Disappointed Doesn't Even Begin to Cover It I've been a loyal Midas customer for years, bringing my car here for everything from routine maintenance to major repairs. But after today's experience, I will not be returning -- and I'm honestly shocked I even have to write this. Here's what happened: We took my mom's car to Tire City for a routine tire rotation (they offer free rotations and patches if you buy tires from them). But as they started the process, they stopped immediately after trying to remove the rear driver's side tire. The lug nut was overly tight, and they didn't feel comfortable proceeding -- they suggested we go back to the last shop that worked on the tires: Midas in Langhorne. That's when everything fell apart. At Midas, the manager refused to even look at the car. He said they couldn't verify who last worked on the tires because he "couldn't see the locations" on the CARFAX report. When I calmly questioned that -- because I know CARFAX absolutely shows that info -- he raised his voice at me. When I asked him not to speak to me like that, his response? "If I was raising my voice at you, you'd know it." Completely unprofessional and honestly, a bit threatening. To make matters worse, my mom (who's in her 60s) was treated dismissively the entire time ; it was my moms car -- and this was after I explained that we were just trying to resolve a safety issue. The front desk staff acted like they couldn't hear us, responding with repeated "what?"s and generally acting like we were an inconvenience. I was told there were no service records for her vehicle in their system -- even though she's had multiple services done there and still have paper receipts to prove it. Frustrated, I went home, pulled up the CARFAX -- and lo and behold, it clearly lists Midas Langhorne as the last place that serviced her tires (following a brake replacement). So not only were we turned away without help, we were also lied to. I'm still shocked at the complete disregard for customer loyalty and basic decency. I've never been treated this poorly at a shop, and to see this level of disrespect -- especially toward my mom -- was beyond disappointing. To whoever manages this location: Do better. Your long-time customers deserve better. (And if you're reading this and thinking of visiting -- fair warning, the manager we dealt with was a shorter, middle-aged man with gray and black facial hair. Service was good to change 2 tires, alignment, and oil change. Expensive but they were efficient. I was disappointed in overall attention to detail. After service was completed tpms turned on and I had to turn right back to the center. They stated that it was bc one tire wasn't filled...I thought kind of strange since they just fixed tires. As soon as I got 20 miles away the light turned on again. I called before closure and they didn't offer a reasonable fix for a long weekend. I had to take the car to my tire guy in north Jersey who quickly assessed the issue and corrected. I appreciate them getting this taken care of quickly but ultimately was not worth it since I had to have it reassessed and addressed by someone else. They did offer a north Jersey location - but it was an inconvenient location...and at that point I wanted to make sure it was done correctly. read more

My girlfriend took her car there recently to get it inspected and an oil change. She was told to pass inspection, she needed two front control arms, both rear shocks, and three new tires (I had replaced one when she got a flat). They told her all that to pass inspection was $3,800. She called me in tears and I knew something had to be up. It's a 4 year old car with 42k on the odometer. It only gets driven to and from work. I talked to the guy from Midas and asked him to do the oil change and that's it. I took the car to my mechanic (Willow Grove Auto- amazing people BTW) and he told me that all she needed was definitely 1 new tire and some new wiper blades to pass inspection. I asked him to do all three tires and whatever else it needed. Total came out to $380. My mechanic found nothing wrong with anything else that Midas was talking about. SHADY .Wife took car in for oil change in December . Was told by Rob C service writer that due to tire wear that she needed complete front and rear struts.JS was service tech. She decided to wait and talk to me . Total cost for bill almost 3000$ . Took car to get inspected this month showed my mechanic midas repair order and asked him to specifically check struts in question. Mechanic inspected and told me nothing was wrong with struts. I've had my fair share of terrible mechanic experiences. This location came highly rated by Yelp, and I was not disappointed. The staff here is knowledgeable, kind, quick, and trustworthy. I definitely felt like I received top notch service, and I never once felt like I was being taken for ride for unnecessary services. Making an appointment for my inspection was quick, and when I needed four new tires (like desperately, obviously needed), they gave me several options and changed them on the spot. I went there to get my new TPMS sensors programmed to the car. When I got there he went straight out to my car in the parking lot and did it with no difficulties whatsoever. I was there for probably 10 minutes and he fixed what I needed done. He originally said it would cost around $20-25 but let me go on nothing but a review online. Have been a customer for 25 years so it pains me to see what is going on at this location. Went in for inspection and they did an oil change that wasn't requested. Recommended I replace all tires, which I declined and have driven in for two more years and which still pass inspection. Final straw - they had car in for inspection and advised I needed rear shocks to pass - i approved and then got hammered for $350 for $70 worth of shocks. 400% mark-up for the 2 shocks. went in for an oil change and to get my brakes done on a basically brand new car off the lot with 13k miles. the Midas crew ended up finding a lot more "issues" on the car. me being niave I end up spending the $1600 to get all the repairs they said. after leaving my brakes are still shot! save your money go to a local garage and stay away from here! read more

Tried this location with a maintenance coupon. The gentleman was fair with answers & advice, but the woman was a bit unknowledgeable and depends upon sales training to push for selling you extra BS. So it ends up being like a auto dealership that you have to be on your guard or you will pay too much. I still debate whether I'll return. I believe in being polite to folks so I'll probably look for another shop without the sales pressure. It only takes one bad apple! The "mechanics" aren't the most professional either. read more

I came here one time for a deal they had for oil change and tire rotation. They ended up stripping my lug and charging me for a new one and they told me the type of oil I needed for my 2002 Honda Civic wasn't included in the deal. So I ended up overall paying double what the deal said. If you need your oil changed, go to jiffy lube down the street. read more

I was supposed to get work done at NTB when I arrived they said they overbooked appointments and to figure out another day to come. I immediately called Midas and Michelle said come right over they told me that NTB was wrong and that it was actually a very dangerous tire. 10 minutes before closing time they did a whole bunch of work and made my car safe for my infant child to ride in. I have used this location since moving to bucks in 1989. Years ago was owned by Fred Bloom he owned 3 locations. They have done tire repairs, exhaust repair/replacement and tune ups. They have their own line of parts available but on occassion they must use after market parts but they are honest enough to make sure you can afford the repair before it's done and that is rare today. The majority of the staff is good but as anything in life there is always one that is off center. I do not want to slam him but you need to make sure you understand everything that needs to be done before work starts because if you want them to " cheat " it's their licenses on the line and they won't do it. read more

I used their online tire-buying system to get a quote for tires and installation and to set up an appointment, fully expecting to hear later that my very good quote on a popular tire wasn't available for some reason or other. Instead, I was charged exactly what my online quote said, and got reasonable prices on alignment and an oil change tacked on at the beginning of my appointment (both necessary, which I knew ahead of time). I was notified about two routine things that will need to be done soon but I didn't feel overly pressured. Because of that I'm much more likely to go back there to actually have those things done. Every conversation I heard between the staff and a customer or between staff, was open, friendly, and clear. The waiting area is combined with the customer service area: free wireless, tv, Keurig machine, bathrooms, and space for about four different people/groups of people.
