First time trying Midnight Cookies and wish I had gone sooner, especially since they're closing soon. The shop is small, but they had fun options including vegan cookies. I ordered the Banana Foster and Lucky Charms. It took about 10-15 minutes since they're made fresh to order, but they came out warm, soft, and in a pizza box. Loved the crispy edges with soft centers. Once cooled, they were the perfect texture. The Banana Foster was amazing, even for someone who doesn't usually like banana flavors. The Lucky Charms was sweet and fun with white chocolate chips, though I didn't really taste the cereal. Overall, delicious and worth the wait. read more

I absolutely love the cookies here and I have been several times throughout my time in Gainesville, I think I have tried almost every flavor they have (and they have all been delicious)! I love that their cookies are made fresh and are always so warm and delicious. It's also really nice that they deliver, but I often come to the store to order since they're very quick and that way I can get just one or two cookies if I want! I love the variety of cookies they have to offer. You are bound to find something you'll like. I also like the s'mores, dirt, and midnight cookie options. Although not my favorite, they're still pretty good. The dirt cookie is unique because it comes with pudding on top. So I would recommend eating that cookie fresh instead of saving it for later. Each cookie costs about $1.69 but they have specials too. Sometimes it's difficult to justify paying that price for a cookie when you can easily get 2 dozen at Publix for $4, but nothing beats a fresh, warm cookie. From the looks of this place you would think they are going out of business, but don't that fool you. You open the door and are greeted by the smell of fresh baked goodies! The menu has their current features followed by classic and favorites. Figuring that it was early enough and I was going back to my hotel to do some work I got 8 cookies: cookies and cream, chocolate chip, smores oatmeal raisin peanut butter. I was very surprised when they told me 10-12 minutes, I thought they were all made and just in theaters, nope they make them batch by batch, now my anticipation is even higher. There is only one flaw with this place: the cookies. The service, the fast delivery, the "warmness" of the cookies are all great. The flavor of the cookies just was not there. It tasted very average compared to what I was expecting. The s'mores cookie was very tasty, but the other ones I ate all tasted the same to me. I usually am not picky. I am confident, despite the cookies being average, this is still the best place for late night cookies in town. Although it has closed down, CookieGazm was a better late night cookie spot in my opinion. Overall, if you are having a midnight craving for a warm cookie to munch on, this is the spot for you. Odd little place with amazing cookies. First, they have odd hours. I love it. They open at 6:30 pm and stay open until 1 or 2 in the morning. This is the time when I really want a cookie and the time when I am least likely to make the cookies myself. Second, the inside of the... store? Restaurant? Husband says that it has all the ambiance of a plasma center, whatever it is. I was just going to say, "odd" again. The set up is, well, odd and hard to move around in. The walls are painted bright blue and yellow. Which is a good start. But there are no decorations or ambiance beyond that. The service is average to friendly. The line moves quickly, if there is a line. But odd as it is, I go there. Why? Because I do not accept substandard cookies in my life. Life is too short to be eating cookies that are in any way wanting. These cookies are high above standard. They even have vegan cookies. The cookies are baked to order, so they are always hot and fresh. I really enjoy the s'mores cookies. And, of course, they have milk. I had been dying to try Midnight Cookies for a year now, and finally, FINALLY got the chance when my family came to visit. We wanted them delivered, so you have to order at least $8 worth. Delivery fee is $1 unless you order more than $12, then it's free. We ordered 2 midnights, 1 maple bacon, 1 cookies and cream, 1 bananas foster and 1 smores. In about 45 minutes, and $11.25 later (incl tip, don't be cheap people!), we were deliver hot, delicious cookies, They are no less than 3.5-4" in diameter and have firm edges, squishy innards. In order of most to least favorite: 1. bananas foster (holy hell, this was way better than i expected! glad i put that order in last minute. i think its the brown sugar...) 2. maple bacon (tastes like breakfast) 3. smores (the large mushy marshmallow on top was fun to eat) 4. cookies and cream 5. midnight (it was ok) If i were to splurge again, I would order at least 2 bananas foster, a regular and chocolate smores, and a maple bacon. read more

The cookies at Midnight cookies are really really good. I do think that between this cookie place and Cookiegazm I would for sure rather have Midnight than the other. First the cookies here are a lot cheaper than other cookie places, and the cookies are huge. I recently tried several different ones. I tried a snickerdoodle, peanut butter cup, birthday cake, and the dirt cookie. All were really delicious and had a ton of flavor. My two favorites were the snickerdoodle and the birthday cake. They are pretty big. I only tried about half of these cookies and each was great. One thing that is really nice is that the cookies are $1.30 per cookie. This is great since most other cookies are way more expensive than this. They deliver and they do charge a $2.75 deliver fee, but this is not that bad. The cookies are made fresh so they do take around 15 to 20 minutes to make and then the delivery time. When we tried the cookies it took a total of 25 minutes from the time we ordered to the time they were knocking on the door. The driver was really really friendly. They open and start delivering at 6 p.m. I think these are for sure the best cookies in Gainesville and I highly recommend that you try these out. Okay so I just finished eating these cookies. I have never been so disappointed by a food purchase ever. I love sweets but each cookie tastes like straight up sugar with a cardboard after taste. I ordered 8 cookies and I didn't even manage to finish 1. The only cookie I would recommend is the Bacon Pecan everything else is crap. The Tollhouse cookies you get from Walmart are 100% better than this. I only gave two stars because they did give good service.
