Needed an oil change, and another location said they could get me in, and when I arrived, they lied about it, so I called the other location, and got in right away!!! was visiting family in town and my vehicle was due for an oil change, hope they remember the black charger, here from reno. Anyways the tech dragged me under the car to show me this leak, Think oil cooler. I get my oil changed every 3k miles no one mentioned it b4. i did have that oily smell i was paying attn to. anyways i drove home took it to dodge and they fixed everything and only charged me 100bucks, my deductible, this should be about them as well. i thought i got took on the service contract i bought. oil cooler and radiator for 100bucks. we need maybe trust these guys when they want to show you, doesn't hurt to pay attention. read more

Went in for an oil change and Nicholas the manager was great! Helpful, honest and friendly! I was expecting to be pressured into paying for more services, but I wasn't. He was honest and didn't try to sell me anything. Plus he gave me a discount on my synthetic oil change!! I will be returning to this Midas for all my auto service needs! I have been to this Midas twice in the last several months, seen two different people running the shop. Both times they easily could have sold me services I did not need. Indeed, some other shops attempted. I find this shop to be honest. On both occasions I was allowed to see my Jeep up on the lift, they showed me what was wrong and right. I even drove the Jeep with the tech so I could show them the problem. Most shops take your car, tell you what is wrong with it in the office and expect you to take their word for it. Granted on one occasion they could not find the issue- but, they were honest about it and offered to take the Jeep longer for free while they found the root cause. When my breaks do wear out I'll take them here. As far as service price goes it is fair. I know what the parts cost and all I am really paying for is labor at a fair rate. read more

Tommy the manager went up and beyond customer service after I has had a hard day with another place that didn't seem to give 2 cents if I was helped or not. I went in on (Nov 20th, 2019) to get my car checked out (Ford Focus). It was making funny sounds and vibrations I was unsure of. Manager Danny N. greeted me early that morning. They inspected my car and found out what was wrong with it. Turns out it needed new struts, mounts, springs, and tires. Danny N. and Shane went above and beyond in providing a severely needed service for my vehicle. Got my car fixed with a few discounts to include a veterans discount. The technician (Shane) took me home and picked me up after the service was complete. Needless to say, I am very happy with the service Danny N. and Shane provided. Danny also got me onto a program where I can make low payments, which helped me a lot. I will go there for now on for maintenance of my vehicle. I recommend going to Midas located on 5744 E. I was very pleased with the service here and highly recommend this place. Adam, and another man at the front desk, and Angel, one of the mechanics, were very helpful and courteous, I took my older model car in for an oil change and they did a one of their regular general inspections where they found a few serious problems. While it was up on the lift, they showed me exactly what was wrong. I already knew about two of the problems, but my left front boot was also clearvery damaged. They offered to repair these things and as I wasn't planning to get this done, they gave me a very fair estimate. They were able to finish in good time and even dropped me off at the beginning and picked me up when it was finished. Very good! read more

please don't ever go here. took my new dodge charger here for an oil change. a simple oil change... was charged 130$ first of all, whatever paid it. drove off and immediately could tell they did something to mess with my car. smelled terrible like burning oil and overheating. kept driving a mile or two my car was smoking from every angle to the point where I had to pull over it was spraying oil because these idiots forgot to put the oil seal back on the oil filter. there is oil ALLLLL over my car, it's been days and it still stinks so badly like burning. had my toddler terrified. they honestly purposely messed with my car because they knew I had a cars extended warranty on my car. read more

I took my new to me 2010 Acura rdx for a service contract oil change . All was fine tell pick up time which I was informed I needed all my fluids (changed) and also my brakes needed replacing. Well, I do my regular business with D and D down the street. they had done a pre purchase inspection and all was well. did a double check with them , brakes are good for another 10,000 miles . fluids are fine. UP SELLING IS BAD business!!!!! Plus at D and D the brake job will be half the price. read more

I have been here before. Always had prompt and good service. Today I went to take advantage of an oil change coupon. $12.99 + "disposal fee." Front brakes need service which I knew but not immediate need as they confirmed. Took a very long time for the guy to give me an estimate, which was competitive with other sources. Front tires need replacement; quote for that was much higher than any other source I consulted for same or equivalent tires, including road hazard guarantee, install, etc. That also took a very long time for an estimate. Several other services were recommended, which IMO were not necessary. No pressure though; just honest information. But I would be concerned for the vulnerable who might go in for a $12.99 (coupon)/12.95 (sign in front), be naive about car care, and end up paying $140 for basic brake service, $600 for tires, and more for other recommended services. read more

Horrible experience and let me explain why I came in on 9/24/2019 to have car looked at was told needed to have all rotors done have all breaks done and have the 2 back tires replaced. I agreed it came out to a total of 945.00$! I got easy pay to help pay Well fast forward to today 10/16/2019 and I have returned several times to have the front tire looked at because it was the back tire just moved to the front! This was the back tire I was supposed to have replaced and obviously was not! The front one they took was a new one I just got in April! So no need to even mess with it! I came in today and they said because I was a easy pay customer stuff wasn't done so it could fit in budget!!! Without telling me! And there was no price difference!!! They told me how did they know the front tire wasn't the original tire because the man who I felt with on 9/24 was a floater!!!! He has no store he permanently works at and when the store mg called him he couldn't remember me so they couldn't honor anything! I was going to have to pay for a new tire at cost and wouldn't charge me any other fees except the tire!!! The tire that wasn't supposed to be on my car to began with!!!! I am beyond upset I am now stuck paying through credit line for service I didn't get done on my car and the store mg couldn't care less or do much except charge me more!!!!!!! read more

