I have seen the reviews here certainly more good ones than bad ones. And I guess if you follow the rule that you can't, please everybody then OK. But when it comes to my point of view and my family's point of view, this is the absolute best place to take your car. My father went there for many many years. I have been going there too, and I have absolutely not one single complaint about anything that they've ever said or done. HESSKI 2 is the absolute WORST!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! I brought my car in on for a Check Engine light issue, as well as the car just shutting off while driving. Two weeks of repair and $750 dollars I still had the same problem!!!! Gary indicated the last shop wired the car wrong and I needed a bunch of items for my old car including a engine computer that I didn't need!!! Gary is extremely incompetent as a mechanic!!! He kept assuring me that the car was drivable, and it was not. After waiting patiently for two weeks, I picked up the car, drove a mile and the car cut off, nor was he able to fix the CHECK ENGINE light and it was still on. He said it was a computer cliche he could not fix!!! Took it to another shop and they fixed it!!! Gary was the one that wired the car all wrong and they was able to fix the CHECK ENGINE light and it was off and driving good now. I'll be taking them to court!!!! Went in today to get inspection and oil change. I have been a client for several years, and have always rec'd great service. John is great and honest to a fault. Will advise you of any pending or critical situation. It is up to the customer to make final decision, and trust the information. Anyway, the car was dropped off around 7 am, went to eat breakfast with the wife, and when I finished breakfast, car was done. Passed inspection and was advised of upcoming problems, and as I do some work myself, was more than pleased with this information. Will have to say that I have dealt with cars a long time, and while the industry is expensive to the consumer, this group of merchants are top notch, and will have my business for years to come.......... If I could give Hesski's an A+++++ I would! My family has been bringing various cars here for about 20 years. I just moved back to the area and have begun taking my cars here as well. I brought my car to the auto shop across the street from my work in Bala Cynwyd, they told me I need new front control arms, new brakes and rotors, or they wouldn't pass my car for state inspection. The guy there shifted numbers and problems around about 5 times, just enough to make me question it. I brought my car to Hesski's for a second opinion, dropped it off at 10am on Monday and it was ready by 5pm the same day. They checked the front control arms and called me to say that they had absolutely no idea what the first auto shop was talking about. John told me that 1 bushing was just starting to crack but that it could be years before it actually becomes torn and that their was 100% nothing wrong with the control arms including any other bushings. I was shocked and told him that it was great and to please go ahead and do my emissions and inspection then and to please replace the little washer clip that had popped off my door hinge over the weekend. At 5pm John called me and told me that the car was complete, inspection stickers posted and that he found nothing wrong with the car. For all the work they did, it only cost me $53 (the other auto shop cost me $84 for emissions and state inspection which they failed me for bogus reasons). When I went to pick up the car, I asked John about brakes and rotors too and he told me that they were starting wear but that they would fine for another year or so. I am soooo glad I trusted my instincts and Hesski's! They saved me over $1,000 in repairs that my car never needed. I owe them far more than this review, but if you want professionalism, honesty, reliability, punctuality and great service- Hesski's is your place! They don't care what car you have, where you work, what your gender is, how much money you have or anything else- be kind to them and they will be kind to you and your car(s) forever! read more

The first time I went to Hesski's was to get my first (used) car inspected before I bought it. They didn't steer me wrong then, and they haven't in 20 years since. I used to live a few minutes away. Now I live almost an hour away, and I still go there for service when I can. Unlike some places that recommend unnecessary repairs, these guys only tell me what actually needs to be done. By not trying to make a quick buck, they've cultivated a long-term customer in me, and I know when they say something does need to be done, they aren't conning me. I've recommended Hesski Service Center to friends, family and colleagues alike. No one ever tells me I steered them wrong. When trust is important (and in automotive repairs it should always be), I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I grew up brining my car here and now that I live about 40 mins away... I still will bring my car here. They are beyond friendly and always get things done right. A month ago I took My car to Firestone for a new wiper blade bc it was around the corner from my new house... They locked my keys in my car. Yesterday I went to pepboys for a new battery 45 mins later the battery is too short and my old one was installed again... This morning I went for a new battery and even though I had to wait, they put a rush on the part they had to order and the battery came up too Short but somehow they made it work.. I cannot think of a better place to take care of my car. Thank you for 12 years of wonderful service I appreciate everything you do!! read more

If I could give zero stars,I definitely would. They have had my Mother's car for a week. She called asking about it for the first time yesterday. She was told it hadn't even been looked at & to call back later. When she did (several hours later),she was told the same. It is her only transportation, so my uncle stopped by to ask. He was told "my Mother was being very annoying by repeatedly calling".She has only called twice in the week they've had it! This is ridiculous. No customer service skills. Do not take your car here. If this is not resolved within a few days, she can get a ride there to pick it up & take it to a place that values their customer's service! read more

If I could give hesskis zero stars, I would. I have been a customer here for many years. Until recently, I have had good service at hesskis, although a bit over priced. Last night I dropped my car off for inspection, after hours, dropping my keys into the drop box. I forgot to leave my insurance card and registration, which is admittedly my fault. The staff called me at 11:30 after having my car all morning, to tell me they couldn't inspect my car until I came to drop off the needed paperwork and to tell me that they close at noon. I asked if they could begin the inspection while I got a ride over to bring the paperwork. They refused. The man offered to have me wait to have the inspection done after I arrived. I explained that I was having work done to my home and would not be able to sit there to wait. Again I asked if they could begin the work while I got a ride over and again he refused. When I arrived, I showed the man at the desk both documents. He asked me to email them to him. At this point, I asked him why he hadn't asked me to email them over the phone when he called so that the work could have been started. He began to yell at me calling me ridiculous and saying it's not his problem I forgot the cards. I apologized for not bringing the cards but again asked why they wouldn't begin the inspection while I brought the documents. He continued to yell at me and call me names, so I walked out to a nearby store to cool off. While there, he called and said he couldn't do my inspection because I had left with the documents. I returned to hesskis and asked them for my keys back so that I could take my car to a different mechanic since til this point they had refused to do my inspection. The man at the desk refused to give me my keys. They were sitting on the counter so I reached for them. He tried to rip them away from me, pointed in my face and said "you're a fucking bitch" then threatened to call the police on me for refusing to pay for services. I had neither had any services completed or had refused to pay (since there was nothing to pay for) I began to walk out to my car when another employee followed me out asking if I would speak on the phone to the owner, John. John was apologetic about what was occurring and assured me that he would take care of the issues with the employee and that my inspection would be done immediately. A mechanic took my car into the shop, inspected it and then refused to put the stickers on, saying that I could come back to pick my car up Monday. The employee who had followed me outside instructed the mechanic to put the stickers on. After all of this, they took nearly 40 minutes to check me out. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and will absolutely never be back. The unprofessionalism and downright vulgarity that occurred at this business was appalling. read more

I bring my suv to Hesski's for my annual inspection and whenever I have a problem. I used to be completely satisfied with them. However, their service has started to lapse over the last 2 years. I thought it was just a fluke and continued to bring my suv back, but this is the last time. I will be taking my suv elsewhere for service and inspection. Tell me how I drop my car off the night before for inspection, I get a call from John at around 2 pm, explaining I need new back brakes and then tell me it won't be ready until tomorrow, as there are 8 others in front of me. How dos that happen when I dropped my car off the night before? Tomorrow is here (10:30 am) and I a still waiting to get vehicle back. read more
