Midas on east new circle has very poor management and the guy Joe behind the desk had an excuse for everything I waited 30 minutes alone while he sat and played his games on phone then when I asked about progress he chewed peanuts while in my face, he lacked customer service skills, poor communication, transparency. I will never take my car there again because of this experience, I had to continuously bring the conversation back to business, and also hope no one else does either by time he did get to me I had a brake vibration concerns and he came back to tell me he was some inspector in another state and had the position to pull my car off the road he said, also, he never addressed my brakes he said they was fine but I know it's not common for my whole car to shake and was very adamant to sell me new shocks and tires my tires were 6 months old went to tire discounters and they said if I would of went any longer I would of had safety problems the manager is very unprofessional and he should not be running a shop that handles people's life's every day, unacceptable. read more

Let me preface this with important background info, there was a snowstorm a few days ago and the roads are somewhat cleared but it's dangerous to be out in certain areas. It's very slippery, icy, and snowy. I am super bummed to be writing this. I called this location about 420, 430 knowing full well that they closed at 6. I explained to them that I had a donut on my car and that I needed a repair and asked for the cost and about how long it would take. The guy was super nice about it. He gave me all the information I needed and then I said I'm not sure if I'm gonna come in but I'll try to get there by 5:15 or between 515 and 520 if I'm able to come in he said "OK that's fine. We'll play it by ear. No problem. We're open till six." I call at 5:25 letting them know I'm about five minutes away. It just rings. I call again no answer. I figured maybe they're working on a car. I'm not sure so I get there and my GPS has me go into the parking lot of the car dealership directly next to it. I called them again to let them know I was just having to make a U-turn and again I am really trying to be communicative with this place. I make a U-turn and then get there and the parking lot has not been plowed which is fine. It's snowy, it's understandable. The bays all have cars in them but it's very dark. I go up to the window and it is now 535 Ish and even though the open sign is still lit, the inside is dark; there is nobody there at all. I have come out in snowy weather with a donut on my car because I need my tire repaired, with two children, and the guy told me come on down no problem. I'm really disappointed with the service. I was able to get a repair at the Tire Discounters on Winchester rd a few miles away. With 20 mins to spare until they closed. I'm about to go write a review for them. I called before my appointment to verify they could work on a BMW, and clear the check breaks light. It turns about, after they had done the service that's not true. I still have a red check break light on my dash and a warning alarm and safety notice come up when I start the car. They said I would need to go somewhere else to have it turned off. It cost $1300 for breaks rotors and sensors which seems extremely high, even more than what it would be at the BMW dealer. They didn't take much care with my vehicle either like tossing my wheels around, leaving them face down and sitting things on them. read more

I'm from out of town. Stopped in for an inspection on something for my car. Jason was polite, courteous and knowledgeable.

