After traveling all week for work, I finally got home late and needed something comforting. This totally hit the spot! I ordered the Create Your Own Pasta with cheese tortellini and Cortonese sauce, topped with fontina cheese. The tortellini were plump and seemed fresh, and the portion was filling. The sauce had big, hearty chunks of meat and a lot of flavor. Plenty of sauce on the pasta, too. I also added a ciabatta roll (turned out there were 2 per side) and a side of the Cortonese sauce and dipped the bread into the sauce. Worth it! The roll is halved and has butter and herbs. Get it. I used to love this place. They must have new mgmt or staff bc they continue to have lower quality and constant orders being messed up recently. This is the second time I received burnt pizza. But, the more concerning issue is my margarita pizza had pepperoni on it. I'm strictly vegetarian and eating pork is also against my religion. I spit the pizza out, saw the pepperoni and called them immediately. I was upset bc I'm very strict veg. I brought the pizza back with only half a slice eaten and left it with them. It was also very overcooked and burnt, mind you. I asked for a refund. They told me there was no manager there. How are you operating on busy weeknights without a manager? She took no effort to get my contact info and I said how are you gonna get me the refund, take my phone number or something. She then PRETENDED to write my number down. THEN, the lady at the counter has the audacity to come out to my car, knocks on my window while I'm trying to leave and says there is not pepperoni on it. Look, I don't know about the rest of the pizza but I ate pepperoni and saw it and spit it out on the slice I tried. Also it's burnt. I brought it back to you with only half a slice eaten. I paid for something I did not eat and brought you proof. To nobody's surprise, I never got a call from the manager and never got a refund. This is the third time I've had issues here lately. Burnt pizza, meat on a veg pizza and once was delivered a cold gluten free crust pizza instead of the regular dough I ordered. This never used to happen. Apparently nobody manages this place bc I have never seen or been able to get ahold of one and no issues ever get resolved. I was a really good customer and sent other people here before these issues. Don't eat here unless you want to receive something you didn't order and get burnt pizza. Especially don't do a large order bc if there are mistakes you'll never get a refund. Mom and pop pizza is the better route anyway. read more

We ordered delivery. Less than 15 mins away. Our order consisted of pasta DIY, Alfredo and a calzone. It was awful by the time it arrived! The Alfredo bow tie with added chicken breast was thick and putty like. The pasta was a dark orange color & the chicken was sparse! The Alfredo with chicken stuck to the top of your mouth and was inedible. DIY pasta was spaghetti with creamy pesto. The pesto was a small teaspoon on the bottom of the container, the pasta was a brick and the meatball was with marinara and the person who ordered it couldn't have marinara but there it was on top of the spaghetti! This whole meal was also inedible! The spaghetti was too red to be creamy Alfredo and so over cooked it was inedible! The final disaster was the calzone was leathery on the outside and bland on the inside! After 2 bites we threw everything out and ordered from another place! This was an utter loss of $120! We'll never order from Mici again! Yes we understand dining in is different than delivery but this was such a failure we aren't sure about this place! read more

I've never felt more ripped off by takeout than I do right now--$ 60.00 for a small salad, small veggie, and a medium pepperoni pizza. We haven't been in for about two years, and it will probably be another two more until we return. $4.99 for a sprinkle of artichokes $7.99 for a wilted Caesar salad that's smaller than a McDonald's side salad. The pizzas were very bland and had hardly any sauce. The only reason they get two stars is that the four pieces of Parmesan on the salad were very tasty, and the crust was cooked nicely. I have been to this location 4-5 times both take out and dining in. The service is consistently great. Everyone that works there is so friendly and genuinely excited about their food. They sell amazing pizza and gelatos. They have a great deal for kids, that they eat for $2.00 every day. The pizza, when well made, is fantastic. Perfect char at the bottom with a crispy, flaky, flavorful crust.  The sauce and cheese are great as well. I have had a few instances where it was only mediocre, but mosty amazing. Today I had the DiGirolomo which is slivers of pepperoni, pepperoncni, gorgonzola and mozzarella. It was perfection in a pizza. read more

