It has been A WHILE. The last time I came or decided not to come was because I had seen a review on here about rusted rotors put on someone's car; however, I have been seeing good reviews lately for this location, a month out, on Google Reviews (so that must mean something). I ended up taking it in today for an oil change. I was estimated a time of 11 a.m. because they had SO MANY PEOPLE! I ended up getting out at like 8:42 a.m. This speed alone, I can state, has this place faster than Firestone (introduced a competitor). They also, by the receipt, inspected my tires, put air in my tires, topped off fluids, etc. for no additional charge. Compared to Firestone, Firestone actually puts an inspection package and charges the customer (probably to do the same thing). Oh and another thing, here, they actually get you to sign off on work being done. Firestone never does this. Total came out to $101.36. I am pretty sure an oil change of this price is expensive, but I needed it completed. Firestone does it for around $51.98, but their "Complete vehicle inspection plus" is $59.99 and they add it to every invoice without consent. So really, I feel like I saved something. read more

I recently brought my car to the store located at 2080 Bryant Rd for an alignment. When I dropped it off, there were no warning lights on the dashboard. However, after the alignment was completed, four different dash lights appeared. When I spoke with the staff member who handled my appointment, he claimed the lights were already on when I dropped off the car. I then spoke with the store manager, who said he trusted the employee because he has been with the company for more than 15 years. I also asked if any photos of the dashboard were taken before service, and I was told none were. Not only that, but they also charged me $92 for just tightening two nuts. This experience has been very upsetting. I brought my car in to correct an issue, but instead, I left with additional problems that I now have to resolve. I am extremely disappointed. read more

General Manager Joey Keys was fantastic! I was traveling back to my home in Florida through Lexington and staying at a nearby hotel, with a surprising flat tire when I came out in the morning. I got my car towed to Joey's shop at 1030am, and he had the car in a free stall inside 3 minutes. An hour later I was on my way. It was a fairly simple fix, though he and his technician made sure everything was good to go, and for the right price. While it's unlikely I'll ever need to stop at this particular shop in Lexington again, what I found impressive and amazing is that Tire Discounters keeps a fantastic guy like Joey doing all the great things he obviously does for his customers. These guys were great! Everyone was really professional and explained everything that was going on with my vehicle. I signed up for emails so I could take advantage of oil change coupons (I highly recommend doing that) and chose the Bryant Station location because I could easily walk to either a restaurant or the Starbucks while I waited. The pricing was great and eventually I'm going to need to go back for a new tire. They pointed out an issue with one of my back tires explaining that it's better to replace sooner rather than later so that's on the to-do list. They made the process nice and painless. read more

My recent experience at this location in December 2019, left something to be desired. Had several things done to my vehicle, but I will highlight the work involving my tires - rotation and alignment. I wanted to make sure I was ready and safe to drive out-of-state for the holidays. I'm about 30-45 minutes into my 4 hour drive, and my low pressure warnings go off. I assumed it was the cold temps. No. Turns out, I was missing 10 pounds of pressure in each and every tire. Tire Discounters never even checked my tire pressure. This is basic. I feel like this is a safety issue, too. It's now February 2020, my tire pressure is still okay... so not an issue with my tires leaking. This was the first visit with my new vehicle after the included dealer services were done. I used to go to this location with my old vehicle when Elige was the GM. I guess quality of service has changed. Unfortunate. read more

They were amazing! Our rental vehicle broke down on us and needed to get back on the road. They were very helpful and informative. Joey was amazing! They got us in and out within a couple hours. The alternator needed replaced. He even came to get us personally so we didn't have to get an Uber there. When we gave him a tip to show us our appreciation he wanted to give it back. I have been here twice to get my vehicle repaired. The first time I went I informed them that I had an issue with my windshield wipers and (long story short) they told me that they had a recall on them and to take them back to the dealership. I called the dealer directly after and informed them that I needed to get my windshield wipers fixed. They informed me that there was no recall. (Must to have been miscommunication of some sorts, not a big deal). The second time I went was just recently. I called them the day before to schedule an appointment for oil change, brake check, and rear wiper blade replace. I talked to the gentleman up front and he asked for my enterprise card (Fleet Vehicle). I had the key tag (Has the same information on it). He turned me away and was quite rude telling me that he needed the wallet sized card. I verified again today that it has the same information on it. After my Dad (80 yo) spent approximately $2k on Tires, Brakes, battery, etc... he brought the car back for the third time for Loud Squeaking Brakes. Today I went with my dad to ask what was done and was told by the salesperson that "There was nothing wrong with them and that it was Normal". Ok seriously, on what planet is this person living on where he thinks it is normal for brakes to squeak? As a family, we have collectively spent thousands of dollars at this location - it used to be a reputable location but I have not felt well served in some time now given the new management. I got a flat tire on the front driver's side on the interstate from a pothole on the way home from work. I put the spare on and headed to Tire Discounters at around 5:20pm. Knowing they closed at 6 I tried to get there as fast as I could with a spare on. I arrived 5 minutes before closing and said I know you're about to close but could you look at my flat tire because I couldn't see any damage to the tire and thinking maybe just the air got knocked out of it. One of the employees inspected it and found a gash near the rim itself. He also saw that the rear tire on the driver's side had a bubble forming on it. He noted that wasn't safe to drive on. I was planning on getting new tires anyway in a few weeks because these were the originals from when we bought the car and had nearly 40,000 miles on them. We went inside and he listed several tires that I could purchase and they were all in stock. He said he could get me back on the road within 30 minutes. I was really surprised that they were going to perform the work right then and there. I was thinking the whole time that I would have to make an appointment to come back later. So the four guys that were left there got me in and out in a half hour. Can't say enough about the service these guys provided for me. I thanked them like crazy. I have always taken my two vehicles to this particular Tire Discounters and always have had superior service but this was well above and beyond any service I have experienced. I took my van in to have the head gaskets repaired and they had it for two whole days. It cost me $900! Just recently, I noticed oil leaking again and this time o took my van to a friend. He said the gaskets were never changed. He changed them in 2 hours plus did more for half the cost. This place is a rip off. read more

