The service advisor who helped me from the moment I arrived until the point where my car was completed and ready to go, Brad, was excellent. He was very informative and helpful about the repairs for my car. Very straightforward. 10/10 JC, the service manager, made sure I had the best experience possible. He assured me that their technicians would do the repair to manufacturer specifications, and they will always stand by their work. If I had any issues, he told me to come back, and they would make it right. I had no issues at all with the work done at this dealership. I was unable to get the name of the mechanic who worked on my car, but I believe his name is Nick based on information from their website. I usually do not trust dealerships with any work outside of warranty work, but I just might be back for future service. read more

I don't think I recall ever having a time when a company never calls their client back. It's interesting, and I can see why this dealership has such a low rating. When looking for a car, I got endless emails and calls to come in. I'm not a fan of going into the dealerships to get worked, so I did everything online. I ended up buying my car at another dealership. There were some warranty issues with my car, so I decided to come here for the service. After looking at my car, they couldn't replicate the issue. Fine.... but the issues persisted and I told them I would need a loaner while I leave the car a little longer so they can spend more time with it as the issues don't always arise immediately. Working with Miguel, he told me they didn't have a loaner available at the time, but that one would be available coming up. I was assured I would be put on the list and then called when available so I can bring my car in. Two month went by, and no calls. After 2 months, I called back and spoke to Miguel. He said I was on the list, and that one should be available in 2 weeks. He confirmed he'd call me to schedule a date certain so I can bring the car in. Well, it's been about 5 months now, and still nothing.... crickets. I love how responsive this dealership is when I'm actively buying a car, but when I needed service.... I was treated like my business didn't matter. My experience has shown me that Miguel and this dealership do not prioritize customers. I'd pass and go to a different dealership. Unfortunately, Acura of Alhambra was the closest, but they closed. I also didn't feel the love there either. I've since taken my car to Acura of Glendale, and so far, they've been outstanding so far. read more

I really dislike coming to this Acura. The only reason I do is because Acura of Alhambra closed. 3 times I have came to this Acura, and out of the 2 I've had a horrible experience. The first time I came to get my maintenance, and the Advisor that attended me try to get me to pay for my service. I told him he needed to check again because Im covered. He insisted I wasn't, until he checked again and agreed I was after and he apologized. Then Friday my husband took our car to get maintenance, we have a newer one with only owning it for 1 year. The service was almost done and Alan, told my husband the service was going to be $108 around there. My husband let me know and I told him that was not possible. My husband kept going back n forth telling them there's no way, we have warranty. Alan was not budging. He claimed he does everything by the books and he is honest. I sent my husband a picture of our contract where it clearly says we have warranty for 48 months. Again Alan wasn't budging claiming we had bought warranty that was for a certain period of time. Where he got that information beats me. For someone who is honest, he obviously came up with that and i wasn't buying his BS. My husband again told him to check. I told my husband to ask him for that information in writing. Once Alan got the print out he says How odd, you're covered. Wow would you look at that. When my lease on my Tesla was set to expire, I explored options. Deciding between the Acura and a Lexus, the salesperson took us immediately outside and identified which vehicles were available at the lease price. We looked a several options and went home to figure out which one we liked. We came in the next day and selected a vehicle. The salesperson did not pressure us and did not play games with the numbers. Car buying can be an unpleasant experience but this was not the case. read more

I followed my Acura guy, Simon, over here from another Acura dealership in the SGV. Turns out he and some of the other guys came over en masse from my previous Acura dealership in 2018. My service guy (JC) also came over a few years ago and is now the service manager, if I'm not mistaken. If I ever have any issue with my vehicle, JC or one of the other guys gets me in and takes care of it right away. Of course, it's usually just routine maintenance since Acuras and Hondas are built to last. This Acura is about 5 miles further away from me than my previous one but I choose to come here instead because of the great staff here. Every 3 years, I'd come in and trade the 2 cars out for newer models on a lease. I chose to keep the last ones and finally traded them in for a new model last year. I'm glad I did. I know your car is only supposed to get you from point A to point B, but it should bring you some joy, shouldn't it? Life is too short to be unhappy so I'm enjoying my new car and I never dread coming in. I have no reservations recommending Thomas Acura to anyone I know. read more

