Third time here in January 2025 they acted like they could get my car on the rack in a couple of days. 4-5 days later their story was that their staff was on a big job that took many hours and some were out sick. Well that rang a bell, bc i then remembered that they had used that exact excuse in an earlier encounter. So I had to have my car towed a second time up the street less than one-quarter of a mile to Tire Discounters (TD) where I had an account bc TD told me they have mechanics idle. Sure enough, TD repaired the problem promptly and THE NEXT DAY I had my car back running better than ever. SCHELLER LIED TO ME TWICE and that is shameful that they don't care how long you have to wait in line to be serviced bc we depend on our vehicles to make our lives work smoothly. Went for an oil change. Told me my car was unable to drive later that day and I needed to pay the $1000 to get it running again. I fell for it and went out of state, only to hear that wanted to cut my cars fan off and replace it because they couldn't get a belt they took off back on, which would got another few thousand dollars for parts and labor. I took it to stuggarts, they fixed it for free to "earn my business". Highly recommend going there instead. The guys were friendly, but can't help that I feel like I got scammed hard. read more

Don't trust them. They will damage the mechanics and electronics of your vehicle. Tell you that they will fix it. Get the your vehicle back in the shop tear it apart then claim it wasn't their fault and charge you to continue and fix it. Then you pick your vehicle up again and the problem will be fixed but not as good as it was before you took it to them and you'll also have a new mechanical or electrical and they'll say oh bring it back in we'll fix it. And it won't be their fault again after the vehicle is taken apart. And the cycle will continue. Going to get my brakes fixed somewhere else now. Because my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor with no resistance before they start trying to work. Full brake reservoir, brake pads were new, and my foot met solid resistance. And I also didn't take it there for anything related to brake work. But here we are. The value of service is more beneficial for them than the customer read more

Long story short, our Range Rover ended up there for coolant leak. It was a lemon we bought from carvana. Was first told they recommended we change hoses, water pump then told changing hoses was mandatory. The company paying for expenses would not compensate for charges for a vehicle we had 6 days. So it sat there for a month. I called to try to get it taken to another business for a second opinion (as requested by company that was in charge of making repairs). Was told when I called that the repairs were done, come pick it up. I came and got the car. Right when I got in I noticed the coolant level was low. I asked the person at the front desk and was informed nothing was done to the car at all. They informed me I could drive the car to get another opinion and filled the radiator up with coolant. I ended up breaking down within 7 minutes on a very dangerous part of New Circle Road. I had to have the car towed to the new place. I was then informed there were numerous pieces of the car in a box in the trunk. They didnt even put the car back together and told me it was safe to drive. I've called and talked to Greg. He avoided me for 2 days after I left multiple messages. He then said he would call me back once he "figured this out" but never did. Do not use this company. read more

My husband and I were driving our Sprinter camper van from Athens Georgia back to Port Townsend Washington state in mid March. While driving through West Virginia during a snowstorm, our warning lights for ESP and ABS (traction) flashed and the radio would not work. The warning lights kept flashing all day, so we pulled into Lexington Kentucky and found Scheller Automotive. These mechanics were absolutely wonderful! The shop got us in the same afternoon we dropped in on them! The staff were extremely courteous and professional, knew SO MUCH about Mercedes Sprinters, and proficient in explaining what was wrong with our engine. Believe it or not, our engine battery was the original battery for this 2006 T1N Sprinter . The mechanic replaced our old battery with a bigger and more robust battery, and we were on our way. I brought my car in twice to fix one issue, and then when the issue was still not fixed after the second time, they wanted to charge me an additional assessment fee on the third visit. I recommended this shop to my mother to get her van fixed. After they had it for two weeks they finally called and said it was" running like a scolded dog." It was picked up on a Friday evening. Even without an appointment, my car was seen in a very timely manner and the problem was taken care of quickly so I could continue with my day. Helpful and friendly staff. Went in to get an oil leak fixeed. Said they fixed it and charged $72. Next morning there was still a leak same size. Went back in, said it was now transmission fluid. Had to go back in a third time for 4 hours and got charged $875 of which $53 was "check for oil leak again". Called and they said it was a different oil leak and they have to pay technicians to check. Obviously if it had been checked correctly the first time I wouldn't have had to spend the extra time going back and forth and been charged an additional fee. I called these people and told them I had a fleet truck down at a customers house because the starter wasn't engaging and I was having the truck towed to them. They then quoted a price of $785 to change the starter. I said I'll pick it up. They said you owe me $91 I said, you want me to pay you $91 for quoting a price for what I already diagnosed for you? They said if you want the truck it's $91 Held it for ransom on my diagnosis. HMMMM Had it towed to STURGILLS CARE CARE where the work is being done for $600 Never again will any of my vehicles go to this place and I will tell everyone I know that asks where I take vehicles about this place charging people without really doing a thing. If you don't like getting jerked around, stay away from this place. read more

Had my car serviced there, got an oil change and alignment. Once my car was ready, said I needed 700 dollars of additional services. One of which was a lubrication of the doors. Really?? As soon as I left the shop it felt like no alignment was performed. Oil change I'm assuming was done. As well as the check engine light came on. Called to express my concerns. They couldn't have cared less. Wanted me to come back to scan my car again. No check engine light on a Monday Tuesday oil change, Wednesday check engine light comes on, Thursday call and complain, best advice was to bring it back in for a scan. Don't really trust those guys. They lost a customer. I have two automobiles that I USE to have serviced over there. No longer the case. Disappointed in this shop. read more

