I almost made the mistake of thinking this location was too busy judging by the number vehicles that were in the parking lot. I'm so glad I went to see for myself. First of all, the prices here are definitely on point. What's even better than that is the staff. Every employee here is so polite, friendly, and does not attempt to make you spend more or add on to the maintenance that you asked for. My oil change, tire rotation, and tire balancing totaled less than $60. You can't beat that. I will definitely be back. read more

Extremely disappointing experience We took our van to Midas twice to have the same issue repaired, and after spending around $400 total, the problem was still not fixed. What made the experience even worse was being charged $200 for a part that we looked up ourselves using the part number, and the exact part was around $50 elsewhere. We understand that shops have labor and markup, but we were specifically told that we wouldn't get charged for the since the first repair didn't fix the problem and a $200 charge for a part that costs approximately $50 is extremely frustrating, especially when the repair didn't even solve the problem. When we asked about getting a refund, we were sent to another Midas location because we were told the manager was supposedly there. We drove there, only to find out that the manager apparently hasn't been at that location in a very long time and is actually somewhere else about three hours away. We then asked for the manager's phone number so we could speak with him directly and explain the situation. We were refused the manager's contact information and were simply told that the employees at that location had no authorization to issue a refund. At this point, we paid hundreds of dollars, brought the van in twice, and the issue still wasn't fixed. Then, when we tried to get the situation resolved, we were bounced between locations and couldn't even speak directly with the person who supposedly had authority to address the issue. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. $400 is a lot of money to spend on repairs that accomplish nothing, and the way the refund request was handled made the situation even worse. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and checking the actual cost of parts before agreeing to repairs here. We definitely will not be returning. read more

I had take my car back at least 6 times for the same repair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

BEWARE!!! Huge crooks from GM to DM Nate Summerville. Was quoted 5400 dollard for job, when I balked dropped quote to 3000 dollars in 30 seconds. So tried to rip me off for 2400 dollars right from get go. Against better judgment let them do the work. Damaged my truck even more and wanted another 11,000 dollars to fix it. Sketchy GM even put my credit card number in his personal phone. Nate the "DM of the year" refused to let me talk to his Boss. Geez wonder why you crook. read more

Went to get an oil change, the tech on duty did not have the correct tools to do the job. So waited way longer than ever before. He went to get some tools from another location and still did terrible job. 2 weeks later my oil leaked and damaged my motor. The oil filter wasn't on tight and the tech did not put the plug in tight. Took my vehicle back and the tech and management would not honor their failure.... This place a terrible business and the workers are too. As you can see look at all the reviews.... not one person has a good experience. read more

STORY TIME! Took my car in Oct 18 for an engine light. They diagnosed it as a purge valve and changed some plugs and wires along with it just to pad the price. $1100 later I was out the door. Four days later..and the engine light comes back on. I call and I'm told to bring the car back in (so they can find the "real problem")?? No thank you. I took my car to another shop not far from me. They looked at the invoice from Midas. When they call me they tell me the purge valve Midas put on....are you ready....WAS PUT ON BACKWARDS...and that's why I still have an engine light on. $318 later we got it fixed and the part put on correctly. I will be filing a complaint with the state to try and recoup the $318 plus car rental for having my car in the shop I'm out (good luck to me) because Midas can't put a part on your car the correct way. DO NOT LET THESE PPL NEAR YOUR CAR. THEY WILL GOUGE YOU A PRICE THEN DO A HALF ASS JOB. read more

So now it's been a year and they still refuse to give me a refund. I came in for a simple tune up and it led to engine failure and the shop that I got a new engine from said that the spark plugs that I paid to get changed were never changed at all!! I even have pictures of it and it looked horrible. And since they are under new management they will not acknowledge that what happened to my car. So not only did it take 7 thousand dollars to fix what they broke, but they also refused to acknowledge that they are the reason my car was messed up...not to mention the mechanic also left oily finger prints in my car! I guess I will have to go the legal route. Do not go here! read more

Came in for an oil change. I was given a diagnostic. Three members of the team explained what all I needed until I understood. I was told about the financing in which I will be using in a week. Take your money elsewhere. Went in for a quick tire replacement and they put the wrong size tire on my vehicle, only to be informed of it later at another Midas when we couldn't figure out why my vehicle was still having issues. Instead of taking accountability and fixing an honest mistake, the manager, Adam, doubled down on the phone and said "I was doing you a favor," and two months later has yet to reach back out to resolve the issue. This shop also went a step further and lied in the appeal to my AmEx chargeback, claiming I was aware of the size difference and they have "made multiple attempts to rectify the issue" -- neither of which have happened. To this day, Adam and the Midas district manager for Nashville, Steve, have never returned any phonecalls. You would think you could trust a reputable auto shop when they tell you they gave you the correct service. Moreso, you think they would make the effort to make an easy mistake right. Not so much this shop. Because I, with no auto experience, signed an invoice on their incorrect work that their store manager told me was correct, they basically have told me to kick rocks to save a few bucks. Tanking your shop's integrity over $87 - what a concept. Don't give your money to these corner-cutters. read more

