Stopped to use the free air pump. The pump is free for both customers, and non customers. We were on our way elsewhere, and knew it was close. There seemed to be a slow leak in one of our tires over the last month. Just as we were finishing, the valve stem on our tire broke. (Not the air machine's falt.) Luckily the service station was open. They got us in and out in about 30 minutes. My husband called where we originally purchased the tires. Their price to replace the part would have been about $5 less. The $5 was not worth the hassle of having the car towed, then waiting for it to be fixed. If they could fix it right away. The whole transaction was quick and easy. Inside is a waiting area with a t.v. and complimentary coffee. There is also a restroom near the the waiting area. So back on February 19, 2026 I place an order on the website for new tires for my car. I had called to see if the tires that I order were in so I could get an appt to have them tires put on. I was told they had arrived. Went to AAA 8059 Brick Car Care 718 Rt 70, Brick, NJ (732) 451-0600. I was there for my appt. on Feb. 21, 2026. Glen Thomson was helping me out. He was going crazy looking for the tires I had ordered. After about approx 30 minutes Glen had explained that the tires that were sent by the tire company were the wrong size. My order number T392018 (I had order AW-03 Advanta) the total that I paid online was $778.95. When Glen had reorder that tires it was under T391585. Advantage HPZ-02. The total was $676.59, which surprised me because I had said that I already paid an amount & it was taken out of my checking account since I used a debt card. So I asked Glen would I be reimbursed $102.36? Of course Glen couldn't answer. I asked if I should call the tires company myself. He gave me the phone number I called & was told they couldn't help me that it had to be AAA. A manage from Brick Car Care called me back 3 weeks later & said that they were working on getting me a reimbursement. It is now almost a month & a half & I'm stlll waiting. This is very unprofessional of them to take so long. I will never go there again. If I do not receive any type of reimbursement I will be canceling my AAA membership. read more

MIKE had our vehicle for two months. "Fixed" the issue twice, said they test drove it and BOTH times we had to be towed back to the mechanic within driving LESS THAN 5 miles. Refused to even start to work on the vehicle until they replaced everything we already replaced because of "safety" issues but let us drive the car away twice without fully being fixed and checked. Mike was very difficult with poor communication and customer service skill. He was eventually able to recognize neither him nor his mechanics were qualified for the job at the end, TWO MONTHS OF GOING BACK AND FORTH. Finally, they took it to the ford dealership where they told Mike they needed to replace all the parts they had replaced that we already replaced to begin with. It's been well over a month since our car left the "care" of Mike and he has refused to issue a full refund including the labor of his mechanics. He said he'd send a check out, a check never came. So we disputed it with the bank and Mike said he had to cancel the check that probably was never written. And NOW MIKE REFUSES TO WORK WOTH THE BANK TO REIMBURSE THE $1700 he owes us for doing nothing but wasting our time. read more

I fell for the $20 oil change deal y'all. Then they told me that I needed this and that and that and this. My bf ended up changing the belt they said had cracks and guess what?? NO CRACKS were found. They're using some hyper sensitive diagnostic to predict what you MIGHT need and sometimes its gonna be a waste of money. Leaving two stars because the oil change was fine. Sure. The folks at the DENT location are always on top of it. They provide great service, and the staff are always busy. Westside roads are full of debris and I find myself in here a couple times a year for patching and I also utilize them for general maintenance on my vehicles. Pricing is on par with other shops in the area but I utilize my AAA membership for a slight discount. read more