FOR MERCEDES BENZ OWNERS :They are really nice guys and are pretty friendly. However, they over charge you for the labor. My car was worked on a lot less than an hour and I got charged more than an hour of labor. If you ask them for the diagnosis they will put the car in for an hour and then charge you $120 or so bucks. If you get the same diagnosis from tire discounters or even a Mercedes benz, they will charge you like $50. Good customer service but a total rip off read more

They did major head gasket repair on Range Rover. The vehicle had several engine codes come up. They tried to sell me new valve covers. The issue was the gasket was seated incorrectly. They did not stand behind their work. read more

My fiancé is out of town and his car was leaking oil . I sent it there . He had two rear axil leaks, and a oil gasket repair . Also need four new tires with an alignment . They saw me coming a mile away as a female who knows nothing about cars . They quotes me 3800.!!!! I may not know anything about cars but I do know to call around and get other quotes. Read some of the negative comments. Disagree. I live in Lexington and own 6 vehicles from 6500 Truck to Mercedes s550. They have done an outstanding job for me every time one goes in. Never treated poorly. Have always told them to fix anything that might go bad. Hate to be on the road and something go out. They ALWAYS call if something is found and talk about best approach for cost efficiency. I don't go to a Doctor because he is cheaper and I don't send my cars to someone because they are cheaper. read more

They were true to their quote on parts and labor which was half of what a competitor quoted me. They took the time to review with me what they saw on inspection and did not try to push me on getting things done which did not have to be done right away. on 12/20/2017, I took my 2005 Benz ML500 for 90k service; 2 things-Check Engine & ESP Light on. They said there was a sensor to be changed, which was costing about $400+, which will fix Engine light, and $1500 [yes 1500], to get the ESP light as Steering Angle Sensor needs to be replaced; and on top of it, they said my brakes are to be replaced immediately, I said since it is holiday time, I can't afford all, just do the Check Engine light one & Brakes; will do the ESP one in new year. The bill was $400+ for brakes, $400+ for sensor & $100+ for diagnosis, adding to $947.86. With my limited budget available, I paid. The Engine light was not on when I left; after driving home for 10 miles, the next day, it came back up. But due to holidays, it fell lot lower of my list of things to do.. On Jan11 th, I went back and told the lights came back immediately, so the issue is not fixed, you need to fix it. They said, they will run a diagnosis and will let me know, as something else could have broken, as they insisted they have fixed the problem and Benz always breaks down crazy after 90k miles. So, after running diagnosis they came back and said there were other issues which had caused the engine light to come back on, which needs to be fixed, plus tires are bad etc, all together, it will cost me $3500 to fix these, plus $1500 to fix ESP light.. so another $5K.. My head went on spin.. I was mad; said will look at it later, give me the car. They said I had to pay $109.95 for diagnosis, else will not give the keys. So, for a fault they didn't fix, and to run to see why they didn't fix first time, I paid $109.95 and got the car back.. Then came the interesting part.... On 1/16/2018, I went to another mechanic, who I have used 10 year ago in Palambo Drive. They said they will do a 90K check & will call me.. they said all are looking good, they said they have to clean a sensor which was dirty, which fixed Engine light; they did wheel alignment and that fixed the ESP light. They topped off few fluids, said the vehicle is in a fantastic condition; Cost $124.95..[no diagonistic fees, fancy words]. Drove straight to Lees Tires, got 4 used tires for $200 [with about 30K treads in it]. Now I have driven for a week and more than 1000 miles in last 1 week, went on a long drive to Dayton; my vehicle runs like a charm.. TOTAL COST $325...... When these Cheaters asked for $6K!!! What a rippoff folks... Don't go to them... Don't even touch them with 100feet pole... read more

DO NOT take you vehicle here. I took my Jaguar for AC repair after a referral from someone. After 6 trips there and $1500+ spent, my AC is still not working and they tell me that I will need to give them another $900+ to get it working. Parts that have already been replaced are leaking again, that they put on. They stated they did not have any notes of making repairs on the service ports the 1st time, but later admitted that they did and then admitted that they buy the cheapest aftermarket parts for the car, "to save the customer money." Now they have lasted as long as they can and are now failing and need to be replaced again. I have asked numerous times to speak to a manager or the owner. I was told that they would let the owner know to give me a call, but never received one. They also advise that there is no other person to talk to regarding my issue, however they want me to keep dishing out $$$$$. NO thanks. You have ripped me off more than enough and should refund my money. read more

They are really great with engine work and I'm happy with the results on what they did with my car. However, they plugged my tire when I had a nail in it, but I found out later that you are never suppose to plug a tire on a commercial vehicle. I had to have another place repair the tire not long after. read more

They will not print out or show you the computer scanners results before they start working on your car, they will not allow you to see any electrical parts that they replace. They are great mechanical mechanics but extremely inferior mechanics for electrical diagnosis and work. Nice people though. Please do not make a mistake and think that they are capable of working on projects that should be only worked on by a certified Mercedes dealership. The dealer may charge $30 more per hour, but ALWAYS will complete the job in far less time. If the published time to work on a task says 1.5 hours, that is what they will charge. Scheller assumes that you the customer does not have access to the publish times for each tasks and will most always charge you at least double that time. I assume that they are trying to find ways to pay for all the advertising that they have been spending in the last few years. read more

Don't use these guys. They'll rip you off. Went for a tuneup and they messed up my transmission test driving after tuneup. Said it was my fault somehow? Charged me $2300. And it messed up again! Took it to my mechanic and found the control module out of place! That Fix it! And that's only half of it! read more