Language is primitive so I make determinations based on actions. This Midas is honest and quick. At this point I don't want to take my car to anyone else. Please don't trust these crooks. After taking two separate vehicles to this location. Different issues same outcome. First vehicle, our problem was the engine light. We brought it to them because we have had our minor service done here in the past. Everyone was so nice and seemed genuine I decided this location would continue to work on my car. I was told it would take $2600 to fix it and other things they suggested. Well, the engine light is still on. We were excuse after excuse. Was told drive it for a while, it will turn off. We did what we were told but, it never turned off. Now we are told it's something else but they don't know what it is. 2nd vehicle: Spent close to $700 to get the vehicle ready for Marta. But now the engine light is on.Once again they know nothing. But, I am out of the money with the same issues and worse off than we started. When you call to talk with someone, it's always we need more money. but they will not fix it .. stay far away. read more

The worst service I've ever gotten in car repair! I took my car there on a recommendation back in July because my car was running hot. Paid $2000 for the repairs and it runs hot again not even a month later. I take it back and they find something else wrong with the cooling system and now it has an oil leak, another $1000. The car went just a couple of weeks. It's running hot again! I take it back and they say once again I have a oil leak on top of more things wrong with the cooling system. Another $1000...not even a week goes by, oil is now spewing out of my car and it's STILL running hot!! I take it back and they have the nerve to tell me that it's something else unrelated to what was supposedly already fixed!!! I was done! I just took my car and left at that point. $4000 later and my car is now trashed and all they want is more and more money. Never again!!!! read more

I paid over &$2,000 to have work done on my vehicl. They told me I needed a new radiator. After the work was done I noticed a leak under my car and I had to add coolant. I took it back to Midas and they said it was ok and added more coolant. This continued for weeks until I told them to check it again. They did and found a radiator hose was not screwed on tight. The vehicle continued to leak coolant. I took it to my new trused mechanic for an oil change. I told him about the coolant leak and asked him to have it checked. Sure enough there were 2 more areas on the transmission lines that had bad clamps. he suggested that I take it back to Midas but I told him I was done with them and would rather pay a professional to have the job done properl. If you go there I wish you luck. They will never get my work again. read more

Ahead of a long road trip, I went in to have my driver side tire looked at for a slow leak as well as brakes. Midas claimed they were fine and instead flagged that my control arm kit needed to be repaired. I was initially quoted $1400 for the service, which is on par with the market. By the time the service was complete, I was charged $2800. Two months later, Good Year flagged that the rim of the SAME tire was cracked and needed a new sensor, which is what was causing my tire pressure to fluctuate and light to come on consistently -- the same tire that Midas said was fine. Additionally, my brakes need to be changed. The same brakes that Midas told me were fine. My issue is consistent with others, in that they did not address my issues and instead identified other, more expensive issues. I truly felt like I was taken advantage of because I'm a woman. Lastly, they bank they partner with for lending is extremely predatory. The APY for my loan is 65% and I was only given four months to pay off the balance to avoid accruing interest. I feel so violated and it's such a shame. People truly should not have to go broke over car repairs. I 1000% do not recommend this location. They are so shady! read more

I've taken my van to Midas twice to have oil changed and tires rotated. The first time I was told that tread was to worn to rotate the tires.I didn't have any issues getting them rotated at the next business I won't mention.I thought maybe it was just a bad technician or they were busy.I had a coupon for oil and rotating of tires so I decided to give them another try.I specifically asked prior to the service being performed that tire rotation was included. They said yes. When I asked why the tires weren't rotated I was told by the tech that my truck was a rear wheel drive and didn't need rotation!I asked if air pressure could be checked and was told it was better they were under inflated than be the 80psi recommendation of manufacture.Don't do business at Hermitage,Tn Midas. read more

When I arrived for my appointment, I was told there was yet an hour to an hour-and-a-half wait for my oil change. Fortunately, there was a restaurant nearby where I walked to and read my book, killing time. After 90 mins, I was told my car was on the lift and it was being worked on as we spoke. Indeed, it was ready by the time I walked back to the shop and all was well. The work was as expected and they notified me of an engine oil leak but was told it wasn't terribly bad and that I could keep topping off until I purchased a new vehicle (mine has over 130k miles). I'll return to them for future oil changes as long as they keep the discount coupons coming. read more

