I had the honor of meeting the owner and I had a concern about a issue with the break fluid . He checked the issue out and said I was good and he wouldn't sell me a service I don't need. That's was cool to hear. I have to update my previous and honest review about Midas. I had an alignment completed previously and purchased tires shortly after that. A few month went by and I noticed tires were wearing on the outside. So I took it back to Midas for a look around. The technician told me that I had to replace all 4 control arms . I noticed they were pushing down on the car when it was being pulled out so the verdict was I needed all 4 control arms replaced. But in fact it was under inflation that caused the wear. I will take responsibility for not maintaining my tires but to up sell me on a repair that wasn't needed is not good and so now I have to leave this bad review. After spending my hard earned money I will not return or recommend Midas to anyone. You can't put a price on trust!! read more

They have changed technicians but overall the service quality is pretty consistent. I still give them a five start based on their good service and quality work. I rather give no star. I had very bad two experience with this shop. And first bad review I had made. First time, I called to make an appointment in the morning in same day around 2pm-3-pm. The front desk said no appointment necessary, you may walk in. Then I said ok. At 2pm, I went there, the front desk said there is no available space for today. Second time, I made online appointment for next day but with no response (website said will confirm within 30 mins). So I tried to get in there in early morning around 10:30. The technician told me, the wait time properly 1-2 hours. And I decided to drop off the car then. But need to talk to the front desk or manager to prepare paperwork. Which no one is there yet. So I wait again. At 10:44am, someone came back and told me, they are out of oil. The oil may be arriving this late afternoon or tomorrow, if I need to done it by today, they need to add 10 bucks on the top for get it from other store. I meant this ridiculous. I just left. I am changing my rating for this establishment. Since getting my car serviced, my car has been running roughly. I thought I had paid for a tuneup as well as an oil change. I called the business to confirm this. Unfortunately, I spoke to a very rude and condescending woman on the phone. She kept talking over me and I actually had to raise my voice to be heard. I kept telling her that I was not trying to be contentious, I just wanted to make sure my car had received an oil change per my request. Her response was to insincerely say, "Have a good day ma'am." Worse experience of my life!! First I went for an oil change, when I left my car started acting crazy on the way home (only 1 mile away!).. my oil was leaking all over my garage floor which it never has before. 2 hours I left to get lunch and the car broke down.. my entire motor dropped in the middle of a drive thru and when I called Midas the manager Jennifer was extremely rude so I ended up contacting corporate and they had the head manager contact me .. she was super nice but could only offer me a refund on my $80 (way over priced for a little 4 cylinder compact car) and a complimentary oil change on the next car I got. Well I got a new car and called the manager to get the oil change and she had quit but referred me to the new manager to take care of it. I called to make an appointment and the store manager new what happened and booked it. The day of my appointment I showed up and store manager wasn't there but the new general manager was there and he was sooo rude he told me he's not giving me an oil change he doesn't care what happened to my car in his shop. I mean not even a shred of politeness from this guy. Dismissive and rude and with an aggressive attitude. Why would anyone go here when there are tons of auto shops in Tracy .. I brought my Honda CR-Z in for oil change . Had to wait an hour and got charged $89.45. Save yourself the trouble and go to a dealer because it will be cheaper and you will have better service. For reference: Honda CR-Z takes 3.8 quarts of oil. They have charged me for 5 quarts even after I told the lady several times, my car does not take 5 quarts of oil . Do not go here . read more