I took my vehicle to this location Friday morning; evening prior I came out to a flat tire. The manager got my van in immediately and the tech is had it in the lift within minutes. The technician looked over my tire and could not find anything wrong with the actual tire but replaced the valve stem and sealed around the rim. The manager explained what had been done to repair my tire and said "Happy Holidays" and did not charge me for the repair. I was scheduled to leave for Florida to start a new job same morning, the flattire along with a few other issues were weighing heavily on me. This was the only tire service place near my work or home that could get me an appointment same day. I was told this is because they are finally fully staffed unlike many competitors. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly which helps drastically when you know very little about cars. I was able to wait inside their comfy and clean lounge area with free and fresh coffee/water. Took my car in for an oil change and was surprised to see my bill totaled $93.78. (No AAA discount on oil changes nowadays?) I asked them to use whatever oil was recommended for my 2012 Ford Focus as I didn't know anything about oil types and to let me know if there was anything else I needed, like windshield wipers, etc. I have no idea if they checked my brakes, suspension, battery, etc., which are done free for AAA members. The previous management went over the checklist so I had a history of work performed/checked. After scheduling an appointment ahead of time for 10am for my oil change, I was not checked out until 12 noon. The demeanor of the folks was quite unfriendly. Don't get me wrong, I want them to be their best at car repair/service, however, a courteous smile goes a long way. I called because there was smoke and a burning smell coming from my car. They said to bring it in right away and arranged for a Lyft to bring me home. It was fixed by the end of the day. They replaced the gasket on the oil filter and replaced a burned out bulb, all free of charge! I highly recommend Sumerel in Dent. They are honest, courteous and very reliable. I stopped in right before closing on a Saturday and Dominic took the time to test drive my car, pin up a loose piece of the undercarriage, and give me assurance that I was going to be able to make it back home before having repairs done. He was incredibly kind taking time out of his day to help me without an appointment. He ended up not even charging me for the diagnostic. Manager stated since they were only six inches apart, they are not permitted to plug and I would need a new tire. He had one matching tire but it was five years old. Their "lowest price out the door guarantee" is in fact no guarantee. I offered them an opportunity to match Discount Tire (another national retailer) local competitor as they require. They won't match the price, which is fine. But they were rude about it claiming I was getting 2nd rate tires and snarked with the comment of "good luck" on my way out the door. You don't get 2nd rate tires from national retailers with lifetime coverage on the tires, period. Also every online retailer beat them by $100+ per tire (Discount Tire beat them by $100/tire) Was in the market for new tires on both of my vehicles, so they were going to earn my business as my go-to auto service retailer. But after dealing with a manager (seemed like the manager) who was trying to shun me for going with the ACTUAL best price out the door, not a chance I'll go there or ever send people their way again. (Sent a co-worker when I saw their Buy 2 Get 2 Coopers deal and he got them) Needless to say, there is in fact no lowest price guarantee, don't buy it. They'll match only if they can still make enough commission off of you. I've been a TireDiscounters guy for years, but I'm also a tight wad so I shop around for the best deal before I get service done, pretty much always end up at TD once you throw in alignment and lifetime coverage. Discount Tire finally beat them and they were really friendly. I really didn't mind that Bob Sumerel couldn't match the price as I already scheduled with Discount Tire, but the fact that the manager tried to shun me for making a smarter purchase just wasn't necessary and showed me he was angry I wasn't putting money in his pocket. I bought my tires here and have gone in several times to have them rotated. Every time I go in, the service is stellar! When I call to schedule my appointment, they are always able to find a time that works for me. They men that work the counter are friendly and love to banter. My tire rotations have never taken more than about a half hour. They have a nice seating area with a TV, coffee, and even free WIFI to pass the time. As you can see by viewing my profile, i have never reviewed a comoany on yelp, or gone out of my way to write poor reviews that are unjustified. I am just that upset by the way my father and I were treated today that I will make it known anywhere I can to save other customers time and money. my family and i have been loyal patrons for years of this location, and ive bought at least five tires in the past two years from them. that is, however, part of the problem. i have been buying the stock tires recommended for my vehicle, which are cooper touring tires for a dodge dart( i finally got better tires of a different brand from tire discounters after the incident today). but anyway i have been buying what Bob Sumerel employees recommend and say are the best, but about every six months the tire either gets a leak in the tread or a bubble in the side wall that cannot be repaired. i have been faithfully continuing to just buy another new one because i understand that things happen and i may have hit a curb once or twice. however after all of the.money ive spent at this place ive been extremely cautious in the past 6 months to not do anything to damage these tires. well, last night i end up with a flat and hear air pouring out of the tire. i was close to home but it was midnight and i had no choice but to have someone a few.miles down the street from me help me but my spare on. i took said tire to bob sumeral today. when examining it, the tread is COMPLETELY worn, and there is a.warranty on the tire for soecifically that. when turning the tire over, we found that there was a HUGE split about 13 inches l9ng around the whole sidewall. my father went with me with all receipts. unfortunately i did not see his name but an older man working this morning that appeared to be a manager assisted us. first, he stated that the receipts were no good bc he couldnt tell what they were for. they are YOUR receipts so can i help that you cant understand them? he then said there was also no way of looking at the tire to see when it was bought ( which the man at tire discounters did in a matyer of seconds- it was bought THIS YEAR. we continue to try to be friendly and explain what happened. he ikmeduately became very rude to my dad stating hes been in the business for 35 years and has jever been wrong. ( so has my dad). so despite this we ignore the rudeness and wait for him to say the warranty wouldnt cover it bc i was obviously driving on it flat. i exolained i have a warning in my car that tslls me when it is flat and that when that happened i immediately had the spare put on. if i wiuldve driven on that tire with a 13 inch.split i would have died on the highway. he then LAUGHS in my face and says it doesnt matter what i say bc hes right. at this point i was upset he was disrespecting my dad and myself . we didnt even ask to get a discount or to have the warranty cover it . he was just so set on proving it was my fault bc he wanted his commission. at this point i asked if anything could be done. he stated he would givw us 50 percent off although this was my fault. the total would be 117. you can see on the four receipts thats i brought in that this was what i paid everytime and ur going to try to make us feel bad that youre giving an unwarranted discount? my dad who is never rude especially to ppl in the service industry stated that his treatment toward us was unacceptable and we walked out and right down the street to tire discounters where the man was very nice stated he had never seen anything that bad before anf gave us a better quality different brand tire for 20 bucks cheaper than bob sumerals "half off". sorry sir but you have lost my whole family as customers and most likely more ppl that see this bc you wanted to be disrespectful for a commission that you didnt get anyway. unbelievable. read more