My wife and I both drive Acuras and Hondas, and actually have dealership nearby our home in Anaheim Hills. But I work in the West Covina & Baldwin Park area, and have purposely chosen to continue to bring our vehicles for service, maintenance and repairs at Thomas Acura. Service Manager Mark Giles is professional, personable, and the #1 reason we have actually even continued purchasing Acura/Honda products, versus Lexus/Toyota or even entertaining getting a Tesla. I usually stay away from dealerships. In this case I did my homework, I decided to go here for the 4.9 rating and also the most ratings of any Acura Dealership in pretty much Southern California. To be very clear my 2 stars rating is solely based because one advisor by the name of Bradley Jackson. He was on point from the first time I called, first visit, and until things went downhill. (he wasn't working the day all this happened) I brought my vehicle in for mechanical repairs covered under my extended warranty. That was taken care of. I drove my car from their dealership to Pasadena, once there I got into my car after doing some shopping (1 hour after having my car back). My vehicle displayed a blinking check engine light color yellow, and it would not drive past 26 MPH. This happened around 3:30PM roughly 1 hour and 1/2 before Acura would close on a Saturday 12/27/2025. I contacted the dealer, they told me to bring it back, and that I should probably tow it to avoid getting stranded in the middle of the drive. I asked the service manager if he would reimburse me for towing my vehicle? The answer I was given is what corporate companies say. "If we check and it's not our fault we can't" I said fine, even though my car was last serviced by them and now it was acting up with issues. since I've had my car, I have never had issues (besides the required warranty work I brought it in for, which was a gasket oil leak. I was working with the warranty company to get it approved so they can replace parts) I drove 26 MPH on the slowest lane from Pasadena just so I can make sure I got to the dealership before they closed. When I got there, they took my car in, but I was also told they did not have any loaner cars available. (you are a dealership, but I guess this can happen) so, I didn't have a ride to use while my vehicle sat in their lot for 2 more days. I know they don't reimburse Lyft's or Uber's, since they don't reimburse having your car towed back to their dealership after they caused the issue. I didn't bother to ask. I took 2 extra days off work just so I can stay in Los Angeles to be able to pick up my car on that next Monday the 29th. They also did not have an Office manager onsite that day I had issues. (maybe this would have helped) I spoke to JC I believe his is the service manager, but he could not help with the concerns I've expressed here. for a dealership that has the most 5-star ratings and the highest rating on google of any Acura Dealership in southern California, this is surprising. The Customer service on the floor between the Operator, Bradley, and Amy at the check-out desk was excellent. The rest, I want to think it was coincidence, but no one had solutions or answers to the issues at hand in real time that occurred that day. read more

Andrew was the only one that attended us when we arrived. He was rude but was the only sales person outside. While I was looking at a car he didn't want to approach us until I chased him down. But even when I asked him questions he would be short with his answers and push me away. I came to Acura thinking Acura is a premium brand, but have reps like Andrew representing them while looking unprofessional with head phones on and dirty clothes. Overall didn't make us feel welcome and didn't work with us as serious buyers and told us to go shop at another dealership. Which is exactly what I'm doing now. read more

Not on the dealership, but the only thing that was bugging me about the car was on the passenger side of the bumper where it meets the top of the car was misaligned and moving. Turns out Acura didn't tighten one of the screws on this bracket at all, you can remove a push pin and pop it up to tighten it real quick. The damage took place in 2007 or 08, shortly after I bought it. They fixed the broken tail light but the bent bumper stretched the paint in that area. A couple years later an oval spot appeared in the bumper, exactly where it would have momentarily bent by the impact. But because of the time that had elapsed, your business refused to do anything about it. The only time this car has been hit was by your staff. They called me and told me they'd need to keep the car for the weekend. Look further back in your records and you'll find and if you don't then your staff failed to document the incident. read more