Came in for oil change and they told me my rear brakes were metal to metal. And it's dangerous to drive. Following my own knowledge and being a female I asked for a 2nd opinion and 3rd if need be. Knowing that the front should go out first, I went to les schwab and there exact words " who told you that your brakes are metal to metal???" To summarize everything my brakes were fine and when I had my brother call them back the guy said " I never took off the tire and I was estimating" . I had to take my car in for brakes, and unfortunately was not good news for me. Needed brakes and rotors, which is pricey. I cringed, wanted to cry, but went ahead with the fix. They were fast and very professional, the owner knowing we are in difficult times, gave me a pretty significant discount too. Fast forward 5 (yes only 5) days and now my car won't start. Assumed it was my starter, however when the tow truck arrived, he was able to jump start my car and told me he thought it was just the battery. Brought it in and they checked both for me. Let me just say this place is hands down best repair place I have ever been too. Brought both of our cars Ford Fusion and Nissan altima. From the first point of contact Leah manager at the front desk to the mechanics that helped incredible generous nice people. The best customer service!!! I love that they heard our concerns and helped us more than ever. I don't know if we would ever get the chance to drive our fusion. We had taken it to Aamco which never again worst place ever they try to rip us off and charge us a whole lot too and Ford delearshop trying to charge us a arm and a leg just to look at it. This place is the best!! My truck blew a coolant line on. Saturday afternoon, the day before I was to go camping. I thought I was doomed as most places won't take business that late (and then are closed on Sunday. But I called this place due to its proximity to where I was stuck on the side of the road. I called and the receptionist told me she'd keep a repair bay open for my truck and went about ordering the parts for the repair, all before my truck was even there!! Once the tow truck got my truck there, the repair went quickly but they were extremely thorough. Extremely friendly and welcoming, they know their stuff. Finding a mechanic that is knowledgeable, won't scam you and does a great job is not easy. However, we've found a place to take our vehicles to. Highly recommended!! read more

Came here for an oil change, only to be called a gang banger, cussed at, and treated below human being. As I was waiting for my car, I hear him yelling at his employee and cussing at him while he was working. I don't understand how someone can be so cruel and disrespectful to his employee, the only one working. I felt bass for the guy who was probably just dreaming with it because of the current Covid-19 situation. I personally would have walked out. I dealt disrespected and offended for him as well as myself because we both were Latinos. I presented the card we got for a free oil change, you get one free after four oil changes. The guy tells me he won't accept it. Wouldn't tell me why at first. Then tells me it's because it has to be done with the same car. My wife has brought my car a few times already, as well as hers. I, myself have been there before with my car before. I asked him for his district manager's phone number, he tells me HE is the district manager but can't produce me a business card. He tells me his name is Joe. I ask for the corporate number, he tells me he IS the CEO. He tells me to google the numbers. He wouldn't give me any information prior to me paying. So I decided to take his picture, might not have the brightest idea on my part. He completely loses it and starts cussing at me and came around the counter in my face. He tells me to delete the photo. I replied I would once he calms down, talks to me respectfully, and gives me the information I asked for. I was going to use the photo to be able to describe him to the corporate office. I deleted the picture and he was still irate. Goes back behind the counter and looks at my account. Tells me my car has only been there once before. I call my my wife on speaker so he can look up her information to verify our visits. He says she has only had two oil changes and a tire rotation there before, we've been there more than that for an oil change. He tells me the card is only good for ONE vehicle. Nowhere on the card does it specify that information. He then proceeds to tell me that I have a fraudulent card for the oil change. We were given this paper card when we first came in for an oil change. An employee comes in, I asked him if this guy was the CEO, the employee laughed and shook his head no. The man becomes more upset and tells the employee to give him my keys and he's putting my car in storage. Tells the employee not to talk to me. What?! Because I wanted to verify this information? So finally after calming down he process me out with no bill. Tells me get the f*ck out. So I get my keys, go out to my car after an exchange of words with him. I get in my car, which is out of their facility in the parking lot. I ask the employee what the guys name was. He comes out telling the employee not to talk to me and tells me to leave. I tell him I'm leaving in a minute. He starts saying I threatened shooting him. He comes up to the car and calls me a gang banger who called his "homies" to come shoot him up. Good thing I have a dad can with audio recording. I never said such thing. Never have I been so disrespected in my life. I asked if it's because I'm Mexican, because the guy working for him was too. Does that make him a gang banger too? He gets on the phone and starts yelling at someone about what happened, I'm assuming it was his DM. I parked next to the facility to start googling corporate information. He comes over after a couple minutes and hand me an envelope with the district managers number. So I called her. She was nice south to hear me out. I will be filling a complaint with the BBB. I will not use the facility while he is in charge there. read more