Went by Midas with what I thought was an exhaust leak on my Jeep. Ended up being a cracked manifold which is covered in my dealer warranty so I need to go back there to get it fixed. They were fast and efficient in diagnosing my issue. They have a waiting room with a small TV. CHIP'S one of my favorite shows as a kid was on while I was there. The manager here, is Ernest. Don't let his menacing face scare you. :) Actually he really nice and did many extras to my car (I came in for $19.95 oil change.) They rotated my tires for free, topped of all my fluids . Turned of the maintenance light. Even checked the air in all my tires, including my spare. These guys are straight and wont' rip you off. My service technician was Jordon, and he spent quite a while trying to track down the low tire pressure on my dash. It was the spare tire. All right so I am glad I am near a computer to write a review on this place. Yesterday I made an appointment to get the Midas Touch Maintenance Package- some kind of promotion for $19.99. Everything sounded cool there.I had talked to a guy named Dave, suggestion made by another reviewer and so I thought I would be good going in knowing someone that someone else had a good experience with. Nothing wrong there. I went in today and I met Dave. Pretty awesome dude. He immediately welcomed me and had taken my keys to fix the vehicle. After about 30 minutes, he came back and he wanted to "show me a few things on my car". When I saw my car up there with all tires off, I was not alarmed "AHHHHHHH" -_-. BUT then he showed me the passenger side and he told me that something was nesting in what was called the "Cabin filter" for the AC. Now I am not sure if it really was a nest or not, but I seriously felt I was being swindled (looked like a balled up piece of newspaper). I still have yet to research videos of animals actually making nests in there. No idea why I have this doubt, but I have heard about mechanics offering to do other things other than what the customer wants done, just to make more money off the customer. Logically, I guess it made sense to point out since, looking back at what the maintenance package is, it includes checking everything. Other things apparently needed to be fixed were a belt, tires (of course, still need to change these), brakes (Tire Discounters told me they were okay), and a rotor. The total cost would have been $1000. Hell no! I just said I wanted the maintenance package and all that crud cleaned out of my cabin filter. So we go back inside and he tells me I would be looking at $107 total. I said I was on a budget because I am. Anything between $75-100. This is where Dave was reasonable. I was hoping he would have said I will do it for $100, but he said $75. Thing is, really, I do not trust many mechanics, especially with all this shiz listed out, unless I see them doing what has to be done. Granted, even if I have to get my car fixed and throw away $75 every 6 months, not a biggie. For some reason I really felt like I could have been swindled. The package was $19.99, he charged me for labor (of course, I agree), and the cabin filter. No idea if the stuff was actually cleaned out as my AC still does not work (then again it stopped working a while ago) and no idea if they changed my filter and oil (see how would you know if you did not see them?). I do know they at least filled air in my tires because the driving was better coming out of the shop than going in. You really do not know. What I am trying to say is you have to be smart. $75 is an average for getting anything on a car fixed in one trip. $19.99 for an oil change and $40-50 on labor. That is understandable (everyone needs to get paid). Mechanics make $80/hr. and I get paid $20-30/hr. as a brand ambassador. $75 was definitely a bargain. The oil/filter change was fast as hell though. I still have my doubts. Since I have the receipt of all things still needing to be done, I have leverage on other mechanics to match it. David and his team do top notch work, in a timely manner, and at a very fair price. There are mechanics who have worked at this same location for 40 years-- that says a lot! My husband and I always appreciate how communicative David is with us about the status of our cars and work performed on them. I went in to this shop to get a quote to fix an issue I was having with my brakes. I already knew what the issue was and figured I would be in and out fairly quickly. Unfortunately the shop manager had another idea in mind and that was for me to replace my entire front braking system even though there was nothing wrong with it. I read on Google reviews that others had this same experience but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Never going back and I suggest you don't waste your time either. read more

My wife and I were traveling from Ohio to Tennessee when we started to experience tire trouble, close to Lexington. We stopped at a competitors shop to have the tires checked. They gave us a quote of $750 to replace the left rear wheel hub assembly, within a matter of minutes. They would not even take the wheel off without agreeing to the replacement. With the unexpected expense we called around, to find a more reasonable price. We ended up at Midas and they gave us a similar quote. They took the time to test drive and investigate further, and found that the only thing wrong was the left rear tire was not put on properly. After a tire rotation, which was done right before we left for our trip. They put the tire on correctly and let us go with no cost. They were very nice and understanding, we would recommend their service to anyone in the area who may need a repair. read more

I dropped in without an appointment on a Saturday. I was greeted by David. I explained my need for a brake job. He immediately explained the Brake Inspection process. Following the inspection, he explained all I needed done along with a quote for the price. Within a couple of hours I had a wonderful set of working brakes again. The waiting area was clean, orderly and pleasant. David offered me a water or a soft drink. Then, as an extra bonus, he offered me a slice of pizza. My brakes were finished in a very timely manner. I drove out of the parking lot feeling very good about the morning. I would highly recommend this Midas shop. I will definitely return and will also send friends there.
