Avoid this place, is a scam! They will ripped you off. Not an honest business practice, they lured you in with cheap coupon, then they will try to sale you something you don't need. They dumped your air conditioner filter in purpose to get you buy a replacement. Said is missing. read more

My car has no problems whatsoever. Came in for a simple oil change and what do u know? Soon as I drove it off the lot it started leaking all of the oil. Go back for them to fix and clean up the mess but apparently I needed some shit cuz the car isn't working properly. All of a sudden. Then they started offering all kinds of crap that my car needs. Come on now!?!? I brought my car that was working just fine and after these guys put their damn hands on it, it isn't working properly. Those place is a god damn joke. It was a great place when Ed was working there. Now it has gone to shit. Pls. Never go here. Like ever. I only give it one star just so I can leave a comment lol read more

I won't sugar coat it, I had the best auto experience and the team didn't try and sell me anything. No b.s., car repaired as promised, done on time for a fair repair bill. Kudos Midas, keep up the good work. Thanks for getting me in on a short notice read more

First and last time here! It took them a total of 1.5 hours for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Then they recommended a $250 ($150 labor + $100 parts) job that a mechanic friend of mine had just done. I spent $20 on parts. Drove by another mechanic shop on my way home for a second opinion and all was well. This place is a scam! read more

We brought our Isuzu NPR truck to Midas for a Brake & Light inspection and Smog test. We were told the 2 tests would take 2 hours, more or less. When we asked how much would they charge, we were quoted $400. That's $200 per hour for labor!!! Their prices for labor were not posted as I believe they are obliged to be by law. Long story short, we left there and found a very reputable mechanic who did both for $200. Midas is a RIP-off. Don't use them. read more

2 1/2 Hours for an oil change. The lady at the front desk said it would take 1 hour! Please! Next I will just do it myself. Half the guys are just standing around eating and smoking cigarets anyway. read more

Super nice, helpful and fast! Daniel helped me out and made my visit very pleasant. I got my brakes replaces for free because of their guarantee and everything went smooth and perfect. I even got out and on the road earlier than he told me. I would definitely recommend coming here for all your car needs. Good job Daniel and the Midas team. read more

Stopped by to see if I could get help with the loud noise coming from my tire and right off the bat I was told I needed a new set of tired, brakes and rotors. But I was going to get a discount, pfft yea right, a simple rotation and inflation from my mechanic and I was good. I'll never be back here again. read more

Terrible liars. Took my car to change the brake pads and they told me the rotors, brake pads, and the fluid had to be replaced. Asked for more than $650 when I anticipated something less than $250. They refused to change the brake pads themselves. These people will rip you off every chance they get. read more

I started my car service with MIDAS, Monrovia in 2008. It's 7 years now still going back here. Why? Because the staff are awesome and very accommodating. They don't treat you as a customer but one of their family. Keep it up guys! read more

Took my Nissan Maxima here the other day because I was having a lot of issues. Drop my car off and they call me back within 2 hours to let me know the damage. I let them know what I can afford and they worked with me on what needed to be fixed right away car was done that day I am very happy with how Its running now. read more

My friend had a flat and I referred her to Midas since we usually go there. She told me that they told her the tire wasn't able to be fixed then tried to sell her a whole new set of tires. Her hubby arrives then their entire tune changes to, yes it's fixable. WHAT? Go back one week when my hubby goes in to get a flat fixed and was told it unfixable. He needed a brand new tire. They didn't have his tire in stock but would order it for him. We ended up buying a new tire elsewhere, but did we really need a new tire? We will never return to this Midas again because there is no way we can trust them. read more

They stripped a bolt on my wheel and they want to charge me $191 to fix something they messed up. The part only costs $16.00. Then they said they would pay half. The last thing I want to do is give them money. I'd rather pay the full price and give another shop my money. read more

We stopped in here for a oil change since dealer not open on Sunday and what a great experience! The employees were so so friendly and extra things included in the oil change - rotating tires etc. and even changed my burnt out turn signal bulbs was definitely a bonus ! We will be coming back and highly recommend! Thanks ! read more

Smart, reliable experts who know what to do when it comes to automobiles. A definite come back when I need my car serviced.

Came for oil change on Sunday afternoon when most of oil change stations are closed. They performed free inspection of my car and informed me that my car need new brakes asap. Great customer service, reasonable prices, and knowledgeable and experienced mechanics. What else to wish for? Great service!I am definitely coming back again! read more

I came in to get Brake and Light Certification. My brakes were fine but they of course came up with a list of things that were wrong with it. I knew I was getting getting fleeced (a little) by I was tired of dealing with the DMV and didn't went to give Madis an excuse not to issue my certifications so I authorized the work. Shorty after I picked up the car, the brakes started started making grinding noise when ever I applied the brakes and a very loud clanking noise every time I went over a bump. Obviously, these guys did something wrong. When I get it back to the shop, the manger was extremely rude and claimed this happened because some shim came loose and that it happened many times before. This is completely ridiculous that a brake system in a modern car should have any issues immediately after leaving the shop. I told the manager they seriously needed to review who they allow to work on cars because brakes of course are critical component and as such designed by the manufacturer to be almost idiot proof. It would take someone either really incompetent or indifferent to install brake pads incorrectly and apparently from talking to the manager, this is par for them. I'm a Mechanical Engineer by training and have worked on cars since high school so I know enough about how brakes are supposed to work and to evaluate their work. read more

The service was good, didnt take to long to do the work. The staff were great in helping me out. I do reccomend this place to everybody

Brakes are still squeaking.... I don't trust the work they did. It was shady from the beginning.

