Then around 9 PM, I received a text stating that they will be here around 9:45 PM. By that time, I did not feel comfortable. So, I canceled it. First of all, there is no way that I would meet someone at almost 10 PM at night to take my laptop, much less meet someone I've never known or met. Even just the mention of "they "will be at my home that late at night, made me incredibly uncomfortable . I would be a fool to allow myself to be that vulnerable. I don't know if they have a second job or what, but you don't keep people waiting that long to do business. I just found this very unprofessional. The hard drive was failing and an IT tech recommended having it "imaged," which would result in an exact duplicate that would not require any software reauthentication. He also recommended Tech Care as the folks to do it. They initially tried doing an automatic imaging, which didn't take, so they attempted to manually image it and were successful. The computer now has a more reliable SSD drive (no moving parts) and it indeed works exactly as it used to (only faster). Eddie informed me that the old drive had maybe one month left before it completely failed. LIFE SAVERS!!!
