg. We are team thin noodle!! Service is superb! I gave 4/5 mainly of the Gyudon. Overall, ramen are flavorful and love the eggs! Follow me on instagram @astravel_eats

A bowl of Ramen during a cold rainy day or winter always hits the spot, and this is the best spot in the area for it. The restaurant is clean with friendly staff, however, parking is kinda hard since they're on a small road off of Yonge

Can't go wrong with a bowl of ramen on a cold winter day. It was delicious and flavorful. The service was not attentive and I had to go up to the cash register to pay when the place was not busy at all. However, the food is good atleast!

Spicy tan tan. Can barely see anything.

They're doing some kind of promo right now (not sure when it ends), so if you're curious, maybe check it out soon. I usually go for their Monday deal--50% off the original Tori Paitan ramen! The broth is super rich, though as someone who loves spice, I kinda wish it had a bit of a kick. They also have different offer for the rest of the weekdays! See my photos For toppings, you get one slice of pork and one slice of chicken--the chicken is seriously tender and tasty, way better than I expected. The pork is a little dry, but it's got this nice grilled flavor going on. All that for just around $9-something before tip, not bad at all!

Genuinely the BEST ramen I've ever had! 4 stars because the appetizer flight was underwhelming but…read morethe pork bone ramen is a solid 10/10. I rarely finish any leftover broth when I go for noodle soup but I wiped that bowl clean, lol. My friend and I ordered a fried appetizer flight which included chicken karaage, takoyaki, and chicken gyoza. The presentation was great, takoyaki was above average and gyoza was good as well, can't go wrong with that, but it wasn't anything memorable. But the karaage was pretty bland, didn't have the same crispiness or style of breading I'd typically expect from other Japanese spots so I wasn't a huge fan of that. My honest suggestion would be to just skip the appetizers entirely and go straight into the ramen as that's their specialty anyway. Plus, the portion sizes are very generous, even though we split an app it still felt like a lot of food. Now for the ramen, I ordered the Signature Tori Paitan with thin noodles and BROOO. I swear it was the best tonkotsu ramen I've had yet (at least in the West), and I've tried a lot of ramen restaurants across the US and Canada (haven't been to Japan yet but I'd like to imagine this would be close). The noodles were fresh and chewy, the broth was rich and super creamy without being disgustingly greasy (ifykyk). Chashu was delicious as well, I usually prefer pork chashu but the chicken was actually my favorite between the two, it was really impressive to eat chicken breast THAT flavorful while also being soft and juicy. I wish they gave at least one or two more slices of meat because the protein portion was very small. The other toppings were a great addition, bringing the right amount of freshness to balance out the broth. My friend ordered the Truffle Tonkotsu ramen and that was delicious as well. VERY heavy truffle flavor with oil, paste, and shavings being used- so if you're not used to the earthiness and richness of truffle, I'd suggest to order the paste on the side or something. She got hers with thick noodles and I actually liked her noodles more than my own! They only had one dessert available which we skipped, but overall the dining experience at this place was great! We would definitely come again when we're in the area, probably just to order the ramen by itself. The atmosphere is also super cute, small, but perfect for a date or to spend some time with friends and family without too much noise. Highly recommend Midori Ramen!

My wife and I made it work by having one person stand at the end of a high table. Most importantly however, I did not find it lacking in bone broth taste. I would be quite surprised if they weren't using real broth based on the taste, but also that the chasu was some of the best I've had. Great quality, meaty piece with an excellent char.