The one thing you do not really expect in an auto shop is insanely high guest services skills. That is not the case here. Daniel and Sako were beyond helpful in taking care of my issues and finding the best deal possible. Thanks again for everything. See you soon. read more

Came here to get a full synthetic oil change and air conditioning service. Very nice staff and informative. They found the issue in my AC and helped fix the problem! read more

The service here was great. Dropped off my car at 10:30 and it was ready by 12. Definitely coming back!

Came here with a flat tire 30 minutes before closing time and the had me out before close, very fast and punctual, would highly recommend!

I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years and I have had nothing but fantastic experiences. Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They will do the work at a very fair price and be completely honest with you about the situation pertaining to your car. The work is of the best quality and always done in a timely manner. I have been to other Midas locations and this is the best one in my experience. The owner and master mechanic, Mike, is excellent, fast, and understanding - just like his employees. Kristina, the young woman in the office, is extremely friendly and will talk you through every question you might have. I will recommend this location to everyone! read more

Great service! Came in for an oil change and didn't have to wait. Lovely staff and good pricing. I'll be coming back!

The office guy Daniel is very good at good job! He is very mild mannered and does a great job at explaining what service needs to be done. They have good candy in the waiting room! read more

I went to Monrovia Midas and I had a great experience! Everything from the prices to the service was wonderful. As I walked through the door I was greeted by the Manager, Mike. I went in to get my brakes fixed. I had tried several other places before I went to Midas. I decided to try Midas because all the other places around there gave me an outrageous price. The price Mike gave me was great and he explained to me all the aspect that goes into the service. The car was ready within an hour. Overall I had a great experience at Midas. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to have their car serviced. read more

Best place ever! This location of Midas has great price, great service and wonderful customer service. :-)

I came in today for having my breaks and lights checked. I spoke to the guy in the front desk (bald guy) told me it was going to cost me $107.00 and will give me a $10.00 discount which was fair. He told me it was going to be done within 60 mins to 90 mins but will get it done earlier. So I thought ok that's fine. I left and walked to get breakfast in the area. 2 hours later they are still working on my car. The bald guy told me he's been calling me but keeps getting the wrong number. I asked him what phone number he entered in the computer. He transpost the last 2 numbers. And get this, he blames me for it. Really? Instead of apologizing he said i gave him the wrong number. Anyway, so thinking i was going to pay only $107.00 he added more. He said I needed to change the license plate lights and adjust the headlights. That's all fine. But the part I hate is I waited for another hour. So all together waited for 3 hours. So if you don't want to wait that long do not I repeat do not go to this place. But if do come to this place and you get the bald guy make sure he gets your phone number right. As for me, never again will I come back to this place or recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place is a JOKE! Over the last 2 months I've been having issues with my car after leaving this place. $2,500 worth of replacements/labor costs and for some reason my car runs worse than it did before I went in!! They totally scammed me. I'm pretty sure what was replaced never needed to be replaced. Just recently replaced the timing chain (last week) and now my car squeels, shakes, power steering is screwed and the car jumps when driving. What kind of business do these assholes run? I'm pretty ticked and going to head down in the morning and I want my money back! I definitely do not trust them to touch my car ever again. ****DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!**** read more

I use them all the time for oil changes. Honest, reliable, professional service every time. My husband's company also uses them for their vans and vehicles and are always happy with the cost and service. read more

I can't thank you enough for your hard work and for saving me! While traveling to Southern California (8 hours away) my car broke down on the Grapevine on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend. So grateful for everyone here and thank you so much for your excellent customer service! read more

Recently went in for their cheap oil change and tire rotation. Excellent service no hard sell to buy extra stuff like jiffy or ez lube. Went back a couple of days later with a different car to have a flat tire fixed again no hard sell they patched the tire and i did the oil while I was there. I really like this guy mike as he doesnot try to sell anything extra. read more

My husband has a collection of classic cars that he rarely allows anyone else to work on other than himself. Well recently he had a problem that he was forced to consult another mechanic on and went to Monrovia Midas on the recommendation of a friend. He was very impressed with the main mechanic there by the name of Mike who we understand just recently took over this Midas (only a few months ago). Not only was he great, but the office staff was so courteous offering us fresh coffee, candies, etc. not to mention the cleanliness of the restroom. All around one of the best mechanic shops we have ever been to. Beverly Hills service in Monrovia!!! read more

Sako and company take amazing care of my personal cars and all of my company vehicles. They are efficient, professional and extremely courteous. Being a business owner means limited time. We literally have to make one phone call and we are given a drop off time and pick up time. With over 50 services provided for us there hasn't been one occasion when they were late. As a matter of fact they usually have our vehicles completed early. Thanks Sako and your entire team for being so amazing. read more

Was quoted a reasonable price over the phone but when I got to the shop was charged a different price. Apparently I was charged for something that wasn't even itemized on the invoice. So it turns out that the competition had a better price. Feel like it was a trap to get me there and then hike up the price. read more
