I took my car in for an inspection at 10am on a Saturday . They called around 4pm and recommended new tires and back struts. I refused and they said they would call me back to pick up my car. I waited and waited and waited untill 7pm. I called but they closed at 5pm so after waiting all day I called on Sunday and they said I can pick up my car. Went there for inspection, every time I go I express that I have white interior and to tell the people cause there is always grease marks left in my car, got my inspection and grease marks left in car and my inspection stickers- one was right the other horizontal on my windshield. Then I go home that night my oil light came on, got done at Mavis, husband checked it and bone dry, luckily my light came on, had to add close to 5 quarts of oil ( my sticker from them from last time said I had 2,000 more miles to go. Called specifically to talk to regional manager, the manager of the store called said I wasn't there since October, I said no, he said oh you were here in February but you brought your own oil, I said no I didn't, he replied oh we had to order your oil . he said you car must be burning oil, I replied no it isn't had it looked at and nothing was wrong with it, they said I'll give you a free oil change and fix your sticker. I said I would be back for my inspection sticker to be fixed but I'm never coming back there again !!! They could have ceased my engine or blown a head gasket. read more

Yesterday, I noticed a cover hanging close to the ground under my vehicle. I wasn't sure what it was and wanted to get it checked quickly before it fell off on the road. Poor planning on my end. I called at 3pm the day before Memorial Day. They were able to squeeze me in and give me 2 new tires.

Found a nail embedded in the edge of the tread in a Run Flat Michelin. Drove over to Mavis on Route 1 across from Oxford Valley Mall because I had had a good experience at a different one of their tire havens in Richboro, PA. This one was closer to home. The place was moderately busy with four bays with cars in varying degrees of repair or tire changes. Good sign I thought. Walking in, a manager approached to ask if I had an appointment. Didn't know I needed one, but he was cool about it. A few minutes later we went to look at my tire problem, saw the nail sticking out, advised me it had to be replaced due to where it was, and returned to the front desk to see if it was in stock. It wasn't. But, he would order it and have it by Saturday sometime. He said he would call me when it came in and we would switch out the bad for the new. Sounded like a reasonable plan. I left there satisfied. What was one day? The call never came and I ended up visiting a different tire center that also had to call for the Run Flat to be delivered to them the same day, for a few bucks less. They did call on arrival and the swap out was accomplished later the same afternoon. Really appreciated their effort and friendly professionalism, even if their name wasn't Mavis. read more

8/24/22 Rim damage after getting new tires. Regional manager says its no way its from his machines. That its all on me. That it is old and weathered damage. I looked at the entire truck before dropping off and there was no damage. After talking with him he offered a credit off future work. Why would you offer a credit if you did nothing wrong your machine's didn't do the damage??? He won't make it right just brushing me off. His "rim guy" will look at pictures he took, but he knows already that the answer will be not his fault he said. I asked to do the right thing fix or replace. This happened at the Woodbourne Rd location in Langhorne Pa. I also have pictures and videos of the damaged rims. read more

He not only informed me of the correct amount of air pressure to put in my tires but he ensured all my tires had the correct amount of air by checking them individually. The best service ever. I would highly recommend Mavis as rated number one.I previously had an oil change on my car in December they informed me they check for everything and found I needed shocks and struts. I can't imagine anyone rating this Langhorn location with anything other than 5 stars. I have been dealing with the manager, Sean, for 5 years now and I have received nothing but exceptional service. I first went to Mavis after my local mechanic tried to convince me I needed $3,500 worth of repairs on my daughter's $5,000 car in order to pass inspection. Sean and team reviewed the car and came up with $1,200 of repairs and the car has been fine ever since! This team in Langhorne is honest, trustworthy and dependable. If there is something they cannot fix, they let you know why and how to move forward in a reasonable and affordable way. I went to the store in Delran and paid 600.00 for 4 tires a wheel balance and alignment. The guy stared the job and then said that I had to come the next day to get the other tire there was only 3 after we paid. I came back and they put the other one on. When I left it was my moms car she got on the highway to nyc and the car was shifting left the whole way. She took the car to mavis in Brooklyn on Utica and the guy said that the wheel alignment wasn't done or the balance and he had to put it on and do all 4 tires. I'm mad because we could have got hurt with the spews on the highway and had to drive very slow. This is not good service I paid in full and feel like I wasn't treated with the courtesy by letting us know they couldn't do it. Went to Mavis Tire because rear tire light went on for my VW Jetta. Had a tire warranty from Mavis. I dealt with Tony, the store manager. There was a small hole in middle of tire that they put a plug in. Tony was very honest and upfront about hole in middle of tire. He was extremely professional. I am Leary to go to any gas station, since I have been rips off before by a gas station, with small a small hole in tire, and was told I need a new tire. In the past I bought new tires for my wife's car at this location and had great service. I had a problem about a year with losing air in one tire. They figured out that there was a problem with my rim and fixed it. Today I brought my truck in because I was having a problem with my center hub cap. 2 young men who work there took the time to figured out my problem. We all know that feeling when your running a few minutes behind schedule and get ready to leave to discover a tire that's low on air, It's never the highlight of your day. So since I haven't changed a tire since the 80's I appreciate being able to drive somewhere close to home that's quick, dependable and doesn't try to sell you an off brand with the highest mark up or profit margin. I discovered Mavis on Lincoln Highway between Goodwill and Buffalo Wild Wings, it's clean, easy to access and has great prices. Most recently Brittany (Service Manager) was at the desk and offered a kind polite greeting and she provided prompt service, conversation between caring for customers and a no pressure fact filled estimate for new tires since my SUV had been loosing traction she identified I really didn't need new tires after evaluating the tread and sidewalls she suggested adding some weight to the cargo area and sure enough Im getting better traction. So after just 20 minutes I'm driving away with a low cost repair and all the tire pressures checked and it was actually less time then I was quoted because again we all have experienced the it will be about 10, 15 minutes till we can get you in and 45 minutes later your car hasn't even hit the bay. I'm a car guy and a bit of a control freak especially when it comes to my vehicles. I don't have the right tools to balance a tire at home, so I am forced to use a shop. Mavis in Langhorne (formerly STS) is the only place I'll go now. I had them put some tires on my new truck and they had some issues - the tires were heavy and hard to balance. They rebalanced them for me at no cost and are committed to replacing them if they don't stay in balance. The manager Josh is a car guy, and the foreman Ken clearly cares about his customers. If you need tires or state inspection (at a much more reasonable price than the dealership) don't go anywhere else. Talk with Ken and they will make sure you are taken care of. read more