They even checked my tire pressure and told me about me that I needed new brakes and rotors. Awesome A1 service and if yu need your mufflers done they also do that too. Unfortunately I feel like a fool for originally giving a raving review. When I took my mini in that was acquired from a mutual client, I actually learned from Midas that the previous owner had brought it in to them before. I brought it in for a simple oil change and even paid for some of their employees' coffees when I recognized an employee at the Starbucks. When I go back on my own accord, to see what's going on as no one called me after at least an hour, the owner or manager (I assume) had me come look under the car. Said someone glued my oil pan to the undercarriage and then said that someone put a hole in my oil pan. I'm use to my Jeep, so I'm like okay this what they're telling me...I get brought up front, the owner or manager is acting like "who would do this?", you know, made it seem like a big deal. Freaked me out. I'm now in tears being told it's going to cost over 2k and if I can't afford that then I can run my credit for their credit program or whatever. Ridiculous. Took it to a trusted family friend mechanic in Dublin, cost only $80 (standard oil change). The hole was a missing drain plug, yes the pan was sealed with silicone but not that big of an issue. And the hole they said someone put in it, WAS A MISSING DRAIN PLUG! I'm honestly infuriated and embarrassed for being so generous, and a fool for believing them to the point of being stressed out and in tears. Whoever is their owner or management should be ashamed, maybe it's a company franchisee practice, regardless it's deplorable. How the hell does a mechanic not realize that the hole would be a missing drain plug? Or is it because management is there and thinks every day citizens are that dumb?? It's 2023 guys you can't continue to lie to make more money. read more

I had an oil change and brake job done today. Ashleigh and the techs that worked on my vehicle all provided excellent customer service. I was promptly greeted in the parking lot by Ashleigh which was very nice. After the brake inspection was done It was explained to me what needed to be done but there was no pressure to have the work done. While working on my car they discovered another shop had put my lug nuts on backwards and they were stripped so they informed me of the problem and replaced the damaged ones. I will and have recommended this location to others and will return for my service needs. read more

I'm very happy I found this place. Lexus quoted me $690 for my wife's car's 30K mile service. Midas did 5 out of the 6 major things (the car really didn't need a brake system flush at 30K miles) for about 25% of the price Lexus quoted me. They also did a synthetic oil change on my car for way less than Tracy Toyota and also I refuse to have my oil changes done at Walmart because they cracked the metal oil filter housing of my car and it cost me $150 to fix at a shop down the street. When I complained to the manager at Wal-Mart he gave me a $20 gift card and refused to pay for the part and labor for the metal housing. read more

The manager and I chatted, so I did not pay attention to the time. She made sure to show me the oil filter because she thought it did not need to be replace, but she left the decision up to me. Absolutely terrible service, came in for a oil change for my work van. Front desk lady turns me down because it's a fleet card said they don't take enterprise... I had to make her check it because I didn't believe her, sure enough they take it. Get in my van see that the oil light is still on, go in there and tell the mechanic that the light is still on. Goes on and tells me it didn't work this and that, don't believe him he plugs the computer in front of me and it works. This is nuts, I was forcing people to do their job. We drove from Manteca to this location simply due to the reviews. We don't have any place in town with this many positive reviews. After having been here I would say they deserve all the hype. They lady working in the office was so nice and so friendly. They moved incredibly quickly as well. They weren't able to do our oil change through absolutely no fault of their own but the service we received in the office and from the technician who was going to service our car was amazing. I've seen commercials about Midas service, but never paid attention to them until now. Tracy is about half way between where I started in San Jose to my home in Sacramento. My radiator cracked and my 2006 Lexus SUV over-heated immediately. I was able to limp to this location and expected to have to stay overnight while they found parts. Instead, they found a new radiator and had the job done in about 5 hours and it cost me less than half of what it would have cost at a dealership. Vehicle runs great. Ashley and her team were awesome and very friendly. Highly recommend them for any type of auto repair. read more

We took my car into this place for a diagnostic and a smoke test. My husband called before and asked if they were able to do these tests and was assured they would be able to test the car the next day. When we dropped off the car a different worker said they didn't do that here. Then a third worker came in and said they would be able to do it. Well, long story short, they never did the requested work and when we asked why, one of the workers copped attitude and said, "we are doing you a favor here." Um, no, we ain't your friend, we are paying you to do this work so there are no favors involved. She was so rude to my husband that he told her to give him our keys back and we took the car somewhere else.
