Frustrating experience! I personally dislike bait and switch advertising and marketing. Made an appointment for 8:00 a.m. today to get one of their online specials. Rescheduled my day to show up on time and then when I get there they try to over twice as much. Saying my car didn't qualify for that special, if that's true not sure why they didn't tell me that when I made the appointment. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G experience!!! They took care of me from start to finish. Going to an auto body shop without my husband stresses me out because they usually say "I need this and that" so I was already prepared to spend a bunch of money and leave broke and annoyed. I left only paying for my oil change that's right let me say it again for the people on the back I LEFT ONLY PAYING FOR MY OIL CHANGE!!! Not a single air filter or "magical piece" that my car somehow needed of it was going to blow up! The place was great, the guys were professional and quick. Great experience from my initial phone call with D'Angelo, and subsequent services provided by 2 skilled mechanics, Eli and Jose. I purchased a 42 year old car that had been driven only 100 miles over the past 3 years. I needed a tune-up, fluids drained and replaced, rewiring of the battery, conversion of the AC from the old R12 system, and a few other issues. Carlos and D'Angelo found and ordered the rare parts and quickly got my car into top condition. Mechanics Jose, Eli, and Austin treated my classic as if it were their own. I've sat in their waiting room listening to D'Angelo counsel customer after customer on what is necessary and what is not, in plain language. UPSELL! UPSELL! BUYER BEWARE!!! I went in for a simple oil change which should take no longer than 1 hour. I ended up waiting there for 3 HOURS because they decided to diagnose everything they could upsell to me. They even had the gall to upsell services which I JUST HAD DONE. I did not authorize them to do anything besides an oil change nor did they ask me if I wanted anything else. Complete waste of time and my utmost displeasure. I repeat, BUYER BEWARE! I went to Midas on 67th Ave and got a major repair job done. My advice when dealing with this place. They said it would take 3 days and it took a week and a half To add to the wait they didn't call to let me know why I'm still waiting plus they were adding parts to the initial repair. Buyers beware! Upfront, honest, fair price quality work and incredible customer service & communication! We needed work done on both of our cars & happened to stop into Midas. Carlos & Deangelo were amazing. They communicated the issues in a timely manner, made sure we knew exactly what needed to be done, and what we could do with or without. No gimmicks, slick talk, or scamming. We got their estimates & went to the dealership to verify the need and the correct cost for parts and labor (of course cheaper than the dealership.) The point is that they were honest as far as what needed to be done & didn't jack up the labor cost or prices for parts. They even gave us information about options to finance final costs if we felt the need. It felt like family genuine and easy. read more

I have used this Midas shop several times. Carlos, the owner, gives incredible service and they are always fair!! They keep their word and go out of their way to find and fix the issue at hand. I was having issue with my car making a popping sound when I made right and left turns. Was kinda lost on what it was and happened to drive by this location and stopped in. DeAngelo was very helpful and friendly. They got me in right away and apologized that it was taking so long while they waited for parts to come in. The friendly service goes a long way in my book and they defiantly showed they cared about their customers. The next day I was contacted by Carlos to confirm if the car was running good and I did still hear the popping noise a little so he said bring it back in. I would recommend this place hands down they really do care about their work and if your not happy they want to make it right. I really needed an oil change and stopped by Midas at Guadalupe and Alma School at 5 pm on a Thursday. They are under new ownership and although they were busy working on a big project, the new owner Carlos did my oil change himself. Quick, VERY reasonably priced (1/3 the cost of Jiffy Lube), and thorough. He also noticed that a recently replaced shock with leaking, showed it to me and explained the issue. He did not try to sell me anything; he encouraged me to take it back to the business that did the replacement as it's still under warranty. Overall, a great experience and this is where I will go for car needs in the future. read more

I made an appointment a day ahead of time. They told me multiple times it would take one hour I knew better and give myself an hour and a 1/2 and yet they ended up taking over 3 hours what's worse is they try to up sell me on breaks I do not need to the tune of $350 read more

I know when it comes to cars to always go with a man because some bullshit always goes down but I needed an oil change right away because I was going to California the next day. I called this shop the day before and spoke to someone who stated my Nissan Versa oil change would only cost $40. When arriving the guy who kept telling everyone on the phone he was the owner. I thought cool I would get good service...WRONG! He told me whoever I spoke to on the phone was wrong and that it's going to be $55. Fine I just needed it done. This whole time the guy was calling every man that went in there "Sir" and "compadre" I got called by Nissan Versa and occasionally he would call me by Nissan Sentra. I would remind him I had a Versa. When it was time to pay the paper with my car info say Nissan Sentra. That is how I know he didn't listen to me or care about what I had to say. The whole situation was frustrating. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I took my car in because my A/C didnt work and after spending $1600 to get it "fixed" i i drove it home and on the way home it started blowing hot, took it back 4 more times and then they told me something else and it would be another $1600 for just parts to fix. They refused to give me any money back and i ended up go to another repair shop. NEVER go to Midas, especially this one, if you value your money or car. Would rate -5 stars if i could. read more

I called and asked if they accepted Groupons and told them what kind of car I had, when I got there the guys at the counter had zero customer service experience. Was like "oh uhhh we don't take Groupons and your car needs synthetic oil" so that was a huge waste of time and money. So just don't go here. Not worth it. read more

Your average car repair shop. And as most car shops, expect that they will try to upsell you on other services when you bring in your car for just an oil change. Although I will give them credit for sometimes bringing some problems to my attention (brakes, cracked belt, wheel alignment). But don't expect amazing or 100% honest service. read more

I was lead to believe that I could trust these people. Took both my cars for oil changes and tried to build a relationship to ensure that I would get honest work..... NOPE I was having problems with my car starting, so they told me it may not be all the way in gear. To Be sure it was in gear and if not, Giggle the key. They even had me spend $27 dollars to have a new key cut. I took it over to them and they said it needed a new starter . Had that put in the car only to leave having the same problem. Called them back and they now said i needed a new ignition and wanted me to pay for that. They had changes staff and none of the people were there who did the last repair only a week prior were there any more. The person they had there stated there was good reason they were no longer around. I asked about the problem with my car and when he pulled up the records; the repairs were noted to my other vehicle (can't even keep proper files) Once they straightened that out, they refused to admit that it may have needed a new ignition all along and had me put a new starter in for possibly no good reason. When trying to talk with them they claimed it wasn't them there and those people are gone. Sorry people; ownership is still the same and you should take responsibility for the knuckle heads you may employ. I go the worst customer service and my car needed more work when i left that when i had started.....so much for building a working relationship. I wouldn't let anyone i knew take their care here and chance shady service the way I did. And then have to deal with attitude that it wasn't their problem because that's what they thought it was at the time.