A definite ripoff! Went in for simple break job, left and had a mechanic check Everything that they allegedly down and realize they did not put on new parts new air filter new brakes new rotors a new drum nothing yet I was charged for all of it. Went back to Midas showed them where I paid all of this to that location earlier that day and I was told that all they did change everything out and I must've put all the old stuff back on even though they never gave me the old stuff after that supposedly replace them with all new. So I basically paid $700 and sat there for four hours for them to just do nothing and give me my car back in the exact shape than it was in when I took it there. I had an appointment to get my oil changed at 1pm right before the holidays and I sat in the lobby for 45 minutes. I finally asked the guy behind the counter how much longer because I had to go back to work. He said not much longer. I asked him again and he said 45 more minutes. I told him I lived down the street I'm working from home can you call me when you are ready? He said no problem. An hour later he calls. I'm there in 5 minutes. I'm sitting in the lobby waiting for him to take my keys and someone walks in the door and he tends to them and takes their keys. I'm furious. I go to leave and and they finally say we're putting the car up right now. I'm going back to Valvoline for my oil change. read more

This had to be the most pleasant, customer service oriented business I've visited in a long time. After having such a bad experience at a business minutes before going to Midas, I was greeted by Josh, the customer service rep, and he was amazing. They were really busy but he took his time assisting guest while remaining calm and his attitude was very pleasant. The Manager Angel was really nice as well. She assisted Josh and made sure that each and every guest were satisfied when they walked out of there. They went above and beyond to ensure that my daughter's car was done and done right. I really appreciate the quality of work as well as the customer service they provided. read more

I made a 9am appt. and when I arrived there was at least 7 ppl waiting so I waited to be helped and once helped, I notified the rep that I wouldn't be able to stay and wait and he assured me that it was fine and he would call after the diagnostic test was ran. After 4 hours I didn't receive a call so I called and was put on hold for 15 mins. Finally the guy tells me everything that was generated on the test and then I asked if something specific showed up and told him I wanted that fixed. I decided to just pop up around 4:30pm and my car was sitting in the parking lot. Turns out they never ordered the parts to fix my car and tried to scramble to order them as I stood there. So I told them to cancel the whole thing. I was thoroughly disappointed and angry with the service I received!!! read more

This was my first experience going to Midas for car trouble & it will be my last. I arrived at this location at 10:30am on Friday knowing I at least needed an oil change, if not more, after my car cut off in their parking lot. The front desk rep, Lorraine, advised I would need more than an oil change as the engine cut off and suggested I get a diagnostic ran on my vehicle which I agreed. I left my vehicle there and went back home for three hours w/o any updates from Midas. I called Midas at 1:45pm & Lorraine advised she would call me back w/ an update after not finding whomever was supposed to be looking at my vehicle. After another hour passed w/ no update, I drove back to Midas and arrived at 3:00pm to see that the oil was being changed at that time. Lori advised that too much oil was put into the car, which I knew, and then stated I would need to drive the car before they ran diagnostic. Again, the car originally cut off when I first arrived at Midas at 10:30am. A diagnostic was needed from the start. Yet, I cranked my car & while it ran for 45 seconds, the engine shut back off. I went back inside the store & asked they complete a diagnostic before attempt to leave w/ the car. I left at 3:30pm that same Friday assuming they would be able to complete the diagnostic same day as there were two empty garage openings. I called at 5:30pm for an update & Lorraine advised they weren't able to perform the diagnostic because they were so busy, which was a lie. She knew I was perturbed about the situation after they had my car since 10:30am that day and could not perform a simple oil change & diagnostic test in a 7-hour time frame. She smartly stated I could come pick my car up from Midas if there was an issue. I advised I would not pick up the car until Saturday after the diagnostic was complete. I did not call Midas anymore after Friday just to see if their customer service was as piss poor as I thought it was & ensure I was not over reacting. Saturday came, no one from Midas called me w/ an update. They are closed on Sunday. Monday came, no on from Midas called me w/ an update. Today, Tuesday 4/13/21 at 7:30am, I arrived at Midas w/ AAA to tow my vehicle back home. Upon arrival I met Lorraine again at the front counter and asked if a diagnostic was ran on the vehicle. I've had plenty of diagnostic test ran on vehicles before and know what information a proper diagnostic test provides on your vehicle. She typed up a simple statement stating my engine is ruined because it was overfilled with oil, in my face, just so she could print out and present something to me. She did not charge me anything because truth be told, she knows they did not perform an actual diagnostic out of spite after I told her their performance this past Friday was unacceptable. Upon arriving home, I noticed a dent in my trunk area which appears as if someone were trying to break into my trunk. Since Friday, my car has sat in Midas parking lot unattended instead of being stored in a garage leaving it open for anyone to break into. I took it upon myself to call corporate on Monday after not hearing from this Midas store, but at this point I will take this as far as it needs to go for proper customer service to be given. I do not recommend this store to anyone, hell Midas period. The only reason I went here is because I found a cheap Groupon coupon for an oil change to begin with. Do not go to this location if you are used to dealing with people who care about their customers and always want to provide exceptional service. read more

After trying a lot of mechanics in the area I wouldn't go to twice, I finally found this Midas location. Dannette is wonderful. They do great repairs at a reasonable price. I was living in the area while my family was 2,000 miles away in CA, and when your car breaks down and you don't have family around to help you out, you feel pretty helpless with Big Bad Wolf mechanics all around.