I looked at the menu beforehand and it seemed to have pasta dishes that appealed to me. My actual experience was not great. Service was fine. My Caesar salad was fair. But my pasta dish was terrible. I had the "TORTELLINI ALLA MICELI" with Alfredo, prosciutto, and green peas". I ordered this dish because it appeared to be a signature dish and I do enjoy a creamy pasta. The tortellini ate like frozen ones that had then been undercooked. They were not tasty. The prosciutto was in tiny, overly chewy dices. In my opinion, serve it shaved/thinly sliced or not at all. The peas were like shriveled pebbles. The sauce was the most bland alfredo I have ever had. My girlfriend said her lasagna was okay, but I tried it and was less than impressed. First time (ordered take out) and I'm lucky in not in the neighborhood because I would be here everyday! The best falcons I have ever tried, and I have experience. The dough/crust was incredible and had the best slight crisp the the edge, with no signs of char. Super juicy and flavorful, perfect temp, superior ingredients. I got the Margherita with double tomato and basil, plus garlic and roasted red peppers. I can't trace enough and I can be unforgiving about restaurant food. Great last minute choice! Mici has the highest rated ingredients of any pizza place in Colorado! We also order the salads and the lasagna, always delicious! Plus they are very professional in person and on the phone. This place is decent if you want a quick bite. We came in on a Saturday evening and there was only one other group dining in. Staff was very friendly and the food came out quick. This place makes you feel so warm inside from the amazing food to the helpful service. Not only did the Alfredo taste great they also have amazing dairy free raspberry gelato (that is free with the kids meal) the service was also very kind and welcoming! One of the best referrals I have received on the NextDoor app! First, let's start with they deliver!!! You have to be local (within 3 miles) of their location. This one is located at 7th and Colorado. Since I am near 1st and Colorado, I am close. This is also huge for me because I loathe giving to those third party delivery services. They don't give enough money to the drivers. Greediness is unbecoming. Plus, my last encounter with a delivery person was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Never again. Second, they have the BEST thin crust pizza I have ever had in Colorado. It isn't too crunchy, which is also my preference. I am over the moon that they have black olives. I can now have my favorite pizza! Third, their food is so filling! I have tried several of their pastas, a few different pizzas and two different calzones. I haven't tried their Cannoli yet. I do wish they (and EVERYONE) would be more authentic when they make them by using pistachio instead of chocolate. Lastly, "Cap" was a fantastic employee with excellent customer service. She got my order (with specific requests) correct and that goes a long way for me. She definitely needs to be appreciated for her hard work and attentiveness. They do have a delivery fee but it was minimal compared to any of the DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub fees that I have seen. I plan to try the Italian soda soon. I am sure it will be good, as its bottled and most usually are. I do hope they get other desserts, including Spumoni! They also have an app to order from and you can earn rewards. I do wish they'd concoct a few more veggie options, though! Creating a custom can get $$$. I will note that we've ordered directly from their website for delivery and have always had issues where order was late and mislabeled as completed when it wasn't. You know a place has really touched your heart when you read bad reviews and immediately start hurling slanderous insults at the writers. But seriously, if the best pizza for your is pizza hut, this "ain't for you boo". What made me a super fan is definitely the crust. That being said, I can imagine a world, a bleak dark world, where perhaps this crust would turn some off. The crust isn't purely yeasty doughy flour based but it has soooooooo much more flavor than those types of crusts. Like this isn't a crust that you have to dip in garlic butter in order to get some flavor on it, those flavors are already infused with in the crust. There is a sweetness to it which I think MAY be like a finely ground corn meal. Maybe I don't know but that is how I could describe. My father loved his salad and liked his soup. The greens were crisp and the combination of other toppings and dressing great. He commented that he was sooo full after eating it. The bread that accompanied the soup was crunchy on the outside and doughy and garlic. I did use my yelp coupon for a free cookie. The cookie was a Florentine. So 2 caramelized lace sugar rounds with chocolate gluing them together. Delightful. The service was out of this world. My dad was having trouble deciding what to get and they were really helpful at making a good recommendation. I also enjoyed the decor. Clean modern light grey walls with a lot of light and natural air due to the retractile walls. I was very surprised that it wasn't much noisier given being right on busy Colorado Avenue. They have tables but they also have some stools that allow you to lookout at the new hospital which was particularly meaningful for me and my dad since last fall he was there at the old VA being treated for a heart attack. One star because I can't give them zero. The last three times I've ordered from here they missed having my food ready by a half hour or more each time. This latest time I was waiting for 30 minutes before finally asking where my food was, at 40 minutes they informed me they forgot to make a 10" pizza, which was one of two things I ordered. Which means they stared at me for 40 minutes without figuring out that I'd probably like my food so I could leave. On a positive note, I haven't paid in any of the three times I've ordered as they consistently refund me based on their incompetence. Given that they keep offering gift cards, you could probably order food from here and have them actually owe you money. What a great find. I pass Mici to and from my Dr's office. Let me say up front I will stop every time I pass by. A unique place. Another reviewer said what Chipotles is to Mexican food Mici is to Italian food. Spot on. Fresh is the first thing to point out. I had the Pomodoro soup that had small diced tomatoes and nicely spiced. The lasagna was large and tasty. Fresh soft noodles, very nice Tuscan meat sauce, cooked perfectly with a little crunchy top. A most enjoyable meal. Two very minor constructive criticisms. First the red wine (blend) was not at room temp. It was at 68-70 degs not 55 degs. Otherwise nice drinking red. Second was the cutlery. The forks have a sharp edge which cuts into you hands. Understandable but fixable. Overall great good and I am coming back. read more

Amazing prices for big portions! Everything tastes homemade and I always have leftovers. The side salad is big enough to be my lunch, but I love their pasta so I always get both. Drinks are self serve and they also have a few wine options (Prosecco, pino Grigio, red blend) and peroni and a local beer. Homemade gelato with at least a dozen rotating flavors. You can tell this is a family owned spot and I'm glad I stumbled upon it, always a great meal when I'm in the area for work.
