Walking in just read how to order, you tell them the sides you want, then move on the the meat, the team is very friendly, there are bottled drinks, but get the soft drinks as you can go back for refills. The side w very versatile, we tried the rice that had good flavor, along with the beans, but the star for us was the creamed corn, this was amazing, the Mac and cheese good creamy. The pork ribs were peppery and good smoke taste, the jalapeño sausage was great, that brisket was special burnt ends and the fatty part of the brisket was delicious. Amazing ambience, and you can get your own To go boxes. All around amazing experience.

I can say I am a fan and enjoyed my dining experience more here in Dallas! The ambiance is amazing and just beautiful. The restaurant is sexy, chic, glamorous and very stylish. The colors are rich and vibrant. The cherry blossoms and red accents throughout the dining room and bar area are stunning. Service was great and my waiter Que was pleasant. He was polite and friendly. Food was good, but could be better. I want great food with these prices. The garlic noodles were tasty, but I have had way better garlic noodles. They were missing something. Now three of us ordered the surf and turf rice. This is my favorite dish. The portions of lobster and steak were all different on our plates. Mine had the least and seemed a bit skimpy compared to my friends. We all agreed on this. So the chef needs to do better controlling the portions of lobster and steak. It was still flavorful and delicious. Cocktails are weak in my opinion. Both in Vegas and Dallas. My friends and I also agreed on this. Overall Komodo is a lovely space. Next up I plan to try the Miami location. This restaurant is great for special occasions, date night with friends or your significant other. It's definitely worth visiting and having the opportunity to experience the Asian flair!

It was my very first time going to Komodo and the first time experience was not the greatest. Before I go into my review, I did enjoy the ambiance, decor and food. The food was actually really good and the portions were decent. I ordered the wagyu beef dumplings and garlic noodles for starters. I initially chose the Peking duck and was super excited to try it. This is where it started to downhill... As we were ordering starters and drinks, the drinks came out fairly quick and the starters did take about 15-20 minutes which I understand it was a Saturday night. After most of the appetizers came out, we decided to order our entrees because we noticed how long the appetizers took. About hour and some time goes by, the waiter comes back to tell me they just ran out of Peking duck. Which was disappointing so I quickly ordered the Korean fried chicken. The timing with how they ran out the entrees was a whole mess. There were two food runners that were confused with the food orders. 1 of 8 of my friends got their food way before all of us, we had waited an additional 15 minutes before 2 more entrees came out. Oh! My second appetizer (garlic noodles) still haven't come out yet and some of my friends had their entrees....My Korean fried chicken came out but it was fairly quickly so I'm not sure they just threw it in real quick for an apology of taking so long. Two of the breasts we're hard and tough to cut. So then we waited and waited for my very last friend to get her Lo mein...it was an extra 45 minutes until she was able to get her food!!!!! Unacceptable. I was so irritated about that and just ruined the mood. We were all done eating our food by then. We were already frustrated and ready to go at that point, but as soon as she got her food, the veggies were undercooked and it was an overall upsetting situation. I wish I had a better outcome and better celebration for my birthday. I would only recommend this place if you have nothing to do..because you will be waiting for your food for a long time. I suggest to eat before you go and by the time you digest, your food will be ready

Ordered Turkey, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and Mac and Cheese on the 2 meat combo plate. First off, that was $27 which I thought was rather high but with the hype I thought it might be worth it. The turkey was tender and juicy and rather flavorful, except for the end piece of turkey breast (I assume) with the skin side which was extremely tough. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was okay, but it didn't really retain either the jalapeño, cheddar, or the smoky taste which I thought was disappointing. The Mac and Cheese had bacon bits on it which were nice and crispy but the Mac and Cheese wasn't very rich or complex flavor wise, which I found slightly underwhelming. The sauce was super runny and while it had flavor, I never think having to put sauce on stuff to give it flavor is the answer. All that being said, for $27 I wasn't going to leave anything on the plate. The service I thought was rather hands off and I'm surprised nobody came and checked on us although that may be just how things are. The ambiance was cool with old license plates and pictures along with some cool western themed things up on the walls to make it seem warm and homey. All in all, I was left with the feeling that there should've been more and I was kinda disappointed after all the hype I've seen and all the gravitas that the name Pecan Lodge carries with it. I'd say probably a 6.5-7/10 so that lands me at 3 stars because it really didn't feel 4 star worthy.

They sat us by the window and the view from the 49th floor was amazing.. The server Jordan was top notch. She explained the menu so well, it made it harder for us to choose what we wanted to eat. Spectacular views and certainly worth it when you consider how much the brunch is going to cost anyway. Service by Thomas was personable and simply exceptional. It was definitely a nice and relaxing brunch with a fantastic view. My wife started with the Queen Bee cocktail, which she loved! I had some chamomile tea. No teabags here, just fresh leaf. For the fixed menu, there were optional upgrades with each course but your only real choice was for your entrée. We upgraded our starters with the caviar deviled eggs. They were very good and my wife thought these were the best deviled eggs she had ever tasted. The eggs were served with the first course, which was a small charcuterie board and a basket of delicious biscuits and muffins. I can't emphasize how good the biscuits and muffins were. For our entrée, we both had the lobster eggs Benedict. Not much lobster that you could taste (very small chunks) but overall it was delicious and the eggs were perfectly poached. It came with sides of pork, belly, fried potato, and Italian meatballs. My wife raved about the potato. We weren't huge fans of the other two sides though. Dessert was a spectacular strawberry shortcake. Delicious but unfortunately, very filling. Even more unfortunate we couldn't stop ourselves from consuming it. When the bill came, I was a little disappointed to see that they had already included a 20% tip in the bill for a party of two. I was going to tip more, but I hate when the tip is hidden like that. I say hidden because there was still a line for a tip that did not note it was an additional tip. It would have been easy to miss and double tipped. I assume they do that because some people must not be tipping at brunch. I'm just glad I caught it and didn't double up on the tip. I did leave an additional tip because of how well the service went and how great the meal was. Speaking of tipping, I always tip the valet, but I have not encountered where they charge me $13.50 and then want a 20 to 25% tip on top of that to park my car. Yes, I could have pushed the "custom tip" button and not tipped, but that would've been awfully awkward and it wasn't worth it on Mother's Day. Talk about tip fatigue!!The valet tip experience Just left a bad taste at the end of a wonderful brunch at Monarch. Someone should fix all this tip crapola where you can't differentiate any service or service difference. It's a negative reflection on the establishment even if it's a separate company doing the valet.

The restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas and had a warm, low light atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive, explained every menu in detail and our waters were topped up often throughout the meal. My brother first tried some salmon nigiri, and said the salmon was high quality. I got the Pork Tomahawk, and it was very good. It could have been a bit more moist, but I found it enjoyable. For sure indulge in one of the sauces if you get it. My partner got the lamb rack. He raved about the tzatziki style sauce and found it very enjoyable. My mom got the salmon dish from the mains, and said it was the best salmon she'd ever had. My brother got the real standout, which was the (I think) Kansas City striploin. One of the best steaks I've had in my life for sure. Cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. We all shared an Apple dessert that was lovely, especially the high quality ice cream that came with it. Kindly, the restaurant also brought out a complementary special occasion dessert of cake pops and cookies. Overall, you may note that the prices are steep (and I agree), but this is very much a special occasion style place. I would return for another occasion like a birthday or anniversary in the future, but not for anything day to day.
