I told them that was fine. Monday they called me at the end of business and told me that the motor was fixed but it still wasn't working so it was also going to need a new master switch and in total it would be $1000 and the part wouldn't be in till Wednesday! I immediately called Car X and he told me that it sounds like they misdiagnosed it and they need to check to make sure the motor was actually bad before I pay for it. I called them back and they told me the motor was definitely bad. I told them that I would be in the next morning to pick up the old motor and I was having it tested, and that I would not be paying for a new one if the old one still worked. The next morning when my husband went to pick it up they said it was back in the car and magically working and I only had to pay for the switch. Interesting huh? At this point I was livid and called corporate. Then the next morning I get a call from the store manager who had been off for the last 2 days and said he came in to a note from one of his mechanics saying to give me my car back and not fix it. I guess they were mad that I called corporate? I told him that they've had my car for days and that it needs to be fixed! I explained to him how they tried to screw me over and told him I would call corporate again if need be so he apologized. He gave a discount on my service and threw in some free wiper blades but the entire thing was an absolute nightmare and if I hadn't asked for that old motor back to have it tested they 100% would have charged me for a part that I didn't need!

I did have to return back to the shop after finding out they forgot to put the tire pressure cap back on the tire. Which wouldn't have been a big issue if that same tire wasn't also low on air. I think this is a great shop that offers honest work for a franchise, it's the small things that matter when dealing with someone's car.