When we first rolled up the workers gave us dirty looks and asked us to move our car. My husband moved the car while I went inside. I had called to get an estimate time for an oil change and told them I would be in within 30 minutes. I was told they'll work on it by 2pm and be out by 3pm. Got there and was asked if I had an appointment and told the guy I had called and he gave me a "how is this relevant to me look". Then he proceeds to tell me that another car just got there and needed to get him out so it'll be an hour wait plus an hour for the oil change so the car would be ready by 4pm. So I thank them and left. If an appointment was needed he should have told me when I called and should have scheduled me in during the call (basic customer service). You trust these people with your car and if they can't show you some simple customer service I would not trust them with my car. I had called another Midas on Valencia before them and they were rude over the phone. So needless to say I wouldn't take my car to a Midas. So I drove two business down and got my oil change there. read more

Yup they saw me coming... I just moved to Tucson and needed my oil changed in my new 2017 SUV. The first time I came to this Midas the guys were nice, they did a routine oil change and charged me the routine fee of $13.00. When they heard I was new in town and looking for some work they even gave me some tips where I might go. About 8 months later I come in for another oil change and the same dude, the manager guy with the long grey beard said"We going to put that special blend of oil in again?, we ought to." I said you didn't put a special blend in. "Yes we did" he argues, and it's going to cost $40." He continued to argue with me when I finally relented...Stupidly. The old dude who was waiting for a routine oil change came up to me after and said "That was bullshit, he just ran a number on you." I was like "Yeah, thanks for confirming that, I'll never be back and be sure to spread the word.." So if you are A) A female, B) have a brand new car so it looks like you have $$ (I don't), and C) Dont want some wily old dude to give you grief DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

Be VERY vigilant. On a trip to help take care of an ailing relative, my car's computer alerted me to have my brakes checked. I took it to these folks and they told me that my rotors were rusted out and should be replaced. $1000 dollars and several weeks later I spoke with my usual mechanic in Illinois who informed me that he had checked my brakes before I left for Arizona and assessed them as good for another 30K miles. As an older vehicle, we both knew that some of the electronics were beginning to fail. I don't know what parts were rusted and to what degree but apparently they were NOT from my car. Classic con of a tired, anxious, vulnerable visitor. After all, who wouldn't be worried about the possibility of bad brakes with a 1200 mile drive in bad weather in the near future? Pleasant manners do not assure competence or integrity and you should be wary, very wary. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Got two years of free oil changes here through a dealership on my 06 4runner. Never really cared about paying for routine maintenance but figure why not take up the offer. Went in on Saturday before leaving town and asked them to check the spark plugs because the 4runner was surging. Guy at the desk told me that wouldn't cause a surge or rough idle but said they would check anyways. He said that "he" checked one, even though he spent the whole time in the office on his phone. And told me that the spark plugs had all been previously replaced and we're newer. Guess what Danny, spark plugs can cause surging or rough idle if they're causing cylinders to misfire. All of my spark plugs are factory, NOT new and I'll be replacing them myself tomorrow. The most bizarre part is him telling me they are new, but after reviewing the service sheet it says they need replacing and that my fuel system needs cleaning, which I got re diagnosed today by mechanics that dont bullshit you just because you are a woman. We went out of town with my finances daughter, imagine if we had stalled on the highway after being lied to about something as simple as spark plugs. Bullshit. read more

I took the oil change coupon, which Todd welcomed; ( a huge difference from mineike, who wasn't inspired to do anything and had a terrible attitude). Yes, I was given a written estimate for all that the car needed, and it was quite a chunk of change.... That said, I very much appreciated that Todd took me and showed me each of the observations. Nobody talked down to me or treated me like 'a know nothing person'. Seeing each of the problems was quite helpful and gave me a realistic overview of my car's condition. Impressed with their thoroughness and comprehensive list of needed repairs gave me a clear understanding of the noises and observations I've noticed. The waiting area was clean and comfortable; the coffee was excellent and really, the customer service was imperial! As we all know, cars aren't cheap; breaking down is even MORE expensive, so I now have a game plan and a timetable of priorities. I felt confident the information I received was accurate and delivered in a patient, respectful and empathetic manner. Friendly service and real effort was expended on me and my vehicle. also of note: I used my birthday gift card visa to pay for part of the amount due, and a debit card for the balance. Though it seems like a small thing, it's NOT!Some businesses seem quite inconvenienced by splitting up the payment, but Todd handled it without skipping a beat. Was it where I'd enjoy spending 1/2 a day??? well, actually it was quite pleasant, and Todd kept me fully informed about their progress. Had I gone home and waited for a phone call I wouldn't have easily understood why it took time to get a special part. It was the extra effort that made a huge difference to me and I didn't spend money on a part that was previously suggested by another mechanic. Yes, I could have spent less.. maybe..., but the last mechanic told me to put pepper in the leaking parts!! Thank you for the team effort making me comfortable and informed. read more

I went to this midas for a simple oil change for my 2000 ford explorer a couple months ago. When the oil change was done and as I was paying the man (Ray) said "you know you have some major problems right?" I said " no what?" He then proceeded to tell me that I had a major transmission and oil leak and my belt was about to snap. He then convienently showed me a piece I paper with a quote hofe came up with of $2,000. He said thatfor 2,000 dollars he could fix it. I said no and left. The next time I got my oil changed I want to brake masters on grant. The two guys that are always in the office there Josh & Jeff helped me out tremendously and inspected everything and said there was nothing wrong. The people at this MIDAS just want your money and way they can get it. Don't trust there judgement.