This is the third time I've attempted to schedule an appointment with Tire Discounters at least a day in advance. In each instance, I have had to wait more than an hour and a half. This time I waited a full hour and a half, left, went and ate a sit-down meal, returned, and they still had not moved my vehicle from its original parking place. What's the point of an appointment? This is my first review for this location, but you can see another review of mine for the Nicholasville Rd. location where the same problem has occurred. The last time our vehicle was serviced at a TD, the dipstick was left out, giving us a "service engine" warning that then cost us a $70 fee at another store. UPDATE: It's now 5 hours later, & they have been telling me my car is "next" for four hours...With an appointment. UPDATE 2: I was able to pick up my vehicle before close, and Danny and Shea were understanding and waived the maintenance fee...which was great because it quit working again before I even made it home. read more

Brought my vehicle here and told the manager to let me know what it needs. He said it needs all new rotors and a balance/alignment. My ticket was almost 500$ and when my car was "ready." It still had the same rear rotors. I took it back after realizing this and told them, "you charged me for front and rear rotors and didn't replace the rear." They had a mechanic come outside and look at it. Despite the rotor being covered in rust one day after they were "replaced." He then asked "did you drive it in rain." I replied, "just barely sprinkling, but yes." He then said "yep those are new. The water made them rust like that." Two weeks later, Upon further inspection at Fast Enough Performance. It was certain, the rear rotors were not replaced. I had to pay hundreds more to have them "replaced"... for real this time! At this point, I was at a loss for words. This tire discounters location has lost my business and my trust. So watch out, if you are a hardworking, honest person, who doesn't know much about cars. They might charge you for labor and parts without even doing it... #disappointing read more

I made an appointment through their call center for new tires, and was given an estimated delivery date of a few days later (Wasn't a big deal for me, I wasn't in a rush and I wanted a specific kind of tire). Joey called me the next day and said he had the tires in and that I could come in that day to have them installed. Slow leak in rear tire. Tire Discounters busted the sidewall on my tire. Technician told me it was dry rotted. 29000 miles on 2017 truck. He said they could put me on a new tire. This appears to be the business model for tire discounters. I told them to put the spare on. I went to another tire store and was told tires were not dry rotted. When I got home the GM had called and said they would give me a tire. He did this because he knew the technician was lying to cover his mistake. Stay away from Tire Discounters. I use to go to the tire discounters on Winchester road, If I were you I wouldn't. I purchased tires from that location early last year, and had to keep taking my car back weekly for several months. I brought my car to this location one time and they had my car fixed within 15 minutes!!! I also like the fact you always see the same faces at this location. This story is from last year (pre-COVID). I have thought about this SO MUCH over the past year and it just still upsets me. I came in for an oil change. At the time, I had a foster baby with us. It was taking a long time, so my husband met us there to wait with me. After a while, a woman came out to tell us that my brakes needed to be changed. They had JUST started to squeak (so I know that they are still more than okay to drive with), but I still asked how much it would cost. She gave a standard price but it's way more than I'm willing to pay since my dad changes them for free. So I respectfully declined. She seriously looked me dead in the eye and said, "Well... okay... it's just that we are worried about her and her safety if you tried to drive home tonight." And pointed to my baby!!! She tried to use the nonexistent threat to the safety of my baby to convince me to change my brakes. Awful. Seriously awful. We were appalled and I've shared that story several times since then because I think it's important to recognize that some of these places will say anything to convince you to buy a service and you should know which ones to avoid. I've been to several TD's in Lexington and I love every other one I've been to. Just had a bad experience at this one. read more

Another great experience at this location, I'll keep coming back! Bought 4 new tires for my Honda CRV, scheduled me next day and only took an hour. Then my Tundra was due for a oil change/lube a few days later and free rotation/balance for tires I bought at Tire Discounters several years ago, scheduled next day, they said about an hour and a half, walked to breakfast and it was ready when I got back ahead of time. i took my VW jetta in to this TD about 1.5 hours before close last night experiencing some grinding noise and shaking. they took the car in immediately, diagnosed that the grinding noise was not from the tires or brakes then balanced and rotated the tires all before i got back from Meijer. outstanding service and friendly people! great job. will be back. read more
