Bought a Groupon for a semi synthetic oil change here. The man at the desk refused to honor the Groupon, his insisting that my vehicle required full synthetic oil. I'm feminine presenting and don't know much about mechanics so I couldn't really argue. He then listed off many things he said were wrong with my vehicle, brakes and belts etc needed replaced. I had just had all those things replaced ~6mos prior so I told him no. He pushed me in a way that made me very uncomfortable, said something along the lines of "are you sure you don't want to call your dad?" Which was so crazy to me, like you don't know me or my dad??? What if I didn't have a dad? Weird behavior. The Groupon was past the point of refundability so I lost $50 on that because the man was dishonest (I later asked a mechanic friend about oil for my car; it only had ~30k miles on it and would have been totally fine with semi synthetic). read more

Beware! Like many of the other reviews state, this location tries to upsell you on things you don't need. The manager bluntly told me they put oil change coupons out to get people in to try to find other problems.. Went in for a simple oil change and sure enough by the end was told I needed over $1,000 of replacements. Luckily I know cars and I know what they were trying to sell was BS. Just don't. I was gifted a Groupon and the person working the front was busting balls of the guy in front and myself because his team doesn't get paid if we use Groupons. It is November 2025, people are struggling. If we try to find a deal and use it, give use a break and be compassionate and understanding. He tried to argue with me about whether my car that takes full synthetic oil would be covered on the full synthetic oil change Groupon. He started telling me that it could take a different type of synthetic oil that isn't covered despite the Groupon not differentiating between the two. How about before arguing with a customer, you just make sure the argument is even relevant first. He had to take "5 seconds" to step out because my questions caused his nervous system to disregulate. As I listed my concerns Derrick was even helpful to point out a couple easy fixes to lighten the total cost of the repair. This shop truly sets a new bar for incompetence. In 4 visits, not one employee out of about 6-7 that I've dealt with here is able to figure out the correct engine my car has (it's a turbo, instead they look up the base model engine and put in the wrong oil). I have dealt with this issue 4 times at the same location and every time I have to fight tooth and nail to get them to put the right oil in my car. 2 of the 4 times it was still done incorrectly. (The oil type is printed on the oil cap, as well as being easily Googled). Then, they take zero responsibility and blame you for the experience. Today I dropped my car off and was told 1-1.5 hours until pickup. After 1.5 hours, I call the shop and ask if my car is ready. He says "no". I ask for an estimate when it'll be done, he says "whenever I call you" lol. Just insane. Overall one of the worst experiences I've had at any business ever, just absolutely zero level of competence or care at this location. read more

I took my car in for a simple oil change. After all said, I was told that whoever did my last oil change totally stripped my oil plug. I took it back to my reputable shop. No way they did that. Do not get any services done here besides an oil change. So I take all of my cars here to get an oil change because it is really cheap if you use a Groupon. They typically inspect the rest of the car to look for any thing else wrong as well. After taking it here today they recommend I replace my brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Then they noticed a power steering leak and said I needed to replace my rack and pinion and power steering pump. All in all it was going to cost $3,200. I like to get a second opinion so I took it to my other mechanic who does my maintenance/repairs who is a very honest guy. He inspected my brakes and the leak and turns out my leak was due to an overflow of oil and the pump/rack/pinion did not need to be replaced. Then he reminded me we just replaced my brake pads and rotors less than 6 months ago (see picture) you can tell they are basically new. I feel lied to and deceived. Beware of getting a cheap oil change to get you into the door and then getting over charged on the back end for maintenance that isn't necessary. read more

This Midas location was very accommodating. Already had a great special running for synthetic oil change, and honored my Groupon for a tad cheaper. They did have a wait when I first got there so I left and came back a couple hours later when it was less busy. I went in specifically for the tire rotation and synthetic oil change they have advertised on their sign for $19.99. 1 - it cost over $90 2 - it took 2 hours 3 - they didn't rotate the tires "because in case of a blowout you should have the most tread in the back" - the car is front wheel drive 4 - tried to sell me a brake change (just the front) for a total of $460 Read the other reviews, avoid this place. SCAMMERS! I bought a Groupon for a friend for an oil change. He came in and they scan the Groupon before even checking his car. They refused to do an oil change unless he pays them $600 for repairs. He said no and left. He went to a different place and got his oil change. They said that nothing was wrong with his car. This location will scam you out of your money. Lol. DONT FALL FOR 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! Please if you are a woman or anyone who knows nothing about cars PLEASE do NOT go here! I went to get my serpentine belt looked at and while I was there they then told me I had 4 other things wrong with my car including my valve cover(which was supposedly leaking), ac compressor, serpentine belt, tensioner, and oil pan(which was also leaking), which rounded up to 1,689.80 Come to find out I went to my usual shop precision tune, and nothing was wrong with my valve cover, it wasn't leaking whatsoever and everything else was fine. I spent no money at the end of the day thank god. I was offered paying the amount off (at Midas) and when I declined the man who had helped me out then changed his whole mood into making me feel like sh*t because i didn't want to get my car "fixed". Please do not go here again if you are a woman or man who doesn't know about cars. I guess it's better to stay with just getting tires. The 5-star reviews aren't even 100% also. PRICEY and UNNECESSARY CHARGES. This company will take advantage of you if you don't know much about cars. Walked in with a check engine light issue and was told by a guy named Ricky that it would be $200 just to get it checked out and that it would be waived if I got the service fixed with them. After agreeing to this I was told I need $1,000 worth of replacements on my car including spark plugs. I checked my records and saw I had them replaced recently and absolutely did not need them replaced. I was also asked to pay $550 for an oxygen sensor that I was able to get replaced elsewhere for $280. I would highly recommend going somewhere else, Ricky the store manager seemed fishy from the start. read more
