My car has no problems whatsoever. Came in for a simple oil change and what do u know? Soon as I drove it off the lot it started leaking all of the oil. Go back for them to fix and clean up the mess but apparently I needed some shit cuz the car isn't working properly. All of a sudden. Then they started offering all kinds of crap that my car needs. Come on now!?!? I brought my car that was working just fine and after these guys put their damn hands on it, it isn't working properly. Those place is a god damn joke. First and last time here! It took them a total of 1.5 hours for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Then they recommended a $250 ($150 labor + $100 parts) job that a mechanic friend of mine had just done. I spent $20 on parts. Drove by another mechanic shop on my way home for a second opinion and all was well. This place is a scam! read more

Terrible liars. Took my car to change the brake pads and they told me the rotors, brake pads, and the fluid had to be replaced. Asked for more than $650 when I anticipated something less than $250. They refused to change the brake pads themselves. These people will rip you off every chance they get. read more

We stopped in here for a oil change since dealer not open on Sunday and what a great experience! The employees were so so friendly and extra things included in the oil change - rotating tires etc. and even changed my burnt out turn signal bulbs was definitely a bonus ! My friend had a flat and I referred her to Midas since we usually go there. She told me that they told her the tire wasn't able to be fixed then tried to sell her a whole new set of tires. Her hubby arrives then their entire tune changes to, yes it's fixable. WHAT? Go back one week when my hubby goes in to get a flat fixed and was told it unfixable. He needed a brand new tire. They didn't have his tire in stock but would order it for him. We ended up buying a new tire elsewhere, but did we really need a new tire? We will never return to this Midas again because there is no way we can trust them. read more

I came in to get Brake and Light Certification. My brakes were fine but they of course came up with a list of things that were wrong with it. I knew I was getting getting fleeced (a little) by I was tired of dealing with the DMV and didn't went to give Madis an excuse not to issue my certifications so I authorized the work. Shorty after I picked up the car, the brakes started started making grinding noise when ever I applied the brakes and a very loud clanking noise every time I went over a bump. Obviously, these guys did something wrong. When I get it back to the shop, the manger was extremely rude and claimed this happened because some shim came loose and that it happened many times before. This is completely ridiculous that a brake system in a modern car should have any issues immediately after leaving the shop. I told the manager they seriously needed to review who they allow to work on cars because brakes of course are critical component and as such designed by the manufacturer to be almost idiot proof. It would take someone either really incompetent or indifferent to install brake pads incorrectly and apparently from talking to the manager, this is par for them. I'm a Mechanical Engineer by training and have worked on cars since high school so I know enough about how brakes are supposed to work and to evaluate their work. read more

I came in today for having my breaks and lights checked. I spoke to the guy in the front desk (bald guy) told me it was going to cost me $107.00 and will give me a $10.00 discount which was fair. He told me it was going to be done within 60 mins to 90 mins but will get it done earlier. So I thought ok that's fine. I left and walked to get breakfast in the area. 2 hours later they are still working on my car. The bald guy told me he's been calling me but keeps getting the wrong number. I asked him what phone number he entered in the computer. He transpost the last 2 numbers. And get this, he blames me for it. Really? Instead of apologizing he said i gave him the wrong number. Anyway, so thinking i was going to pay only $107.00 he added more. He said I needed to change the license plate lights and adjust the headlights. That's all fine. But the part I hate is I waited for another hour. So all together waited for 3 hours. So if you don't want to wait that long do not I repeat do not go to this place. But if do come to this place and you get the bald guy make sure he gets your phone number right. As for me, never again will I come back to this place or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in to get my brakes fixed. I had tried several other places before I went to Midas. I decided to try Midas because all the other places around there gave me an outrageous price. Over the last 2 months I've been having issues with my car after leaving this place. $2,500 worth of replacements/labor costs and for some reason my car runs worse than it did before I went in!! They totally scammed me. I'm pretty sure what was replaced never needed to be replaced. Just recently replaced the timing chain (last week) and now my car squeels, shakes, power steering is screwed and the car jumps when driving. What kind of business do these assholes run? Well recently he had a problem that he was forced to consult another mechanic on and went to Monrovia Midas on the recommendation of a friend. He was very impressed with the main mechanic there by the name of Mike who we understand just recently took over this Midas (only a few months ago). Not only was he great, but the office staff was so courteous offering us fresh coffee, candies, etc. not to mention the cleanliness of the restroom.