I've been fortunate to always have great service here starting with Ed & then 2 other service attendants. My first time I just walked in right before closing for an emergency service & Ed was amazingly helpful & friendly. Made me feel comfortable & relaxed. Told me not to worry he would take care of me before he left fue the night. I left my car & was offered a loaner. I have nothing but good things to say about the service at this place, always A+ Make appt if you just want to walk in, drop off & get your car to get serviced but even when I haven't had an appt service never made me wait long to be checked in. They will wash your car if you ask them. It's a dealership so don't expect cheap but you get what you pay for and it's worth it. I've been helped by 2 other gentlemen here & all very polite. Customer Service. I called the Parts department to ask for a cost on a 2016 Acura IlX passenger rocket panel. Friendly gentleman gave me the price and told me how long it would take to receive the order. He didn't know how much was the labor cost, so he transferred me to Service. I asked the man how much is the labor to install a passenger rocket panel or side skirt and he said he doesn't know what that is. How do you work in Services and not know what that is, and asked proceeds to ask me if its front or rear. Then he said $350 for labor and hung up the phone. This review is from am experience in 2022. I Took my car to get a B12 service and they called me back saying my car has things that need to be done. I was already warned that they might try to upsell by coworkers. When they called they said I needed all these services to be done to my car. (Please look at photo). I was shocked and said no. Reason why is because I just bought my car used a year before it was hard to believe I needed all that. I told them no it was to much money. And the service guy said he recommends it especially since it can mess up my car and that I have a great car with good mileage that I shouldn't take the risk, So I took it to metro Acura and they said it did not need all those services. So to get another opinion I went to Acura Alhambra and just told them to just check for everything including all fluids, break pads to make sure my vehicle doesn't need anything . I did not want to tell them what Thomas acura told me because I wanted to make sure. Sure enough they said everything was good I did not need anything. I than told them what Thomas acura told me and they said they can speak to the mechanic to double check it. Two mechanics came to speak to me and told me nothing is wrong with my car, it doesn't need anything. I showed them what Thomas acura sent me and they were shocked and showed their corkers passing by how they checked all that and it was good. Reason why I am writing this review now is to warn everyone about upsell and get a second option. Now I'm scared to even go in cause what if they mess up something on purpose to get it fixed. My car needs a B12 again and guess what. My car still did not need anything else to be done other than them letting me know I have about 8 Months left with my break pads but they still look good. I drove into the service dept with my vehicle and after they completed looking at my car it was unable to be driven out of there. The mechanic Dave made a mistake by breaking the part and they were refusing to correct it. They recommended me to tow it out. I had to argue and fight my way for my car to be fixed. They were adamant about charging me $1350 to fix the part they broke that I didn't even go in there for! I am completely and utterly unhappy with their service. Great experience working with the service department at Thomas Acura. I was out last Friday night when I rolled down my back window and it would not roll back up. The next morning I headed over to Thomas Acura and I was a bit anxious about not having an appointment on a busy Saturday morning. When I arrived, I was greeted by multiple people and told that it would be just a few minutes before someone could help me out, and in no time Mark G. was available to assist. Mark worked quickly to get me checked in and in less than an hour he and his team already had a diagnosis, had done a warranty check, had already ordered the part, and had a date by which the part would arrive and the repair would be completed. To top things off, without any prompting, Mark anticipated that it would be a challenge for me to have my vehicle exposed with the down window throughout the rest of the holiday weekend, so he had already picked out a loaner for me to use so that my vehicle could stay with them. As promised, I got a phone call a couple of days later that the part had come in and the repair was complete. It was a quick handoff once I arrived and I was also pleased to see that they had actually washed my vehicle. I could not imagine a more seamless experience. When I visited Thomas Acura for the first time with the intention of buying a car because of all the amazing reviews that I saw I had high hopes. Then I spoke with the sales department, the rep, the manager, and supposedly even the manager asking the owner. They wanted a mark up no matter what. To be fair this was at the end of 2023 so dealers were still trying to lie to customers about mandated markups. So of course I took my business as well and got the car I wanted with no markup. Just last week I took my car to Thomas Acura for a simple warranty fix and I finally understood why Thomas Acura has all these 5 star ratings, it's being of Mark from the service department. He gave me the feeling that he actually cared about a customer (shocking these days, I know) and took care of my in the most friendly way possible. For the record, my vehicle was purchased in early February, before the shutdown. I was purchasing a used, certified SUV and I was paying cash. I was referred by a family member who knew the Finance Director, Raquel and I assumed the experience would be better. No such luck! The dealership was empty and that should have been my first clue. I test drove the car and told them that I would advise in a day or two. I advise the Sales Manager, Simon I was going to take the car and pay cash. The Finance Director had quoted me a price on the extended warranty and when I confirmed the price with Simon, I was told another price. Mind you, I was at the Credit Union getting a check ready. I asked to speak to the Raquel, as she knew I was going in to get the car and meet her there. She didn't go into work and didn't have the courtesy to let me know or inform her Staff of the pricing she had offered me. After about 2 hours of back and forth, I was given the price originally quoted and brought my check. As mentioned before, Raquel was not there and Simon sent me to Gus. He was to fill out the paperwork and take my check. He had no idea what he was filling out and made several mistakes. He listed a lien company, though the car was paid in full. He filled forms out incorrectly and repeatedly said, Raquel usually handles this stuff. After about another hour, the paperwork was completed and now the arduous task of locating an envelope to place all the documents in began...not a joke. He couldn't find an envelope or anything branded with Acura to hand me. I was given a folded over envelope that he found laying around and placed my documents in them. Next, the keys were handed to me with the original paper tag. No branded key chain or Thomas Acura or even Acura anything... I do international marketing and this is less than stellar customer service and/or marketing! This is beyond terrible. I have owned Lexus for 30 years and this was my first Acura! Not the best first impression. I was given a 2 minute tour of the car and sent on my way. When I arrived home, I realized that the paperwork had a lien owner listed as the Credit Union. I emailed and called Gus and I was told it wasn't an issue. I also reached back to Simon and Raquel. It took another week to get that issue resolved. To date, I have not received one call, follow-up or survey from anyone at Thomas Acura. I had an issue with the transmission and I took it to Metro Acura in Montclair. I also reached out to Thomas Acura's owner via email and nothing back either. I contacted Acura's online complaint form on 7/11/2020. I was issued a claim # and here too no response! After paying that much money, cash up front for a certified RDX, I expect some sort of communication and service. This was the worst by far at any dealership I have ever experienced. Save your money, frustration and go to another dealership. They do not value customers, time or relationships. No wonder they sell 80% less than their counterparts...no accountability. It starts from the top (ownership) and trickles down. To date, I have had NO sales follow up, service department follow up or even a call from Simon, Gus or Raquel. Caveat Emptor!
